episode welcome B but it's our great
honor and privilege to have you we're
very excited to hear from you about your
story and about your music so can you
take us back to your upbringing tell us
how your childhood was
like my childhood is pretty um I grew up
in state and square and uh my father
went through uh
my father wasn't beging B
with in the ghetto and he went out with
KAS train through
Switzerland and he found this re there
and he went to willburg and then he
found out about AAL he went to square
and he had 12 kids I'm the
11th and that's the pretty short version
uh so growing up in new Square were
there any times that you felt different
than other
children um maybe now looking back I
think maybe I always felt
different but uh now it all seems you
know just when you change your glasses
and you change the number you see things
differently now I see things from a
different Viewpoint than what I saw it
two three four five 10 years ago so I
see things in a different light so how
did you see it back then how do you see
it as a child what what what was your
journey what was your journey like
because everyone has a everyone has a
journey and your Journey gave so many
people so can we hear more about your
journey as a child and how it
evolved maybe I wasn't a typical child
and also I had a also an like not such
an easy Journey it was big uh was a big
class and I went through certain things
as a child but now I feel like I'm pass
it it's not like I'm dwelling and going
over the
details and um it wasn't easy upbringing
and it wasn't probably easy for my my
father also and my mother and it wasn't
also
easy for them because I probably didn't
speak up my feelings and things that
bother me I rather probably pushed it
all down and these things go with you
for the rest of your life so until not
for the rest of your life should say
maybe it shapes your rest of your life
but there's a way to channel it and if
you go inside there's a way to to work
all all all the stuff all the old stuff
to work it through and to realize From a
Different Light how everything is meant
to enhance and to make you grow and I
feel that my story and I think
everybody's story but I'm already at the
point where I see that everything was
here to build me up
and and uh yeah it's it's been time
maybe maybe I could say you know you
miss that side of the boat because maybe
four years ago i' would be talking more
about details and and going in and now
I'm more like u a few feel that I'm I'm
more grounded and uh whatever what was
it shaped me I give Art snippers through
the art through the songs and um I let
everything go but
uh it's amazing for people to to know if
they can catch it earlier and to
understand that there is a way to take
everything and embrace the entire
package and uh instead of looking at
everything I've been through because we
can be stuck we can be stuck in the past
and we can be stuck worrying about the
future and really all we have is the
present moment and um I know kazal say
this and a psychology and meditation but
to really work it it's not easy because
the mind wants to go back and the mind
wants to L to wonder about the past and
about the
future and to really remember that all
we have is this moment we have now and
everything is beautiful and I wish that
I have my father that with with his
flesh and bone next to me that I can
tell him I can also tell him maybe what
happened and also tell him how I am now
and and how beautiful everything is but
he's not here in flesh and blood but his
n is here and I truly believe that it's
a continuation we're here for a tiny
little something you know like
experience like this and we go and I
think that we're all connected it's one
big picture beautiful I once I read
recently in the I think it was called
the par on fire it said that light's
wife turned into salt when she looked
back at sadine right the question is
why' she turn into salt what's so bad
what's so wrong with what looking back
she want to see your old town she want
to see your hometown why did she turn
into Soul so he writes that ra ra Victor
Miller says that if you want to grow you
can't look back and since she looked
back at her old ways she was
punished I like the story because it's
so
true it's so true when we look back and
um that makes us dwell on the past
it doesn't do us any benefit for today I
think people could relate to your story
because especially the B these days and
The Young and the adults and everyone so
could we could we just hear a little
more about your struggle and how you
dealt with it how do you dealt with the
stress topic is Jewish and joyful that's
the what the podcast is called so we try
to also tackle mental health aspects of
journeys of people so the thing with
this is
that it's it's it's a twofold question
because
if I say really how I dealt with that I
know now how I dealt with I'm not
necessarily sure that's the right way to
deal with it in other words and if I'm
just sugar coating it and coming in like
a mashia and what I think then I don't
know if I'm authentic so I think I can
go between the lines by saying that I
didn't know all this until maybe the
last two years after being doing a lot
of healing and growth since 2007 and
that's a pretty long time and to real to
realize that it took me only till two
years ago to realize everything that
happened and to put all the APLE
together and I'm not sure I dealt right
with it I guess the real answer for the
people who listen to your podcast if
they can learn something from it is to
hear a humble answer that I'm not sure I
dealt right with it and let's say it
even more with certain certainties I am
sure that I didn't deal I didn't deal
right with it meaning I didn't know
better I didn't also understand
many things how I operate where it comes
from I didn't understand certain
behaviors where they stem from so we all
have coping mechanisms how we deal with
things and we can start with the basics
if people go to a kiddish every week and
they just eat whatever comes to there
and they smoo and they just kgle that's
a coping
mechanism and even if you see most of
the community are doing it most of the
community has a coping mechanism
and I'm not even going to get into
drinking it's a coping mechanism what
what really is it what does alcohol
really do it's numbing you for two hours
and then make you feel um the worst so
really at best you can say people just
