JCPL Storm Update

hi everybody Chris onik from jcpnl here again in howl Township Mammoth County restoration efforts after last night storm continue this particular site here in Howell you can see the tree over my shoulder as well as our cruise getting set up this was a large tree that came down broke five cross arms here in the Candlewood neighborhood of Howell this morning we've also been out in Jackson where a large tree came down breaking four utility poles that just a sample of what our crews have been working with overnight throughout the overnight and into today as of 8:00 a.m. we were down to about 18,500 customers without power out of the 125,000 that were affected by the storm so about 85% Restoration in just over 12 hours overnight our crews working straight through the night straight through the day today they're going to continue working through the day 16-hour shifts they're working with safety as a top priority we ask the same from you if you see down trees down power lines keep away at least 30 ft you can't tell just by looking at a tree whether there are power lines wrapped up in there if you are still without power please make sure you have if you have a generator you have it outside away from Windows and vents avoid any fumes coming in your house numbers may continue to fluctuate throughout the day in the late morning hours here we've seen the numbers go up a little bit is we have had some new outages come in we had trees that were damaged last night that the continued Gusty winds are causing them to come down so some new outages coming in outage restoration times they are being updated as they are available go to JCP dl.com click on that outage map and as soon as a crew is assigned to your outage you'll see an updated restoration time once again though crew continuing to work throughout the day today and into tonight to keep the lights on get the lights back on after the storm that hit New Jersey
