before starting you know teaching Torah for nearly the last decade now uh I spent uh two decades almost 20 years uh on Wall Street running a business uh that had different parts whether it was a hedge fund an insurance agency a brokerage firm uh lots of employees lots of uh uh opportunities lots of uh Investments and uh we had quite a bit of experience in the business world and uh as I've told you guys many times I've been young and I've been older and I've never found a single person that I could certainly tell you this is a trustworthy person you can rely on you can take that uh guy uh you know and and pretty much whatever they say that's what they're going to do in business why because people tend to uh lose themselves when it comes to business people people tend to forget about God when it comes to business they forget about ethics when it comes to business and many times uh it's uh it's not necessarily uh the plan uh but it ends up happening that way they overpromise and underd deliver they tell you they'll finish the work in a week and six months later they still haven't even done half the job they tell you that they'll be able to produce this type of results but a year or later they tell you that they simply don't even know what you're talking about and uh you know people simply do a lot of different things when it comes to uh uh when it comes to uh business that uh are horrible and uh one of the things that uh we want to do is to learn one of the ingredients that uh the Torah provides to us that uh can certainly improve not only your business but your experience in business I see that our Tik Tock just went offline I don't have the patience to play with it it now but we'll figure it out perhaps maybe next week either way the um the truth is when it comes to business if a person follows the Torah business becomes pleasurable business becomes successful regardless of the dollar amounts business becomes a very different animal than what it is today and when it comes to business people spend most of their lives uh conducting some form of business or another whether they are a entrepreneur that has a new idea every other day or they're an employee that's a uh you know one of these long-standing employees from the previous generation that's been with the same company for 30 years or they're one of the current Generations uh people that uh uh jumps around every one or two years just so can get another raise and they go to a different company or they are one of these people that changes profession Al together every so often simply because they figure that the grass is greener on the other side so the experience in business uh for most people has very very high highs and very very low lows and very few people actually experience business in a fashion where the Torah tells us this is actually supposed to be another way for you to serve hem another way uh for you to show your true colors and your true servitude of God uh but uh when people look at business as something completely separate just like the governments look at the uh uh you know the uh the the state and the religion as two different things uh unfortunately some people look at it the same way they think that business is is separate from religion and quite frankly it's the exact opposite uh the shabat says that the when a person uh dies and leaves this world in their goes up to sh uh to face the judgment to face the bed uh over there the their asked questions they're shown their lives uh every single thing they've ever thought every single thing they've ever said every single thing they've ever done is shown to them uh in a film with 4K or 50k resolution in such a fashion where they're actually experiencing the whole thing all over again but obviously very very different pace as far as time because the concept of time is very different over there needless to say during this time a person is shown everything they've done everything they've taught Every Lie every truth everything and they're asked questions and the says the first question that a person is asked when they go up to heaven is not whether you uh you know gave a lot OFA or whether you observe Shabbat or whether you uh you know were loyal to your wife or whether you loved God no the main thing that a person needs to understand is that the first question they're going to be asked in sh first one is did you conduct your business dealings with did you conduct your business dealings with faith in God what does it mean did you conduct business with faith in go uh with faith in God I mean did you does that mean did you have faith that God will help you to a certain extent but not really uh does that mean that uh did you think about God and and pretty much hope that every business deal works out uh to a certain extent but not really the truth is that when it comes to that particular question it's an all-encompassing question it's a mindset question is how did you conduct your business was God the top priority in your decision making process when you were conducting business when you were an employee did you use your boss's money that he was paying you in order to create a new business for yourself because if you did you actually are inherited a curse from a toat called ar ar means cursed cursed is a person that does business in a uh uh um in an unethical manner this is considered unethical Behavior yeah but how will I ever be able to start a business uh you know while working for somebody else well you need to do it at a different time of your life you can't do it with your boss's money or boss's time needless to say many people do just that you look at the business that a person does and you say wait when you overcharged our client did you