want to get
numb people want to get numb and people
want to get numb because there are
certain things that they are unaware of
in their psyche
inside which creates certain pain and uh
they call it today in the in in in the
world of psychology and science the
non-conscious brain so there's the
conscious and the unconscious and
there's the nonconscious where with all
the pain like almost when you go to the
boiling room in the basement and all the
dusty stuff and if you take something
out you really have to wipe it
off there is a subconscious that's yeah
but but there's even deeper there's a
place where there's only the negativity
like there there a [ __ ] like this there
there's a book from son Dr sonus that
was in myu and then he went out and and
that we have some some people that get
to midlife and they get back pain and
they go to the doctors and they can be
diagnosed they get a needle they say
this that and really it's hidden hidden
hidden pain and when we think about it
too much there's a mechanism in our
brain that takes away
oxygen from a certain place let's say
from from your from your hand from your
back so you should have back pain why so
you don't think about the other things
that bothered you so
much so we have and then in a world of
anxiety in a world where we also have
legitimate disease people are afraid and
then people get more anxious but so
people don't really get to the core of
the issue all what I started I said
about the kides and about the drinking
and about the doctor and about
everything comes together in one
answer is that the idea is we have to
look inside
ourselves to deal with a core issue the
underlying issue there's there are
issues every day that we think we have
oh I don't know this bothers me because
I I said like this she said like this
and my rabby told me this and this is
and really that's just a
trigger that pulls something out from
inside so let's say somebody gets
triggered by a certain thing really it's
something to do with childhood
everything goes back to Childhood and to
prove it on the most basic level so we
shouldn't sound too too too
psychological is why do you speak
English and I speak yish and why does
somebody in Israel speak Hebrew and why
does somebody in China speak Chinese no
one taught you how to speak English no
one taught me how to speak yish but just
by being surrounded with people who
spoke the language we picked up the
language so what makes you think that we
didn't pick up on many many many other
things so when someone was 3 years old
people tell me what how How Could You
Forget certain things you've been
through and now just comes
up I asked them do you remember what you
were eating Su when you were three years
old do you remember your that was a big
thing many people don't do you remember
what you were wearing on do you remember
when you went to first day to there's so
many things people say wow I don't
remember but it's hidden in your psyche
that means the deep inside
there could be so many things hidden and
a lot of triggers that it trigger
something in the mind and then people
have certain behaviors that they cope
against it and the mind is designed so
you can function every day so it doesn't
tell you all these things right so
coming back to your question to round
sum it up what I tell the people who
listen I can't really tell you that how
I dealt with it it's a good advice and
it doesn't matter even the details
whatever my coping mechanisms were it's
just I didn't until a few years ago
really go inside me very deep to be with
myself like I couldn't I couldn't sit
with myself at home doing nothing being
more like an introvert you know just
being by myself and today I can I can
close my phone for 10 minutes doing
nothing I'm not doing it too often
because I'm Tak busy and now you can
challenge Me Maybe the business also
comes from coping and I'll tell you
you're right it may be and it it the
automatic behaviors could be stronger
than it baby steps like someone says I
don't want to eat cake and the next day
oh I ate again because the automatic
behaviors but I could I I do breath work
I meditate I
journal and sometimes now before I'm
coming out with the new CD I'm getting
more busy it's not so easy to do my
regular routine schedule but then I go
back to schedule and to do certain
things for your health I tell my kids I
tell my son all the time when you come
and there's already a problem
like a karate teacher will tell you you
can't learn how to fight on the
battlefield it takes a long time to
learn so the all these things is like
learning every day how to deal with the
the problem when it arises and then
slowly you go inside and you realize
okay you don't have to remember the
stories what happened just recognize
that inside you there is a little child
and the little child is kicking and
waiting to be recognized by the adult
and that's a
fact wow it's beautiful how did your
yish Kai evolve from since you were a
child to when you were a young adult and
to now so it was
fluctuating because because I I I met
you know in the in the they say there
something you know we learned about we
learned in to about the me Mas you know
you see they went from here they went
there they went there that every person
really has a lot of Inus in life right
some people it's easier some people see
it more so I did have a lot of U Nas in
my life and um yours is more public also
you're saying exactly I just I just told
a friend of mine that I'm giving out
this album and he said to me it's
probably healing for you and I said yes
it is
because this album is like a closure for
me it's a lot because everything is
public leap is doing this he said this
he didn't say this and the judgment is
especially is where we come from
unbeetable right and um it's not that
we're bad people it's just designed that
we
are expecting from us much more and that
everybody thinks they know it right and
even from a Judaism perspective
everybody thinks that they have a down
path so if somebody does a little bit
different automatically the other people
will will judge because no that's not
the right way so we're kind of
intertwined in judging we're like we
have it integrated in in our upbringing
it's almost like we have to judge even
if it says don't judge it's almost like
don't judge but they're not like us so
so that's something hopefully with time
