CCTV Footage Captures the Lubavitcher Rebbe Burning Chametz Before Passover
For the eight days of Passover, we're commanded not to eat or own any Chametz (leavened bread). On the eve of Passover, we fulfill another Mitzvah by burning any Chametz that remains. To help with the fulfillment of this Mitzvah, the furnace in the basement of 770 was opened to enable individuals from the Crown Heights community to come and burn their Chametz. At ( a.m. on the burned-in timecode), the Rebbe can be seen entering to burn the Chametz. If you spot anyone else whom you recognize, make sure to leave a timestamp in the comments with their name. Thank you to Rabbi Yitzchak Wilhelm for providing the footage. 14 Nissan 5746 Watch full-length videos of the Rebbe: https://go.jem.tv/YT (microdonation) FOLLOW US Facebook: @JewishMedia @JEMDailyVideo Instagram: @Jewish_Media Twitter: @JEMediaOrg YouTube: JewishMedia Website: JEMCentral.org
