That's your It's your moment." And I I tried the solo and he tells me straight away. He says, "Tonight, you're singing this solo on stage." Wow. So, that was for me the first time that I'm actually opening my mouth in public. I was a shy kid. Mhm. You know what I mean? All types. The Salik one, beautiful. But, it's about Duddy Goldberg since I was born and they got some chicken and chips. Yes, I So, I took that. That was nothing to do with a recording of a tape. I had a tape in it. It's a rule. You know what I mean? It unfolded in the music. And nothing's a coincidence. Alice is in the end. What a question. In the day it was a little bit I started enjoying the music. So, and [snorts] she would say some of the some of the tells me there's a the recording choir for MBD's new album in Galko. The other like Ben Barack and he's inviting me to go. And for me this was a highlight. I'm going to see Mordecai Ben David in studio. Like it was it was a huge moment to to step into a studio. I was 16 years old. You know what I mean? It was like amazing. Kids he slaps me over. We arrive to the studio. So, kids about a gun 40-50 boys trying to get into the studio. They want to see Mordecai singing. They want to Kids so this book who called me his sugar was in the choir with Mordecai. So, we had like protect him as I go on. And Mona Rosenblum he's in the studio in the singing to someone in the in a great choir. So, Mona sing. Guy sing. Okay, he can sing. Kids came to my turn again. Sing. He said blow up. It was a moment. Kids so we I stayed there. Over there I met him in a month from bells and after the parallel. And after the Yes. >> [laughter] >> Also, he's he wherever there's music he would in those years he was there. He loved music. And he took my number. He asked me if I would come back for other choirs for studio and he invited me again. I went back to Yanni for sure we learned together in business in in in Ben Barack. I told him you won't believe where I was from the studio la la la la. Um and he says, "Wow." Kids of whatever you slept from then on, it was the in the choirs. We have Shmuel Kahana for the Daddy albums, for Moti Zimbom, MBD, um all my projects, Mona Rosenblum, and the Vana projects, Migavin Migavina highly from whatever was happening in the studio those two years, we were invited to and we loved it. I could say I picked up a lot of experience, you know. I was learning the industry. I was seeing how it's done, record the music, the vocals, the choirs, the mixing, the mastering, and then how it all it all comes together. And I was in I didn't want to write my name in the albums. We always we only wrote initials. Close up the mic. >> She and Gimmel, yeah. Exactly, yeah. It wasn't Though it was the best best outlet I could have had. It was the it was was a phenomenal thing, you know what I mean. It was it was the thing I was looking forward to and I felt I was thriving in it. It was very it was very special. And I got angry that that's my CD. That's my CD. This is my father's house. At this point I'm 19. Um So it's my That's how I do a CD. So we go into producers. That was my first CD. Um She Mendelowitz went to um Yossi Teberg. We go We went I wanted to check out my options. Then we we were swimming. Yeah, exactly. What is the offer? What am I getting back from you? I want to do a CD. Well, okay, that's what you do. Okay, this is the producer, but what's my interest here? What am I What am I doing? So to Yossi Green. Yossi Green I just came with Yossi Teberg, who's a phenomenal producer. And [snorts] it produced my three albums. Listen. I say I say and we his skin. Now after this is Listen was my Listen was he was a miracle of album. Listen was phenomenal album. It's It It just didn't make sense. I did everything 2007. Yeah. >> [clears throat] >> So um probably more popular than the most album at the time. It was I I at the time they were putting it into one of the top Jewish albums. You know what I mean? Kind of the Jewish albums must be done in the in the top five of love that good the It was the full package. It was the the sound of it. It was the colorful songs. The singing a new guy kind No one has a clue who this person is. Got it from London. You know what I mean? Like It wasn't it was it was very it was interesting was different. So and and suddenly I'm getting calls overseas some to America for for events, concerts, dinners. And and it's not only I've got two songs three songs from the albums to us. Every song was Mackenzie again. That was a huge artist Maya. I don't know what we did to to to earn that that has a design. I was thinking at the time because it wasn't it wasn't so much You know what I mean? It's not it's not you figured it out. It happened it was a Seattle to smile. There's a nice thing there's Malcolm song is looking at the smile song. There's the Schmabenee very good. super local So from Pinky's do you have a shift time? Yeah. Good song from him I shall sing a lot of songs. But But there are stunning album. Every song was It was a big up. It was a very big >> of the the Marcus fantastic correct? Mark the the Marcus song itself the that was part of the recipe I would say of that album. 