Who are the top 20 Jewish singers today? It’s been a while since we counted down the most popular Jewish American singers, so we’re back again today to count down the 20 biggest singers in Jewish Music today! Get ready because the top singers have changed places a lot & this video has a shocking surprise at the end with first place! Starting off the list we wanna give a shout out to Duvie Shapiro. Duvie made the list last time, but since he hasn’t released any music in a very long time he’s coming in at the 22nd spot barely missing the top 20. Another singer that just missed the top 20 is Lipa Schmeltzer. Lipa was very popular back in the day, & he’s still pretty popular today. Lipa has been releasing a ton of new music lately but he hasn’t really had any major hits as of late. Number 20 is Yissachar Dror. Yissachar recently released his debut album & he’s been growing a lot in popularity. It’s safe to say he’s gonna climb this list pretty quickly, but for now he’s in the 20th spot. Yissachar really needs to start releasing some music videos though if he wants to become a household name. Number 19 is Danny Palgon. Danny is a friend of Mordechai Shapiro who made his debut in Jewish music singing Up All Night together with Mordy on his Hakol Mishamayim album. Danny Palgon actually got voice lessons for a period of time from Mordy until he quit only to come back a year later - but that’s a big story for another time. Make sure you subscribe to the channel so you don’t miss our awesome videos coming to the channel. Danny Palgon released 2 albums & a bunch of singles to date, but only a couple of his songs have become semi popular. Danny’s Bou single has close to half a million plays on spotify & his Eimosai song has just over 200,000 plays to date. Next up we have Nachas in 18th place. Nachas is a pretty popular singer with 2 albums released to date. A lot of his songs have over half a million plays on Spotify & he usually releases a couple of singles a year. Nachas has been in the industry for over a decade now & he’s been a relevant voice all the while. 17th place is Dovid Pearlman. Dovid released his debut album in 2021 & he’s been releasing singles every so often since then. Dovid’s Chaver Sheli song & music video was extremely popular getting well over 250,000 views on youtube & over 500,000 plays on spotify. Dovid’s Ashira Lashem song with Ari Goldwag was also pretty popular, getting 350,000 plays on Spotify to date. Most recently Dovid’s Achshav single has been gaining popularity - but aside from those 3 songs Dovid hasn’t had many other popular releases. Dovid’s future is really bright though & if he releases more great music he’s sure to climb on this list in the future. 16th place is Michoel Pruzansky. Pruz has been a popular name in Jewish Music for many years, & has seen tremendous success & popularity with some of his music. Some of Pruz’s songs have over a million plays on Spotify & he’s released quite a few albums to date. The last original album Pruz released was over 6 years ago, so if he releases another awesome album in the next year or 2 he may very well climb back up to a much higher spot on this list. 15th place is Shulem Lemmer. Shulem’s Butterfly song he recently sang together with Abie Rotenberg has been really popular & his most recent album isn’t one to sleep on either. We’ll see where Shulem’s career takes him - but he’s in a pretty good position already to continue growing. In 14th place we have Ari Goldwag. Ari has released a ton of music throughout his career & every so often he comes out with a massive hit song. Ari’s Am Echad song from back in the day managed to get over 10 million views on Youtube making it one of the most viewed Jewish Music videos of all time. Ari has been pretty consistent lately releasing a new album every 1 to 2 years & it's pretty exciting! He’s also been doing a ton of collaborations trying to boost smaller less known singers. Ari is also known for his acapella albums having released over 10 acapella albums throughout his career. Taking the 13th place spot is Moshe Tischler. Moshe’s been a rising star ever since he entered the jewish music scene a few years ago. Though his 2nd album wasn’t as popular as his 1st album he’s still been growing pretty steadily. Moshe is one of the most popular Chasuna singers today & he’s released a couple of hit songs since his debut. Bishvili, Modeh Ani, Tefilas Haneiros & Abba Gadol have been some of his most popular songs to date & he’s expected to continue growing over time! 12th place is Uri Davidi. Uri’s first 2 albums were some of the biggest in Jewish music, but his most recent album didn’t really hit it off. Uri Davidi has seen enormous popularity with songs from his first 2 albums getting millions of plays on Spotify, & music videos getting millions of views on Youtube. Uri’s a great singer so hopefully he can come back quickly with a new incredible album that’s more similar to his first 2! In 11th place we have Yoni Z. Yoni’s been doing great things in Jewish music ever since he entered the scene & he’s only been growing. He’s got 2 albums out to date & some of the most incredible music videos jewish music has ever seen. Yoni’s been releasing a bunch of singles lately - but we’re already waiting for his next album. The gap between Yoni’s first 2 albums was 4 years, so hopefully we get a new one a lot sooner! 