people are getting healthier becoming
more fixed that when I moved from one
place to the
other it was very public and it was also
me trying to fit in and to find the
identity um where I belong okay if I'm
not in the St so where do I go okay I'm
becoming like this or like that and it
took me time to realize that I'm just a
beautiful human being just the way I am
for today for this
moment so how do you deal with your
stress and what was some of the feedback
you got from your community back in new
Square so back in the days it's h it's
important to note that it wasn't
just like okay me and the state and new
it's about the the society as a whole
changed a lot since then until now at
that time was different I mean when I
made my music video guilt I was the
first Jewish music video really yeah
yeah I mean maybe there was some for
some camp in sha I don't know and and a
local one but I'm saying to to go on a
big Stadium by has and have a music
video before
YouTube was not a usual thing was not
the usual thing so it was different so
they were they were kind
of you know probably frightened you know
I was I was becoming this so-called
celebrity and um and I came out at the
same time as technology came out and it
was all big mishmash and the people from
the old generation did not know how to
eat like this new idea of technology and
and how to accept it and I think I was
of the same technology boom I came out
at the same time and music changed and
everything changed so it was kind of
difficult and with the mindset I have
today I would probably deal with it
probably would have dealt with it way
differently either I would have moved
moved
away um but AEM had a different plan and
it had to be exactly the way it was
everything every every little detail
that brought me to the step I am today
beautiful I I I read a quote earlier
that don't just go through it once
you're going through it you should grow
through it exactly and that's the
beginning of the conversation we had
about that I see now I wouldn't change a
tiny bit of the story and you ended up
going to Colombia and how did what
happened after
that so in Columbia I was going to do a
therapy degree to become a
therapist and then I changed it in the
middle to Arts Visual Arts we you always
into art or you decided once in Columbia
to pursue yeah just did I used to Doodle
that's it and um and I I see my old I
see Doodles but I was never doing
paintings and stuff
and and uh now I'm in
uh I love I love art very much I'm so
I'm so integrated in it like every day
it's my if I don't pain into something I
feel something is missing and again
maybe that's part of my
okay we're always going to be human but
it depends what it is like if I can
recognize okay so part of my coping
mechanisms in this world I like art okay
is that bad but if I would say I like uh
smoking okay think okay maybe it does
not good for my lungs so it all depends
but as long we recognize what our
humanistic character traits that we have
and we're not trying to fool ourselves
and we're not trying for example the old
way of saying would be no I'll explain
why and my tone will be become loud and
explain you why art is important because
really I'm giving messages blah blah BL
blah blah blah blah or that just to go
inside and be honest with myself and
with others I like to do art and maybe
one day I'll sell it's okay to want to
sell it's okay to want to show my art
it's okay to be just as human as
everybody else as long we know so um
after after school I became very popular
again in the in the community with
singing they accepted it right away they
weren't what what was the community's
reaction and how did they accept you
back no so it was basically a few people
who who invited me like invited me and
they helped me probably behind the
scenes
also and um so so yeah I got very busy
again and I had to give up that like I
gave up a lot of other stuff I was going
to go to school further to further my
degree it's funny because I keep on
talking about the coping and running
away I had a professor asking me I was
going to go to a higher degree and he
asked me you want to you want to run
away for two more years
he asked me then he said you want to run
away for two more
years so it's really it so so there's a
limit as somebody told me once he took a
balloon and he put water inside and he
said look this is a balloon the degree
is the water there is something to have
a nice degree but it's the water and
it's a whole balloon you got this and
you pay for it I'm still paying students
lo you know I'm okay with
it but it's all about balance it's all
about balance everything the same thing
with everything I think the same thing
even with Judaism same thing with food
same thing with working on your same
thing with healing if only healing
healing healing all day then it's just
another Obsession but if it's a little
bit a little bit this a little bit that
it's so beautiful you know before we get
to some of my favorite parts of this's
episode I want to talk to you about
kabad kabad is helping the needy people

what advice would you give to someone
who feels like they don't fit in someone
who's struggling right
now tell them that uh leapa said that
most of the people he knows also don't
fit
in many of them don't yet know
it other people realize yeah yeah so
before we get to music I have some good
questions I thought about I'm really
curious to know I just want to know um
look looking back at your journey is
there anything that you'll do
differently it's interesting because
from a story perspective I could say yes
maybe certain things but from a from a
higher perspective I would say
everything had to happen the way it
happened without those things that
happened you wouldn't be the manual
wouldn't be here
now okay I have a question
okay I've seen videos of you
m i was a or something where you get the
energy from your m is on the flooor
you're jumping up and down you're like
like
uh only most people only kids have that
energy where do you get that energy from
how does it come where does it come from
it takes a
long it takes like I said earlier about
the karate teacher it's like U running
running exercise the these things are
Health it's it's very important what we
eat like lately I come to I don't eat
after so you know like people eat the
main course B you're not going to see me
eat by a main course it could happen but