have God in mind did you think that God was giving you this this uh naive person to take advantage of uh you thought that was a gift or you just thought that God didn't care or he just didn't pay attention he was busy with somebody else what did you actually think when you were stealing from that guy when you were charging him obnoxious in interest on the loan you just gave him that's simply predatory that he's simply going to be uh in debt to you for the rest of his life unless he wins the lot of 15 times what did you exactly think when you conducted that business transaction what did you think whe about God when you conducted that business transaction where you sold somebody one thing that he thought it was and you said it was or at least implied that it was but in reality knew it quite it wasn't what were you thinking were you thinking that maybe God was busy somewhere else and just simply didn't know that this was happening didn't check didn't care you're not gonna uh uh uh you're not going to get punished for it what did you think and that's the thing when a person thinks about God as much as they're supposed to the way that they conduct business transforms drastically because their decision-making process is not priority number one prophets priority number two prophets priority number three prophets and whoever has to uh uh be stepped on and destroyed in the process of get getting to Priority 1 2 and three uh so be it because business is business it transforms from that to what does God think about this job this career this client this transaction this product this everything what does God think about it is it allowed not allowed is it ethical unethical is it allowed but not recommended or is it simply forbidden altogether what does God think about all of this oh I don't know so should I still do it until I find out uh and find out later and then fix whatever or should I simply not do it and give up the potential profits uh until I find out whether I'm even allowed to do it these types of thoughts are part of the transformation of somebody that has inem when they're conducting business so one of the places that we learn uh uh about the uh the whole transformative mindset uh when it comes to business is actually our weekly mik now mik is a very interesting par of course the par has an extraordinary story of what happens to YF after being in prison in a dungeon in a hole in the ground full of Filth and disgusting people uh and he is literally surrounded by all types of criminals and does have does does not have a single clue of when he's going to leave he's been there for 12 years but one day the Torah tells us at the beginning of the par has a dream and that dream is a very very complex dream he asks his necromancers his wise men all stuff so obviously the Torah has a extra word here if you will something that seems unnecessary why does God decide to put that they hurried him out of this bull out of this hole I mean he's been there for 12 years what's the difference if he walks or he runs why do I even need to know whether they walked or they run what is the what is the difference here between them now of course after this we see that YF is gifted with prophecy and is able to interpret the dream of Po after that and everyone else there sees that there is no person out there in the world that is as wise as YF and he powerful and successful civilization on Earth at the time the Egyptians so literally this is much more than just simply winning the lotto because winning the lotto May increase your bank account but a bunch of people may still hate you a bunch of people may still care less about you and quite frankly a bunch of people may simply not even know who you that you exist here he becomes the most starving they're hungry what's the problem later on the brothers show up the brothers show up and everyone knows the story of how YF tests them he tests them to [Music] see have they done chuva do they feel bad for selling him would they do it again to their other brother Benyamin and he test them and in the process there's a money there's business dealings here where he puts the money that they paid for the food back in their bags and after they come back they see it and they said what did God do to us I mean these are the 12 tribes these are the most righteous people on planet Earth what do you mean what did God do to you what kind of question is this I mean obviously you got a bunch of money you should say I don't know someone gets goes buys $100,000 worth of merchandise gives the guy the money gets the merchandise gets back to his Factory gets back to his City gets back to his country opens up the trailer sees that not only does he have the merchandise but he has all of the money that he paid your average person does not say what did God do to me in a negative way but rather the opposite ah oh thank God that it look at this God gave me a gift wonderful amazing look not only did I get the product but I also got the money hopefully this guy doesn't realize that I got both hopefully he forgets and he's counting the minutes and counting the hours to make sure that the phone never rings again he may even change his phone number just to make sure that if this guy calls he doesn't reach him because why would you want to lose out on all this money that you just got so the average person today would look at it in a very favorable way the 12 tribes a horrendous way and in fact they're rebuked for for it but not for the reason that we think then we see that when they're sent back to Egypt yov ainu yov ainu shows small taste of his business acument and he tells them not only do you need to bring back the money that the extra money that you found to show