100% to bring the emotions there What was the story behind the song? It brought out the emotions from a few a few points. First of all it it brought out the the emotion of a good song. Yeah. Also it had the name it has a name in it. Malkala So everyone who's got a Malki at home automatically was singing >> [laughter] >> 100% so so there was a little hidush in it as well. And also the emotion of the story behind it. My Malkala, Bliana, she's 24 today. And you know, she was born with with her soft disabilities. And magazine we took the topic. We didn't you know, we we were we were singing about this topic. And that is that's what caught a lot of a lot of a lot of people overseas as well. And all the you know, the the Mishpacha magazines or cur- whoever was doing magazines at the time, they were all reaching out. It's like Yossi Green deserves such credit, but the the he's he's a composer once in a generation. But I feel the matana a lot. But I feel more than that. I feel the the matana that I used to get. They say somebody the I used to give this only to someone who has koach. Uh you know, a challenge. A challenge someone has koach. And I say no. I say no. When it happens, then came the koach cuz if you ask anyone before challenge if they'll be able to To handle >> withstand and handle it. It it it the answer is no. We We're smoothing. We want to inspire, reach out to people and that's what we do the whole day. We We reach out. We We've got a tremendous responsibility. Our highest is to welcome people, to be happy towards people. You know, try and bring in peace in the as much as possible. You know, sometimes you could step in and you could be the game changer to help help a person and and put him on the right path. There's There's huge responsibilities here. And uh we have to utilize it. You know, not always do we do we maximize our potential, that's for sure. For sure um one of those things. But let me know if you have one trademark um where you try to really publish to to get them to Yeah, the man I'm if there's one trademark was really getting it's going to be a smile. The video? >> for a few years. First of all, I want to ask Ari, what's your excitement for this album? I want to I want to hear from you. What are you What are you expecting? [clears throat] What are you waiting for? I don't know. Quality of music. Okay. I'll be honest. Quality of music. Um Um quality of the direction. Um quality of the combinations So, that song is is "Zai Gezin". Zai Gezin. Start. Um I don't know. I'm just excited for your wellness. >> Wow, thanks. I'll tell you why I'm excited as well. I know. But to be holding here, Yossi Green put me together with Donny Gross, a young producer who's very successful. He's got a good vision. Donny Gross presents. It's a It's a Donny Gross um production. And he's it He's He's a young producer, so he understands what the what the new generation wants to hear. But he's also connected to the oldest the older generation. So he knows my older music. And it I don't even bring to beautiful a variation of of different songs here. And I think I think I'm super excited for the album. I think I think this is as as a shlichus to be able to bring simcha and music to people, I feel that base of Hashem with this album we've hit it base of Hashem. Yeah. So who who's in who has been involved in the last I mentioned Donny Gross, what what does he do? Who what what what was his part in the project? And they they're composed in a game and also together but they're involved in their project. So, it's a lot we're putting out in the sham 15 songs. 15, who wrote it? >> songs. It's really 14 songs because one song is English and Yiddish. So, with the Ziger in song, we've got lyrics in English and then >> of it. and then Yiddish. So, who wrote them? Um why did that happen as well? Because we gave the lyrics to Lipa. We then wanted English lyrics as well. We didn't want to divide the song cuz Lipa's lyrics were so good. It was a shame to give up on a a half a song. You know what I mean? So, we So, first of all, we're doing a duet. So, duet is I'm going with Lipa on that song. And then the English lyrics is is on its own. Which is which is beautiful and a song composed by Hershy Weinberger. Phenomenal composer. So, that's one composer.