normally I eat spoon when I stop why
because if I eat with the main course
food makes the immune system work harder
then I go on stage and I'm all like oh I
just ate the main course if I don't eat
I want to give all my to the to the
client to the so I eat something with a
I have time is easy meaning that the
singing is still there but it's not like
I have to jump right until till I get
the jump It's 3 hours two and a half
hours later and then I don't eat so it
all we all want the results so that's
that's it's not my but I'm going to
repeat
it the mind the job of the brain is to
make us feel good all the time so we go
through life we feel good that's why we
have the dope you mean oh okay and
everything even in judism oh they made
to see him it's all about feeling good
so I have this Marshal that if you ask
most people if they want to if it's a
friend of yours but I'm saying for most
people you can try if they want to start
exercising with you maybe there's going
to be a program two weeks from now and
we can sign up I think many many people
would answer yeah like if it fits my
schedule yes I want to I want to do it
but when it comes the day off o I don't
know if I can do it was they want to
feel good two weeks before it feels very
good sure I'm going to excise I'm going
to lose weight it's going to be amazing
the day off the mind says Ah are you
going to work now I feel clumsy it's
going to hurt you yeah and it plays with
us the second we can we shop that trick
and we realize that it just wants to
make us feel good but really I'm going
to feel way better after the exercise
because no one yet regretted after
exercise the Mind comes in strong oh you
are right of course I feel good yeah so
so the over the dancing it all takes
work it takes work it takes dedication
takes food habit it takes exercise it
takes work uh so we all have days some
days could be very unfortunately we
could feel sad it could feel down about
something and sometimes you can feel
very happy very excited so if you're
feeling down let's not talk about a
musical perspective let's not talk about
a concert we talk about that after but
on a personal level what's one way to
boost yourself if your mom is like
really really feeling upset about
something or if you're just down let's
say woke up on the wrong side of the bed
and you have to go out there you have to
go to work you have to go to school you
have to go to yiva just go out in the
street and you just feel so sad you
don't want to talk to people you don't
want to see yourself so what do you
suggest how do you get out of that state
so first of all it happens many many
times
and
and I have a toolbox you know I call it
like a a toolbox that people don't have
to see but in your mind you have a
toolbox and you practice what you need
to do in certain
times sometimes the weather can do it
sometimes something you ate sometimes
not sleeping enough some it could be a
million
reasons and the toolbox is very
important I can give you a few of my
toolbox it's not my K but I use it
please someone use less than others like
journaling if someone takes a paper and
just when they when they when they feel
really bad and they just make a timer
for 15 20 minutes and they just going to
write if they don't know what to write
they say I don't know what to write I
don't know what to write I'm feeling so
I'm so upset because of this and I don't
care but that and it doesn't have to be
nice and not to even erase a sentence
it's just letting it come out of the
heart just pouring out and then even you
can throw away the paper then there's
like you can take you can you can put on
a song and say for the length of the
song I'm going to take very deep breaths
so I I sometimes breathe just to a song
I Can't the the Beats like let's say
four I hold it for four and I and I let
it out for
eight this puts you at ease people will
fall asleep there's all types of
different breath techniques but was that
box breathing so there's box breathing
so box breathing I think is counting the
same four four four four when you count
box yeah when you count longer on the
way out it regulates it brings the neor
system down there's other there's a lot
of techniques there's techniques about
changing nostrils like
going very slow and then and then out
from the other one and in there's a
whole but not to make it too complicated
for listeners even simple breathing make
a count for 10 10 minutes if you really
want to feel better 10 minutes No
Interruption take a count five in hold
it for five let it out for 10 it's too
long for you go four and do this for
like 10 minutes you probably fall
asleep and any type of breath work
journaling even going for a walk between
trees Nature Nature has a great power
just going for a regular walk not with
the
phone it's another copy mechanism I
close my phone for hours
that I could whatever bashem I I tell
you I do it's not to and and when I
don't do it I say I don't do it but it's
very important and I wasn't always like
this like nothing near to where I am
today like I couldn't stop looking at my
phone and today I barely have time to
check what I need to
check beautiful so let's say you're
singing at a concert and you don't feel
in the zone you don't feel in the mood
you have to you have to put on you have
to put in all your energy so what do you
do over there happened to me so I tell
myself a story on stage like I can I can
talk to myself and say look you got this
you did many many times you can do it
again you're now on stage this is J
that's the thing could it get boring for
you since you did it so many times could
it get boring it doesn't get boring it
could get sometimes you think it gets
easier sometimes it could get difficult
because so many new singers so many new
songs learning everything being always
up
with again maybe that's a challenge
maybe maybe you say you don't need to be
anybody else you just be
yourself again that's always the battle
like you open up a bakery somewhere
there's a lot of competition and you say
okay but I'm just going to do what I do
best okay but you also want to sell
right so it's always the battle but I
think for my for me what works is to
always be authentic and when I'm on
stage I do what I can do and
uh I leave the rest beautiful I want

the most stressful time of your career
of my career when I've been when I've
been through a lot of uh backlash right
so how do you deal with that backlash we
