Survivors within Jewish communities
around the world are often ostracized
and shamed into silence.
That shame is crippling and debilitating
and so many desperately just want to be
supported.
I realized in the last few years that my
toughest is being able to use my trauma
pain to help others.
I actually opened an Instagram account
for breaking the silence now. Not my own
name because I really felt like me
standing up and talking in my community
is breaking the silence that so many are
not able to break.
In Australia, I've been privileged to
speak before the Prime Minister
before government more than a few times.
And I've been doing that proudly and
dignified as a Jewish person in the
community. The only Jewish person who
goes to those events and speaks up.
I've been able to connect with survivors
from Jewish communities all around the
world and support them at the different
stages of their journey.
