Jewish Law on Lending Interest, Profit, and Torah

If you're going to lend money to a fellow Jew, you're not allowed to charge interest at all, zero? If you are doing business with the nations, you're allowed to invest subject to profit or loss, but if you're going to lend the money, uh then you have to charge them rates that are not predatory. And if you're charging the nations rates that are predatory, you are desecrating Hashem's name, you're desecrating the Torah, you're going to be punished endlessly, you're considered a wicked person. According to Halakha, you should not even be counted in minyan. And in fact, at the time of uh the Sanhedrin, or even when Israel had significant power, they would beat you with a whip uh until you agreed to stop doing that business.
