2023 was a great year for Jewish music. And today, we're counting down the top 10 songs released in 2023. Though 2023 may have not been the best year for Jewish music, there are still a ton of hits that came out, and you wouldn't believe which ones are the most popular. Starting off with an honorable mention, we have Yoni's Hakola Toba, which came out on the one-year anniversary of his massive accident. In case you haven't heard, Yonyi got in a crazy moped accident in 2022 while riding a Vespa scooter in Rome. and Barak Hashem, he miraculously recovered. To celebrate and thank Hashem for the miracles, Yonyi put out a beautiful song on the one-year anniversary of the accident. [Music] The next one is the only Benny Friedman song to make the list this year. 222, released in time for Russashana, takes the number 10 spot. Benny is getting ready to release a brand new album though, so next year he should appear on the list a bunch more. [Music] Ninth place is taken up by Shalom Lemer's Omar Raban of his recently released album Kesm. Schulam's album had quite a few popular songs that barely missed this list, but this one was by far the most popular song on the album. It's a truly beautiful song, and there's even an incredible music video to go along with it. [Music] in far me. Eighth place is Hidden in America by Hershey Weinberger, Leapa Schmeltzer, and Dovy Meisles. This Shabas song was quite a long one, but it was done really well and was therefore pretty popular. [Music] Seventh place is AB Rottenberg and Shalom Lemer's Butterfly Single. This song is truly beautiful and it's no surprise it makes the list, especially with A Rotheenberg. My dear butterfly, show yourself and the world just very high. You can fly, you can soar once you unlock the door. And Hashem will be there at your side. Sixth place is Ali Paul by Alam and Israel. This song really excelled in performance and being that it was collaboration with an Israeli singer, it did really well, but not as well as some of the other collabs coming up on this list. [Music] Before we start with the top five, we got to mention something important. This is yet another collaboration with an Israeli singer and in fact every song left on this list is a collab other than the number one has been rising in popularity lately and this beautiful song done together with Mod Shapiro was a real treat. It's not the best song of the year for either of them but it is still a great song. [Music] My heart. [Music] Yes. and David first pops into the list at fourth place onto this list in the number three spot. Bar's song Zaha Katan done in collaboration with younger was a massive hit. This song was by far the most popular on Bar's album and though there were quite a few popular songs from Bar this year, this song is the only one that managed to make it on the list. [Music] Though you did release a couple of his own songs this year, some of which actually did pretty well, he only made it on this list due to the collaborations he's done this year. collaboration with Barry Weber for Matt Dub's ani song was a massive hit and although it wasn't close to as popular as last year's Matt Dub single, it was still a huge hit. Honey, I [Music] taking in the number one spot, we have Morash Shapiro's single and music video, Ani Houdi. Ani Houdi is yet another incredibly popular Mor Shapiro song. And though this song doesn't come close to some of his other hits, it's still a great song. Mort's music video for this song didn't do as well as some of his others. But with about a million views in less than a year, it's still a clear success. [Music] sing.