discussed before I mean at that time it
was difficult I didn't know how to deal
with it I had no training I had no
toolbox I had no Jour Ling I had no
breath work I I know nothing of it it
was just me being surrounded by all
types of people who also didn't know I
think that's like a song to make and
about being about being helpless and
hopeless and helpless and hopeless and
being surrounded by people who are
helpless and that's a good song to make
could we work on it right now could we
try
to Y hopeless and helpless all I'm going
to record it let's see how it's gonna go
let's see hopeless and helpless and all
let's see let's see I
think there was a time I was hopeless
and
helpless or so I
told I was
surrounded by hopeless and helpless
people so they
told until came
time that I
realize that there's hope hope hope that
there is hope hope hope that there is
hope hope hope that there is hope hope
hope and once I change my story I
surrounded myself
with
new people of
Hope and once I changed my story I found
myself with
no people of Hope
[Music]
la
la beautiful wow wow wow guys you he it
you heard it here
first may come out in five I have so
many things is is it too late to add a
song on the album we be talking about I
just I just cut off a song Oh I had it
wet with a friend of mine I had to and
that also comes from personal growth
because the codependency if you never he
that word is my friend came and he sang
it and now I have to put it out but it's
not a g it's it's right for the
album and want to do more English songs
so I have this new idea which is not yet
published but the time you give this out
it's going to be
published is that uh I'm going to make
this album for the first time I've been
wanting to do this for a long time and
now I'm really pushing it I'm making my
the first is the authentic my momu it
has the Kish half of it is regular
thrill songs and half
ofish and right after a week later or so
I'm coming out with English really so
it's mixing English English and Yiddish
so people can can really understand what
I have and a week later come out with
yish
really three separate how's it going to
work it's gonna be three separate
Collections and the songs are all going
to be the same but certain songs will
have explanations with the end in
English what it means so when's the
first one coming
up from this THS day
week okay
be
calleda Ela Lia yeaha like the
name you're your first your name is
Alazar leipa
yeah mhm I just actually saw you sent
out the cover was that a picture of you
a picture of your son yeah yeah picture
of you yeah me that's a picture of me
holding who you exactly that's your
whole life story wow it's very deep wow
this little kid
built up a whole career wow it's
beautiful yeah from now from then till
now was Mish
incredible yeah beautiful and after the
TU bishvat when's the English the
English one coming
out hopefully a week later week later a
lot of people like me personally I don't
know that much jish and and uh you
should spread the word that Lea now is
thinking about like you amazing so all
we're we'll spread the word yeah and the
reason why I'm putting it in English and
not in English is because it's more
authentic to where I am where I come
from instead of trying to be someone
else and trying that my English is going
to be who knows what perfect and I think
that's more authentic to show my I have
the real album and then this translated
into English beautiful looking very very
forward
B
yeah is that is that you SP most of your
you spend most of your day doing
music I spend most of my day so a month
and a half ago I made a schedule that
I'm trying also to paint and do a lot of
stuff besides my meditation and now the
album I realized this is like the number
one I have to finish it so I took a
month off of everything and now I'm
going
to to do
uh after I finish the album to go back
to a schedule so it's not it's also my
art my music my drawing everything
together beautiful do you have any art
with you or sure but uh it's um it's
downstairs you would have to change so
maybe let me think maybe you could maybe
you could send me a video should later
tonight send me a video I will we'll
include it right over here in inid the
episode yes and I'm also going to talk
because it ties into everything when our
brain becomes more clean when our mind
becomes more clean our life becomes more
clean our room becomes more clean when
we declutter
we become decluttered and now I'll show
you how I decluttered my art
studio so for Jewish and joyful I'm
going to try to give a little tour of
this Art Studio we spoke about it said
I'll give a little tour and I'll give a
few insights that you can Implement in
your own life learning from my mistakes
and things that are working to be
stronger and better at so first of all
thank you for Jewish and joyful for your
finger anyway so the point is that uh
one of the things my Studio it was it
was like a mess and now there's still a
bunch of bunch of stuff all over the
place I can't say that I know everything
with it is but slowly but surely I'm
trying to designate places to know okay
here are the tools where are the
scissors organization is key and part of
the process of getting more organized is
just throwing out whatever you don't
need it's not myish there are many uh
gurus on cleaning but one thing I could
tell you is that the more my studio is
organized the more my mind is organized
and vice versa when my mind is organized
my studio becomes organized and it will
take it will take a while we'll get
there but I'll give you one insight
about I do
many Avenues in art out of many I want
to also condense this because sometimes
we're all over the place then we don't
get to where we want to get it's a it's
a process to Zone in and and I'm a work
in progress like everybody
else one thing um all my art has in
common is I do it in layers so for
example when you hear music there are
many many layers from the mixing the the
I mean the mixing is the last process
but it starts from like the Rhythm the
drum the guitar the bass today's days is
more digital but I do a lot of
background vocals it starts with four
takes one above the other then know how
many four takes sometimes six sometimes
eight some have many many many tracks so
a painting my me or any art I do has a
lot of a lot of layers layers and layers
and even if the viewer do does not see