Integrity but also take double portion of money in your hand in case the price of the food has doubled now this may not seem like a big deal to the average person that's reading it but the reality is that the Hashem decided that this is necessary for us to know not only the knowledge that Yu had about how markets Chang change in such a rapid way but more importantly than anything else to show that this too can happen and has happened in the world and a person always has to be prepared for it and not always try to fight against the wall sometimes when push comes to shove you have to already be prepared ahead of time to pay more for what you want so yobu shows his business Acumen shows his understanding of the the Commerce in the world and from here going to start working backwards work backwards to try to have a good understanding of how this all can affect our lives and in fact how this all can affect our eternities now Yakov ainu tells his sons take a double portion in your hand in case the price of of grain has doubled in case it Rose and the money that that was returned in the uh opening of your baggage return it in your hand perhaps it was left there due to an oversight by the person in charge right away yov tells his sons that we do not take advantage of other people's mistakes the opposite of the mentality of people today in fact one of the main things that people look for today and even make a business out of is mistakes that other people make there are certain people that look for mistakes that people make in selling their product where there is some type of bug or simply a clerical error where they list a product that's worth let's say $1,000 but they forgot a couple of zeros or they simply put the dot in the wrong place and a product is sold for $10 in uh dumb markets like a like America the companies many times actually honor the price this is not a really a good idea but nonetheless this is something that people do uh in other countries this is usually not practiced simply they say we made a mistake we're not selling you a $1,000 product for $10 uh simply we're not going to lose money but of course the consumers all of a sudden develop an interest in this product they don't actually need just because of the price they figured they get resell it and there are many people out there that look for these types of flaws in the system are you allowed to take advantage of these these systems are you allowed to do all of these things well as far as the if a uh Jew makes a mistake you have to tell him if a gentile makes a mistake but it's not due to your uh uh misleading him misinforming him you didn't do anything he simply made a mistake you are allowed to take advantage of that mistake but if you want to sanctify God's name you should tell him that he's making a mistake and actually help him out because that certainly will create a lot more merits for you and a lot more profits for you in the long run than simply benefiting out of some poor guy's mistake here Yakov is teaching us business ethics 101 don't look for other people's flaws other people's mistakes why in the end God will give you what is yours you don't need to cut corners and you don't need to look for Corners that have been cut if a person has has confidence in God in God they're not going to necessarily look for these freebies everywhere you just have to look at things as based on this is what I need this is how you know I need to get it this way you don't need to cut Corners you don't need to cheat people you don't need to steal somebody else's customers and Target them you could simply do what you do be as good as possible as far as your particular service is concerned and of course always understand that it is God that decides what you're going to get not necessarily your uh your ability to find flaws in other people's systems now whether it's allowed or not allowed is not necessarily always an indication of whether you should do it or should not do it so a person is a learns this from yov where Yu says yes you got all each one of you got this extra $100,000 in your pockets right right now and with the billions of dollars that are going through the Egyptian system right now from all over the world because the whole world is buying food from them certainly they're not going to recognize that uh they uh gave you this uh money and of course even if they did recognize from the past so much time has passed since you've been there uh uh since you've been there they probably have already forgotten but despite that go there and have double the amount of money for the purchase in your bag but the money that they made a mistake that was an potential oversight that hold in your hand meaning right away tell them about the mistake don't have their uh them influence you of whether you're going to do the right thing or not see here yobu shows that the ethics that a person has is something that is not only a good thing to have but is also something that is necessary to have if one wants to have confidence in God because so long as a person believes that they need to cheat they need to lie they need to beat the system they need to sell some type of off product and pretend that it's on they need to be in some odd industry that is legal but in reality should be illegal they are in a business that is unethical but most people don't realize it because most the people that they know are simply victims of their unethical business such as the cash advance business such as all of these money lending businesses that are uh just destroying people with their High interest unlike traditional banks that are charging four five 6 7 8% normal rates these thieves from the M from the cash advance business whether