It's a Great Time to Become a 1on1 Learning Partner

my name is maej pearl i joined the project inspired one-on-one learning program a little over a year ago tish above i watched the man at the wall uh presentation was very very moved by it loved it and was challenged right after watching it like what am i willing to do and so i clicked on oh okay i'll learn one-on-one and sure enough they signed connor to me literally within the week and it's been an incredible experience we study jewish history together something that he has a passion for it's something that he chose to learn with me i introduced the concept of learning in-depth uh study in other words not just reading it as the topic but literally we take it a paragraph at a time and talk about it and um and that in itself that those two parts the part the part of of connecting with somebody who may not have had the same privileges i had in my jewish education and connecting to somebody who's actually interested in this is is those two things are the inspiring part and and the great part of using my brain because we're challenging each other and and we really get into good discussions and topics disagreeing with the authors we're reading sometimes um and the like so it's it's it's been an absolute positive for me uh this past year and i'm looking forward to uh to many years ahead of this and and you know if there's anybody out there thinking about it it's this is a rewarding program and rewarding not just for the person you're going to be learning with um but really rewarding uh for the for the doers for us who for those of us that are lucky enough that we have what to to give so it's it's yeah it's been a real beautiful positive