exactly what's behind every layer but it
comes out it comes out like for example
this if you look here you can see like a
tiny line like this line for example
this line you see here it's covered but
you can see something you see here it's
looks like dark but you can see under
underlining things and this gives
texture you can see things sticking out
from here maybe this going to be covered
entirely but this is how I work with
layers layers and layers and layers and
just to show one little thing I'll I'll
do one layer
now and um I'm a Leti at one second I
got to change the phone I'm doing a
selfie
here um I'll finish this later just uh
just just to go a little bit this is not
like painting this is just covering it
and in
glazers and putting layers and on this
layer I'm going to put much more stuff
once this
dries but
uh it's more about the process by me
taking it step by step by step by step
by step doing a layer after layer after
layer and then a beautiful painting um
comes out of it and one of the paintings
that I like one of the techniques I like
to do is to let my music guide me guide
my hands and there certain uh paintings
actually I'll publish where I use my
whole back and my whole body and I dance
and I go crazy on the on the
canvas and then I hang it up and I take
out characters from it and I take out
whatever I see from different worlds and
different planets whatever the painting
shows me and I let the characters dance
together with me while painting it so it
maybe sounds very uh
poetic the way I said it but one day
I'll demonstrate it in videos but that
takes somebody else to hold the camera
and it takes a whole hours of me getting
into this
home more soon see this little
leaper it's on my
desk well
yes
nice is that kid he
decided he's going to show
everybody and now I tell him it's okay
you don't need to show we're good
wow you can go like this that's it
inside so if you could talk to your
little stuff right now if you had a time
machine you could go back to little I do
it I don't need a time machine I sit
down with this kid do it right now you
tell the last few months was the first
time in my life that I finally got to a
place where I sat down to sink for him
wow and I'm sure it took a lot of uh
time work to do feel like Edy what is
this right
it shows that you you're comfortable
with yourself now that's a big reason
people when they're all alone with
themselves without a phone without
anything they're some people could be
afraid to talk to be alone with
themselves they don't know who they are
and the society we grew up on and even
part of the
Judaism it works very well with be able
to run away because you always have
where to run what to do and if you can
put in put in the the the the the toy
into it and say okay no I'm doing it for
the right reasons but we have to be
careful it could also be part of it
could be always running and to go inside
from that place to connect to Hashem to
yourself and through everything you do
beautiful so there's a whole like these
days especially like in back back in the
olden days was it such a thing as a
celebrity a
singer no I think I think in in my side
of the world that's what that's what
triggered that's a trick of the whole
thing yeah because I was kind of the
first one but it was it was really I
think the world was ready for it like
even in this album people will be
shocked by a new adventure of songs that
I sing about and I think that in four
years from now it almost be the norm it
will be hard for people to sing okay
just another
regular I mean people still sing byas
but I think people
will want to connect they would want to
open their hearts and they would want to
there a difference of I'm listening to
an album because I also have to be part
of the Haw okay I want to hear the song
or when you drive and you say you know
what I'm going back to this album of
leaper I want to really connect and go
into it yeah yeah yeah so I
think it's different it's
different what are the pros and cons of
being a Jewish
singer when you say Pros encounter being
a singer or a Jewish singer because in
terms of what do you want to compare you
want to comp compar why do we lose by
being only a Jewish singer Jewish singer
though you have the power to a fre told
me Al fre told me once that today's
singers are like rebers yeah with the
audience they have and the people
listening to them if you if you say
something it gives people they relate to
it yeah I keep on telling the story over
and over there was once a guy who was
the B and he said why do why do they
listen to singers why not the plumbers
TOS right they wanted to tell him that
really everybody wants to be listened to
and hasem just decides
who gets the
listeners so why we're singer
Z I don't know maybe there's a certain
authentic part in in in authentic
artists and I think that also people are
not stupid people listen to one more
than the other it's not necessarily
because somebody is an Entertainer I
think by me for example the singing is
now becoming only one of the colors in
my whole uh you know being I think that
authenticity I paid maybe a big price
but now I think I'm reaping the fruits
and seeing the n and I think that people
want not not you see not I think I know
I know that people want
authenticity people want people who are
honest people who bring the
truth people who say it as it is people
who make mistakes that's another song to
be made you know just to be
real well a lot of people don't know
themselves they have to get to know the
real you mhm and how do you get to that
so you get to that through exploring
yourself and getting closer to
Hashem so to get to
authenticity so I'll do I'll say the
opposite no we could say you get closer
to Hashem and you become more authentic
but you could say you become more
authentic become close to Hashem because
the real Hashem and I'll tell you what I
mean what I say about the real we don't
know what means yeah
but when it's a difference if you do
everything robotic because we have to or
if nobody is around it's just you and
AEM what do you do
then it's called religious robots yeah
so but then some listeners may get
scared oh if only people know what I
do but that in itself could also be just
based on fear that people put into you
maybe Hashem loves you the way you are
exactly and so
the coin has two sides being
authenticity more to Hashem your own