they're Jews or not are literally destroying people's lives and eventually are going to destroy the economy just like they have in previous generations before the Holocaust and other times and we've spoken about this many times anyone that knows somebody in that business do everything you possibly can to get them to watch the lectures that we've done about the cash advanced business and if you are in that business if you hope to have a remote chance of going to heaven you have to leave the business immediately why because you're simply murdering people as far as financials are concerned you're an unethical business eventually the most of the people in the industry will end up going into jail but that's a different story needless to say there are many other businesses like it not necessarily any lending business but just simply unethical businesses if a person wants to have any real any type of confidence in God that means that they have to have a real relationship with God a relationship that's based on truth because that's the signature of God Emit and if a person is lying to themselves thinking oh yeah I love God cuz I give stock I charity I love God because I pray I love God because I observe Shabbat I love God because I do all these wonderful things but you're a cheater in business that means that the first question that you will be asked in in heaven after you die you've already failed a test you've already failed the test you failed already on on the first question meaning no one's going to care about all the other things that you've done because you've already failed on question number one that you're going to get in sham so a person that wants to develop a real relationship with God has to understand that ethics is a must in business ethics is a must in business so if a person has real confidence in God ethics comes natural if we back up and we see that the brothers got this this money and instead of being happy about it like the vast majority of society would be today and any other day throughout history if they're not glued to God if they're not glued to the tah they're happy they just got a they just found a bunch of money they did what they were supposed to they paid the other guy made a mistake but instead of being happy about it they're miserable about it in fact it creates a major fear in them the Torah says they were afraid after they found this afraid we could understand because perhaps they think that maybe this was a mistake but the visoy that was tough on them is not going to believe them as a mistake maybe he's going to blame them for some type of conspiracy some type of theft that you could explain in that way but the question is why did they ask what is this that God did to us rebukes the the tribes rebukes the brothers over this statement of course if it wasn't written we wouldn't be allowed to say it these were allim these were righteous people but at the moment of truth in this particular test there was so uh uh uh bent out of shape out of what just happened that they couldn't do the whole self accounting of what happened where they just didn't understand what is this that God did to us that we have all this money like why do we need this problem now we have to go back give him the money hope that he believes us what did God give give us this for and thear says brings a verse from SCH the stupidity of man will cause him to sin and then he will be upset at Hashem for punishing him meaning a person will make a sin purely out of his foolishness not realizing that or caring or acknowledging that God will have to punish him for that sin because this is the foundation of the Torah this is the foundation of the world there is a rewards and Punishment system where anyone that does not believe in the not only the rewards and punishment but even the details that the sages teach us and the Torah teach us about reward and punishment is considered an which the 9A says a person that is an aorus has no share of the world to come has no share of the world to come one way of being an aoos is not believing in reward and Punishment if you you believe that gome is a maximum sentence of only 12 months under all conditions you are an aicos stupid and an aose because obviously the whole thing of 12 months being a maximum sentence doesn't make any sense whatsoever that's why the ramban in his a uh um in his a shag nearly 750 years ago writes that anyone that says that the maximum sentence in Gom is 12 months and that's actually what it's that's what it means it's maximum 12 months no matter what you do is a heretic that will go to Gom forever just for that even forget about all the other sins that they've made just for that why because they've turned God into an evil God they've turned God into an illogical God they've turned God into something that doesn't make any sense how could it be that a person that murders one person will get the same sentence as a person that murders a thousand how could it be that a person that makes one sin is going to get 12 months in gay and a person that makes a thousand sins makes 12 months in gay how could it be that means that it doesn't make any sense to do Chua anymore because as soon as you make one sin you're going again them anyway so whether you make one or a th000 or 50,000 or 50 million you're going for one year anyway so what's the point might as well just keep sinning and you going say yeah no but maybe the sentence is longer for the guy that makes a thousand versus is the one that makes uh one or makes 10,000 how much longer a a year maximum a year maximum so the reality is that what's the point of doing chuva and even more so you have a situation where certain people are making bigger sins than others