brothers and sisters from all around the world the Western Wall welcomes you the [Applause] Western Wall welcomes you to the historical national and spiritual center of the Jewish people it welcomes you to Jerusalem the eternal capital of the Jewish people welcome for thousands of years our ancestors could only dream of this moment as they yearn to stand where we are standing right now look around you this this is a dream come true the Jewish nation has now returned to its ancient homelands it has returned to the site of its holy temple and we are gathered here today a united people in a reunified Jerusalem you are all links in our eternal chain of generations this chain began right here with Abraham and has continued through a great many trials and tribulations all the way back here to you what a journey what a glorious heritage has been passed down that chain and throughout these generations Jerusalem has been the golden thread that ties us together look around you take it in you are living that ancient dream