relationship than to other
people doesn't have to make you more
fear because Hashem it could also make
you more love
[Music]
Hashem created you you're beautiful and
you're a human and we have a beautiful
way that we follow to
be but it's not a robot it's not a
machine and hasem it's your relationship
with hem but if Hashem becomes the
people and oh if people would only know
what I do
ah then it's a big thing so that's where
it gets challenging so we have a very
superficial way of thinking the more we
really connect to the
essence we worry less what people are
going to say and we all we have only one
chance to live and it's mindboggling to
see how many people live through life
and then they get depressed and they get
older and they don't even know why and
their subconscious gets depressed
because they their whole life went
by or other people other people or they
wanted to the whole prize the eye on the
prize was like they'll get a certain
cover in in this place and one day
they're going to and what is that cover
and once they can change the story it
means nothing means nothing you can be
normal enjoy the world is beautiful for
you to have and and Hashem created it
just for you as the same as for Thea as
for the net as for everybody and and and
and that's something to realize the real
connection with hasem is beautiful it's
not
painful beautiful you know this the song
came out recently with Ura you know the
song hasem needs every year yes so the
message is so beautiful because
especially a kid he may say I'm I'm not
smart no one pays attention to me why
why does hasem need meem needs D you
hasem wants you it's true yeah I loved
your per video by the way With Ur m is
hilarious now we're chosen from the one
above if hasem chose us that means we're
here for a reason exactly and our goal
life we have to find what their reason
is we have to figure out what what for
but we can only do it if we find
ourselves right
there's a question we asked the guest
who is the happiest person that you
know the TRU
this it can only be yourself and I'll
tell you
why because you can never
know on any other person if they're
really happy or less happy or how really
happy they are and even if they tell you
and even if you think you know you don't
have the
nervous system and their mind so you
can't feel what it means so you can't
really answer uh em answer on this but
if it's on yourself and you're happy
then you can say I'm happy so you're
you're the third person to say that so
far beautiful yeah because you don't
know what's going on in someone else's
life a lot of times we think oh we have
troubles but my my friend doesn't my
neighbor
doesn't so how how do you uh we have to
try we have to realize that we have to
realize because he talked before about
not comparing yourself to
right so it starts
by retraining our minds and it takes
time but that the stories that we tell
ourselves are based on other people's
stories that they told us when we were
in childhood it all started over
there
and the if we can realize that all the
bad feelings we have is because we
compare
ourselves and we measure ourselves by a
recipe that was given to us if we can
change that
recipe
then then we change everything
because I know I'm good I'm just good
the way I am and if I need to work on
stuff which I'm a human being for and
that's what I'm here for I'm doing the
work I'm just comparing myself to a
certain story to what was told to me and
that breaks my heart if I can stop
comparing myself again and again how do
I change the story by journaling by
talking to yourself selft talk I have a
song of selft Talk D made a lot of selft
talk the was talking to himself a lot a
lot what you know what he's going
through and at the same time to Hashem
it's all one and connected and what does
music and art have to do with healing
and all plays a big Groll in it a big
part so so first of all music is healing
and art is healing and it could be a
channel for healing not for everybody
just like Jing is not for everybody but
I think in essence it's healing it's a
it's a language that touches even
animals you know music can music has a
crazy power playing music can relax even
animals you know saying um so I musical
relax animals I think so they have
studied you know let's Google it right
now music impact animals one
second let's ask Chad
G
second hello I'm here on an interview
and I'm telling them in the interview
that music has such a power that it can
even impact animals that I say something
correct is there research on it
yes there's research showing that music
can impact animals for example classical
music has been found to reduce stress in
dogs and cows so you were correct in
your interview thank you I'm going back
I'll talk to you
soon you're welcome good luck with the
interview talk to you soon fun you know
I have a friend who works with AI and he
says AI is the worst now that it's ever
going to be what it means to say is it's
going so quick that a year from now
compared to this
is just the worst who could imagine I
really wonder we have to be careful yeah
but it could it has an impact so music
is a great is a crazy language but in
this is a general answer to answer in in
person for
me the way my is is it seems to be
because that's what I'm doing I share my
story through my songs through my
interview so if I went through a lot of
healing I talk about healing and if part
of my work is through music and through
ART so it comes out in this way and
could be if I come out in lectures but
now it comes out through music and art
and I'm waiting for the day that Shiva
should stand up and the day will come I
promise it will come B hopefully still
in my lifetime that a Biga will stand up
on the podium and say just want to say
it's not an easy day for me to say this
but I think it's good work I went
through a lot of healing I worked on
myself very hard I'm doing much better
now there was a few years I was here you
didn't see it but a lot of stuff and it
talks like this and if Lea talks like
this I'm I'm I'm the I have the gift
that I can break the ice I I talk like
this but tomorrow will do it another one
a DI a and then everybody will be H it's
okay okay we're just
human remove the stigma there's there's
a big there's a few parts in it
obviously shame embarrassment guilt
perhaps so I'm starting my album I'm
thinking if this should be the beginning