why would they get the same type of Gom and on and on and we've discussed this and we've elaborated on this but the point being is is that a person that does not believe in the reward and punishment is considered an AOS so here we see that the 12 the the tribes 10 out of them are questioning the system why did God do this to us not Shalom questioning God in a say of believing him or not believing him but saying well what's going on here why do we get this and says this is pure foolishness coming out of these righteous people why because they're so emotional about what's going on right now that they forgot the sin that they made of selling their brother YF their foolishness their mistaken decision to sell their brother even though they thought they were doing the right thing was obviously a mistake that they themselves already knew as a mistake but because they were so emotional about this whole transaction of what was happening they forgot about their wrongdoing and now they're upset at God for punishing them this is what happens many times in the business world where you see that God blesses a person with success after doing the right thing after doing the right thing in their business the right thing with their success in business but then one day it's lost and I say oh why did God do this to me I did so many good things did you did you really do good things well yeah I did a lot of wonderful things well did you do the same wonderful things that you did that gave you the blessing well it was good what's the difference well makes all the difference because what happens is many times and I've seen this with my own eyes where you see people for example they donate to our organization they try to help us with all the different things that we do and it wasn't once twice 10 times or 100 times where you see that God gives these people success different people in different ways but quite a few times I've seen people get extraordinary amount of success it was one story where there was a person that uh decided that uh they're going to take on giving a uh a portion of their income significant portion of their income their you know to to our organization of course everything is relatively speaking some people give $50 some people give 5,000 some people give more or less but the point being is that hasem cares about the percentage and the effort not necessarily the dollar amount because he's the one that decides what the dollar amount is but this particular person literally gave a significant portion of their income and as you would have it Hashem decided this person is going to have success unlike anything they've seen before and in fact unlike anything that most people see where in a matter of one year their business business went up like 500% where they went from making I don't know a few hundred, to making millions now of course this is wonderful they continued giving but again they decided that okay since I have more maybe I could also give to this place too and that place too and what ended up happening is that after they did that for a couple of years all of a sudden one day they wake up and several things go wrong in the business products merchandise and so on customers and literally what would seem like overnight the business goes down like 80 or 90% to almost what it was when they first started giving they saying I I don't know why is God doing this to me I gave so much did you did you and again I don't go into people's financials I don't uh it's not my business if somebody tells me something obviously I tried to help them but there was never a time where somebody would ask me these questions where the answer wasn't as clear as they that obviously this is their wrongdoing why you made certain donations to help do chv to publicize to with some A system that works a company that works an ethical business an ethical organization ethical people God gave you a blessing he quadrupled your business he increased your business tenfold you then took that extra money and instead of continuing to invest in the very same business that God wants you to invest in want you with to support and is the only reason why you got this blessing what did you do you started becoming some philanthroper started giving to that one and this one and that one and this one and God said oh I have a bunch of people to do that to give to all those others I have a bunch of people oh so if that's what you're going to do okay so let me just give that money to somebody else oh why did God do this to me because you didn't keep your end of the bargain oh how am I supposed to know well now you know and the problem is that when you tell this to people they don't believe you they think nah come on there must be something else no I think it's just the industry no I think it's just the customer you know they just got to a divorce and I think it's because of this and they try to rationalize things no no no you don't understand you succeeded because God decided to Su that you're going to succeed you failed because the very same God that gave you success decided you'll fail why you did something wrong he gave you money for a certain reason there was a uh uh agreement between you you didn't keep your bargain you didn't keep your bargain the stupidity of men will cause a person to sin and then they get upset at hm for punishing them person that does business sees that their business is doing well sees that they're succeeding be even more careful after success than you are when you first started there are many people that have made a Fortune of all types of stupid things in the last several years whether it be these uh Bitcoins and their uh the other uh cryptocurrency or it's YouTube and all of a