Israel Uncensored: When Jews Honor Hamas Terrorists
1,262 views
In the US, London, and even here in Israel, various fringe "Jewish" groups took the time to publicly mourn the deaths of the Hamas terrorists and their supporters who died last week while trying to infiltrate into Israel from Gaza. Josh Hasten discusses this twisted phenomena on today's Israel Uncensored. He hopes that this week Israel will enjoy some quiet in the south, and also in the north, where tensions run high with Syria and their Iranian proxies.

Josh hastened here Israel uncensored and
Land of Israel network at the Land of
Israel calm it is Sunday night May 20th
2018 the sixth of seven five seven seven
eight just concluded the holiday of
Shavuot wonderful beautiful holiday here
in Israel hope you're doing well in your
part of the world by the time you hear
this broadcast perhaps for those who are
celebrating two days outside of the Land
of Israel who are now listening to the
show hope you also had a wonderful
holiday other than the crazy Heat we had
here in Israel over the weekend the
holiday itself was it was a beautiful
beautiful experience celebrating God's
giving of the Torah to the Jewish people
giving of the Torah to the world really
and couldn't pick a better place to do
it
to celebrate this holiday than here in
Judea Israel you can get in touch with
me during the week Josh at the Land of
Israel calm on Facebook it's Joshua
hastin and on Twitter at Josh hastin now
since the holiday just finished there
are some stories in the news of course
it's not a crazy news evening here in
Israel it's always like that here
Sunday's are always the slowest days and
they should always be slow but usually
Sunday's and right after holidays here
not a crazy amount of activity thank God
of course last week was a very busy week
the last show that we had recorded on
Monday was from the event hosted by the
Yesha council the communities
representing Judea and Samaria the
leaders of those communities and we
talked about the US Embassy moving and
that of course happened last week a very
festive event and we spent a lot of time
last week talking about the Gaza
situation where the Hamas terrorists on
Monday gathered at the border about
40,000 people tried to infiltrate into
Israel and the IDF did what it had to do
and then killed a bunch of those who try
to infiltrate later of course if you're
just
in on this story Hamas themselves
admitted that I think 50 at least 50 of
those who try to infiltrate Israel were
actually Hamas operatives terrorists of
course and so that was the the biggest
those were the biggest stories last week
and there's still some backlash if you
will as a result of that Gaza situation
and we'll get to that in a second but
one thing I want to point out a lot of
commentators in the various publications
over the weekend the Jerusalem Post and
whatnot they made a great point the
world and many accused Israel of course
of carrying out crimes against humanity
in our self-defense because of the fact
that 60 plus Hamas members and others
terrorists try to infiltrate Israel but
imagine what would happen how many of
them how many of them would have been
killed if let's say a thousand got into
Israel and the IDF had to kill all 1,000
so in other words the numbers are
actually very low and it just shows you
that Israel does what it can to avoid
casualties and only shoots to kill when
it is necessary if a thousand or 500 or
several hundred got close to an Israeli
community the idea of would have no
choice but to do what is necessary to
protect the community as in kill all of
those people so those who are
complaining and accusing Israel of all
these horrible horrible massacres and
crimes against humanity imagine how many
more dead would it have been would there
have been if in fact they got through
and one of the the worst faults of the
mainstream media and I saw many many
interviews like this whether it's the
BBC or CNN and others interviewing
somebody representing the State of
Israel essentially complaining that this
is a disproportionate response by Israel
because no IDF soldiers were wounded or
hurt or killed or anything like that of
course the Warped moral compass of those
who most likely
hoping for Jewish deaths for Israeli
deaths but claiming that it has to do
with the proportionate response so the
the analogy I guess used which is the
most appropriate is if somebody was
coming to rob your house and the police
were there to fight off that person
would you then hand that robber that
criminal more weapons in a gunfight with
police to make it a fair fight I think
those types of analogies are probably
the best to describe the reality of the
situation even though oftentimes the
mainstream media just wants to see dead
Jews are dead Israelis because of their
hate not everybody because of their hate
for this country I think they'd be
happier if some god forbid soldiers IDF
soldiers were killed and that way they
could be satisfied with the situation
just a little bit as a result but anyway
the UN Human Rights Council of course on
Friday as a result of Israel's
self-defense measures in Gaza in Gaza
that's not how they spin it of course
voted to establish an investigation into
Israel's killing of Palestinians reading
here from The Times of Israel the
council voted 29 in favor 2 against 14
countries abstaining the two who voted
against Australia and the United States
want to thank the US and Australia
for doing the right thing just because
you're in the minority doesn't mean you
didn't do the right thing so those two
countries at the UN so-called Human