first song or not but I have doesn't
matter if it's not starting the album
it's in the middle of the
album the song that start the song that
I'm starting the song in the album I'm
talking to
the and I'm telling him that I'm
connected to to your soul my soul's
connected to
you we have we we de we dehumanize so
many you of the Giants that we learned
like the to was full of all Theo I have
a
song he learns with me it's full of
stories that when I was growing up every
little thing I would be blushing he's
such with meic the way he learns with me
everything
father it's it's like he talks about any
Story the same and it's amazing for a
father and son to have a connection like
this he doesn't have that he didn't have
that upbringing of if if it's a story
what does it mean he doesn't have to
close his eyes the way M I'm telling you
the is unbelievable not only from the
learning but from that aspect I just
explained beautiful so we take we
dehumanized like I wanted to sing in the
song I wanted to say I feel my is
connected to
your but right away comes in the
negative Voice who are you to say it
like this and I constantly have
to quiet the voice and just be myself
and I sing about and I and I I tell do
it you can help me explain the community
this is what I tell in in in the
production help me explain the community
that talking about healing shouldn't be
a stigma because we say it in all
day but
because it's it's it's in English
healing oh what's going on
stigma I said do you were thrown out
your own family shed you and you worked
on yourself you journaled and you became
the King this is what I tell
help me explain the community let's take
off the
stigma a lot of people struggling I
think they're the only ones that are
struggling that's the that's the CR
that's the issue it's going to become so
popular that struggle will just become
part of
life now it's also part of life but it's
something that we want to deny it will
become something that we're going to
embrace and if we embrace it
what do it accomplish then then it's
just like food part of life is Death
part of life is struggle part of life is
pain and then how we deal with it we
don't have to have shame no
stor when things have to happen it's
going to happen beautiful do you have
any stories that give you any stories of
hope that you want to
share the story when I see people making
progress when I see the world changing
when I see people are growing when I see
more and more people people are waking
up to see the light yeah any stories
stick out any stories that you know
personally
maybe even a
rabish any
story I saw a on
the last week I did a grandma of the and
he come from rabish
family and he shaved his
beard and from the the re's house they
called me that I should make sure the
even is's going to have friends with
clean shaving beards I should respect it
the whole family of the rebos and I said
I'll go between the lines it happens to
be the who hir me told me that he wants
me to go between the
lines then before the someone told me a
story this B was once driving a car and
was close to his man and he saw he's not
making it home for Shas so he parked on
the highway the police came he gave his
license and his keys and he walked
several hours to get home wow so I kind
of looked at the story and I was like
here he may he's may he may be an
outlier from from the family and he he
may be different and they think oh but
Lisa he parked his car and walked for a
few hours and it shows this little
glimpses of what Hashem is and what real
connection means so I don't want to
cause any controversy you know but you
know the story with Mike TR and the S
yeah I made a song on it you there
what's it
called beard beard where is your beard
but at that time see that's a song that
I made even if it's true but I came from
a place of I was upset I was
passionately upset I want to make change
and now I'm I'm okay everything is
okay well what's a song called look on
246 right now it's on the hidden spark
is the album shout out to
246 oh 246 is the best we G do good
stuff hidden Spar is the album Hey
where's your
beard um yeah something like this he k
or something like this it's there I can
send a song
yeah when did this album come out which
year oh I don't even know like in the
like when he first started or no
saying that these days it's a lot more
electronic than music those days 2011
something like that 2012 after ask my
son yeah because these days everything's
a lot more electronic those days you're
probably one of the first more like
electronic types of music and that's
where you said spark the things going on
one of the things at that time I was
already I was almost on the other side
of the
bridge what's one question that you wish
someone will be asking you that you
never asked before
you can say it's a good
question
question think everything was asked for
me
um I don't know because people ask me
all types of questions so there's not a
shortage of questions there may be
things topics that I would want to talk
more but I'm hesitant but it's okay it's
a
stigma we're waiting you know the stigma
you're waiting for everyone to go out
there and say I have problems and people
started doing that you know the re W
Jacobson shot I know him so we had him
on the podcast but in a different
interview after that maybe I'll try to
bring it back on but he talked about his
own anxiety issues beautiful he said
that when he was a when he was a child
if you look at any pictures of him he
said this publicly in the interview he
said if you see any pictures of him you
see that he's missing some here in the
front he's very embarrassed by it why he
had an issue he had so much anxiety I
forgot what the term for is but he used
to pull his ear and that's why you said
is very these days why because he talks
about it from the heart he relates to it
yes yes you should you should take a
look at the the album it comes out yeah
I'm I'm waiting I'm waiting I'm waiting
I send you the promo I'll send you about
my
art and uh yeah and to be continued
amazing so what's one closing message
you like to share with our
listeners that everybody you see on
stage and every Rebel and every Riva and
every nugget who flies with a helicopter
or airplane and every doctor and every
poor man and every mother and every
little
child everybody is just an other human
being who is going through the same
things that you are going through