sudden selling uh video games or they're simply making people watch them play video games whatever nonsense that people do God decides to bless it and what ends up happening is it's not enough for them them now that they have a following now that they have an audience they want to do something big they want to join the Forbes 500 but they it's not enough for them to continue growing in a reasonable fashion no they want to do something big so what do they do they get into some type of scam they start promoting some type of off product off thing some type of Ponzi scheme and many times they end up hurting a lot of people in the process as is happening right now many of of these people that have made a fortune on the internet and all types of social media so-called personalities are literally conning the very same people that gave them the money that made them successful of course spitting at Hashem in the face in the process but many of these people care less about Hashem they care about money and instead of being grateful to their audience being honest to Their audience being legit to Their audience what do they do they end up taking advantage of their naive audience and literally putting them into all types of Ponzi schemes all types of uh flawed Investments all types of different things why because they want to make a big score and unfortunately since much of this stuff is unregulated much of this stuff is uh unaudited much of this stuff goes under the radar and even if it's in the cover of the news no one cares enough in order to uh to do much about it this is going to continue until it becomes even more massive the fraud the amount of frauds that are out there today in cryptocurrencies and and things that are like it uh is literally uh unbelievable the amount of fraud that's available on the internet all types of fraudulent products and fraudulent services and fraudulent uh uh gurus and so on it's literally you have have to pray five times a day not three the uh normal sea of the world are you know careless they see something they see a insect and they have no problem killing it and again like I said if it bothers you if it's something that's dangerous if it's something disgusting to you there's no problem as far as killing it uh but if you can get rid of it in other ways and it doesn't bother you or burden you to do so then certainly preferable read psalms or uh or the five books of Moses during a certain period after Sundown until because this is a uh you know certain time of impurity and creates all types of issues but this is assuming that you will read some something else that's holy that is allowed but if it's either learn or the or nothing certainly you should go read it and learn it and and do that if it's either go play video games or retaing go uh you know chitchat on the phone uh or read the certainly read the uh but if you could if you want to elevate it even higher then it's this is a time to do other things so it also again it depends on what a person is replacing it with so if if if a person can learn Tor certainly it's better for them to learn T even if they can't pay full attention uh that's one now if they long as a person realizes that uh you know they have to serve hem to their fullest potential today and not wait for their retirement not even think that uh the retirement is uh something to consider when it comes to uh uh their uh you know their servitude of hashem's responsibilities of today uh you know but if a person wants to uh save for the future by all means it's uh it's not forbidden let's just say that uh the problem you know is is when people put too much effort into it where they literally put all of their uh resources into planning for retirement and that means that they end up donating less today they end up uh doing less today they end up let's say for example not moving to the uh Jewish Community because uh they uh want to save more money for retirement and moving to the Jewish Community today uh that's a better Community for themselves for their kids is going to affect their retirement this is the wrong way of thinking you have to serve hasm to the full po today as far as what hasem provides for you tomorrow your retirement is not necessarily going to be uh a factor in that if hasem gave you food today uh there's no reason for you to question of what what he's charging them you know 80 90 100% interest rates 50% interest rates I know somebody just told me now they they they borrowed some money uh out of an emergency and uh they uh they need to get some money together and I think it was like uh3 $335,000 uh after paying almost 30 or $40,000 like they borrowed 35 they've paid like almost $330,000 back okay over the last year and change and they still owe 45,000 now like this is like I don't know I mean it's it's it's it's it's it's ridiculous what people are doing today they're just killing people killing people uh so this is uh Mafia legal illegal the same thing so that's a corrupt business now as far as coaching and uh and uh these influencers on the internet and uh these types of things those are more prone to corruption and Scandals and scams because many times the people that are giving this so-call life coaching or this so-called uh uh business coaching or whatever it is they themselves don't know business they themselves don't know anything other than just simply to sell their product like they don't actually have real life experience or real business experience uh and many times they simply copied and pasted somebody else that they uh watched or or learned from that don't really have any practical experience and many times uh people that are going into the coaching business it's simply because they're just