10th place is Beri Weber. Beri was one of the most popular jewish singers only a couple of years ago, but then he went on a 7 year hiatus with no new original album from 2016 to 2022. Beri's latest album didn’t take off like his music used to back in the day & his recent music videos haven’t been even close to as popular as the ones he did many years ago. Beri’s got 2 music videos in the 10 million view area - which is pretty incredible, so hopefully he can find a way to get his new music to be just as popular! 9th place is 8th day. This may be the first time we’re doing a video where 8th day isn’t in 8th place. 8th day is one of those really popular duo’s & they’ve been around for quite a while. 8th day was the first to release a major jewish music video when they released Yalili which has 7 & a half million views to date! The duo’s last album was released in 2021, so expect a new album in the next year or so. Number 8! Mordechai Ben David or MBD for short! MBD is referred to a lot as the king of Jewish music as he has been singing for many years. MBD has been slowing down in releases recently but he did release a new album last year. MBD hasn’t really done any music videos, but a video of him singing Shiru Lamelech has over 14 million views on youtube! Number 7 is Baruch Levine. Baruch’s latest album was pretty popular & the music video he released for Zeh Hakatan together with Shmueli Ungar reached a quarter of a million views pretty quickly. Baruch Levine has been in the industry for a while & he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Number 6! Simcha Leiner! Simcha is known best for his slow songs and talented voice nowadays. It wasn’t always like that though & back in the day Simcha was one of the best in both slow & fast songs. Pischi Li, Kol Berama, Kol Hakavod, and Ribono are some of his best-performing songs to date - & Simcha’s released 5 full original albums in his career so far. Simcha’s most recent album didn’t really perform like his first 3, so hopefully Simcha is able to go back to more of his older style music & find a way to continue his rapid growth. Simcha’s music videos are solid & he’s even filmed and edited a couple of them himself. His most viewed video - Ribono has close to 3 & half million views so far, & it continues to grow gaining a couple a hundred thousand new views each year. 5th place is Shmueli Ungar. This is the first time Shmueli made the top 5 on one of our lists & it seems he continues to grow more & more. Shmueli is one of the hottest wedding singers on the market & it's not for no reason. Shmueli’s Mach A Bracha song in 2018 really magnified his growth & its music video has just under 10 million views. Shmueli has been releasing a bunch of new music recently & his new album is sure to make him even more popular! In 4th place we have a shocking surprise! Joey Newcomb! Joey has been growing rapidly ever since he made his debut on the jewish music scene a couple of years ago. Joey’s got a bunch of new albums in the works & he’s been doing a ton of major concerts recently. Joey continues to get more & more popular & some have even nicknamed him the uncle moishy for adults! Coming in at 3rd place is the one & only Avraham Fried. Avraham is still so incredibly popular despite the fact that he’s been singing for just about half a century. Avraham Fried is one of the most legendary singers in jewish music history & he’s still doing great things today. He hasn’t released an album in a really long time, but he’s been putting out singles every now & then! Avraham Fried is not going anywhere, we just hope he’ll release an album sometime soon! Yaakov Shwekey takes the number 2 spot. Shwekey is one of the best things that’s ever happened to Jewish Music! Shwekey was extremely popular back in his prime & as recently as 2019 Shwekey was probably the number 1 Jewish singer in a landslide. Shwekey’s last album didn’t perform as well as his albums usually do & he’s coming back with a brand new awesome album very soon! Shwekey is really a legendary singer & it’s hard to say he’s in 2nd place - but there’s just 1 singer that has to go a little higher on the list. The singer taking the number 1 spot on this list is… well, actually, we have both Mordechai Shapiro & Benny Friedman tied for first place. For the first time in Jewish Singers history we have a tie for the first place spot! In 2022 the 3 most popular songs were Ashira, Yama, & L’chai Olamim - a song from Mordy, a song from Benny, & a song from the 2 of them together! The 2 of them are great friends in real life & perform great in concert together. We’re sure to see a lot more collaboration between the 2 most popular singers in Jewish music, & hopefully Mordy & Benny are only just getting started! So now that you know the most popular Jewish Singers - you’re gonna wanna find out which one of them has the most subscribers on youtube! You wouldn’t believe that it’s actually not Mordy or Benny.