looking for somebody to pay them like a lawyer without being a lawyer they want somebody to pay them three four five6 $700 an hour just to talk to them and simply tell them whatever they want to tell them without any really consequences without any liability and uh you know people that are successful or desperate or a combination of both I willing to pay you you know a few hundred an hour just to talk to them even if the conversation is not going to be anything that's going to be uh as breakthrough as the commercial says it is but there's plenty of people doing it plenty of people doing it does that mean that it's it's it's it's uh forbidden no I mean I I think it's certainly uh taking advantage of the weakness in society uh but um you know I mean it's it's uh as far as it does get to corruption it does get to uh uh much worse levels with certain people people that uh usually the ones that succeed the most where they you know create that backdoor type of uh product that's for Unique victims an investment product private usually that's uh you know all types of you know things that uh they really take advantage of people uh if there's money involved there's corruption and and Scandal involved brokage firm business that are honest straight shooters that are good at what they do and there's many many many of them that are drug addicts degenerates losers thieves uh should be in jail for Life wiped out as if they don't exist that is standard level of chuva in essence it's let's say you can call lowlevel chuva but it's really there's no such thing as lowlevel Chua if it's either Chua or it's not but it's standard now if it's a high level of Chua which is a Chua that gets to a point where a person gets to not only fear hem but get even to a point where they're loving Hashem and they even are fearing him from his majesty and not just from the punishment so in essence they are uh acting in in their life with that in mind they're doing the mitv with that in mind they're doing the CH with that in mind and it's a process obviously it's not a one siiz it's all type of thing then that level of Chua would actually turn all of their uh unintentional sins into MIT meaning they don't disappear they actually turn into mitv so just imagine most of people's sins usually are unintentional all of those unintentional mitv become merits they go become they become to their credit so a person certainly is going to has more sins than he has mitv which means that his chat turns him into much more righteous than he could ever possibly be even if he just did mitv his whole life that's why the says that in a place that a stands even people that have been uh righteous their whole life do not stand why because this person just transformed all of his sins into MIT and this is not this is this surpasses the person that's been righteous their whole life because people make much more sins but now all those sins turn into mitv and then the unintentional the uh the intentional sins did they get a benefit out of it or is it no benefit to them if a sin brings them benefit some type of pleasure then it's believe it or not it actually uh helps them uh as far as the level of uh lessening the level of punishment than if the sin is not giving them any pleasure where there's no benefit for them to do it they're just simply doing it they're just simply sinning just because uh that's a very very serious problem if they do something like that uh so again this it's the the details of reward and Punishment are much much more difficult than than people could imagine but when we discuss it in the film and lectures uh we discuss it in a fashion where it's it's all the information that's you know uh uh necessary for people to know easy to understand but the details of the details either uh you know have to be studied obviously by people in order to know them but quite frankly I don't think that uh the average person out there um needs to study all the details of the details because they need to study of how to not sin more than they have to find uh study the details of what happens if they s this this one particular sin or that one or that one uh let's see can you please explain the power of theim uh can someone who does not read Hebrew proficiently recite theim in English or any other language and does it have the same power in heaven uh so as far as T TM language has uh significance when it comes to the the the uh the reading of the Torah uh it has a certain impact it's not like the oral toah where the main goal is to understand what you're say because you're learning a specific law or an event that took place or a combination thereof whereas theim or even the written T the tanak there is a significant value to the language itself and the sounds that are coming out of your mouth now it doesn't mean that someone that says tahim uh you know with with half an effort in Hebrew is better than someone that is saying it with complete passion don't don't have really a real concept of what a rabbi is and and what it means um and that's what it is it's fine so uh but as far as to listen to many rabbis I've seen people make major life decisions uh you know because they heard a lecture from a rabbi that they did that they did not consider their Rabbi despite the fact that their Rabbi told them not to do whatever it was and they still did it yeah but your Rabbi said no yeah but this other Rabbi is also smart yeah but you said he's your Rabbi the first one is your Rabbi or the second one is your Rabbi somebody your Rabbi partom line is you're you're going against your RAB you're listen to somebody else yeah but it's just done this one thing okay so you don't have a rabbi you're not a rabbi if people understood what