Rights Council of course the UN Human
Human Rights Council a big joke
appointing all different types of rogue
and totalitarian regimes and their
leaders to seats on the council whether
it's I don't know Syria and Iran and all
these other countries with questionable
to put it mildly human human rights
rights records they're the ones calling
the shots over there at the UN HRC so
it's not surprising that they passed
this resolution to hear a quote calling
out Israel for the disproportionate and
discriminate use of force by the Israeli
what they call occupying forces against
Palestinian civilians we're never going
to get a fair shot over there and out in
the near future but
more countries and our Prime Minister's
pointed this out time and time again
abstaining or voting on our side in
different UN bodies but yet with the
majority being countries with extremely
questionable rights records themselves
voting against Israel it's not
surprising in response Israel's
ambassador to the UN Danny Dino
unreported by the J post condemned the
UN Human Rights Council after to prove
this decision he said quote the fact
that the shameful decision was made even
even after Hamas officials admitted that
the vast majority of those killed were
terrorists proves once again that
nothing can separate this council from
its hatred of Israel according to a
statement by Israel's ambassador to the
UN and unknown US ambassador to the UN
nikki Haley of course the rock star the
probably the most popular politician
u.s. politician here in Israel I mean
anytime meant you mentioned nikki Haley
people just start clapping wherever you
are
she also issued a strongly worded rebuke
of the UN HRC saying quote at a time
when Venezuela lurches towards
dictatorship Iran in prisons thousands
of political opponents and ethnic
cleansing has taken place in Burma
the UN's so-called this is great
so-called human rights councils decided
to launch an investigation into a
democratic countries legitimate defense
of its own border against terror attacks
it's another shameful day for human
rights so thank you Nikki nikki Haley
thank you us thank you Australia and
those who stand with the Jewish state of
Israel knowing full well that Israel is
just out to protect themselves if the
Hamas members would go home then the
idea of soldiers would go home but if
the IDF soldiers went home first Hamas
would infiltrate Israel and as their
stated goal would try to kill any Jews
who they encounter here in Israel and of
course communities being just a
kilometre or even less away from the
border with Gaza and as a result of the
story you had a video circulating wasn't
the first of its kind on social media
over the last few days of so-called
and this is a fringe group here let's
not paint a picture this is in the
majority or a mainstream or anything
like that Jewish groups in England and I
saw a similar video I think a couple
weeks ago in New York a Jewish group
gathering to say Kaddish the mourners
prayer in memory over the Hamas
terrorists and it doesn't get any sicker
than that and then in the video you have
a couple reasonable individuals I would
call them strongly condemning those who
are saying Kaddish the mourner prayer
for Hamas again not the first time that
had happened at the same time you had
the bit Sol L Institute of Arts here in
Israel one of the students there created
some type of art project in memory of
those killed in Gaza Hamas members also
appalling and I suggest the government
should defund but Sawa as a result of
allowing this type of display in their
school they claimed it wasn't us it was
a student freedom of speech bla bla bla
but freedom of speech has its limits and
when you praise Hamas terrorists let's
remember how many Hamas suicide bombers
carried out attacks against Jews just a
decade or so ago and how many Jews were
murdered at the hands of Hamas so don't
give me this freedom of speech the
government should defund it solo and
those organizations and schools and
institutions that turn the other cheek
so to speak when it comes to praising
those who carry out murderous attacks
against the Jews of Israel another video
I saw this was amazing was in Tel Aviv
where a group of Jews in Tel Aviv
decided to scribble the names of those
who were killed in Gaza in chalk I
believe somewhere on the on the cement
that some very popular I don't know if
it was Key Caribbean in Tel Aviv are
some popular thoroughfare there and of
all people along comes an Arab Israeli
in Israeli Arab who served in the IDF
and there's a video that went viral I
saw on Facebook and this Arab condemns
the
Jews for supporting a terror
organization and he says time and time
again you are showing your support for
Hamas and they're yelling at him and
he's like I served my country I was in
the Army I'm a proud Israeli citizen and
you're Jewish and this is how you act
again let's be clear here this is a
fringe group that is doing this it's a
fringe group in England and in New York
that are saying Kaddish the morning
prayer from us but it was ironic that it
was an Arab who was calling them out for
being so despicable and at the same time
The Times of Israel reports that over
the weekend several Jewish parents
expressed outrage after children at a
New York City School were instructed to
observe a moment of silence for dozens
of Palestinians killed during clashes
along the Gaza border reported by The
Times of Israel this was at the Beacon
High School in the Hell's Kitchen
neighborhood in Manhattan apparently a
student got on the PA system and
instructed out instructed fellow
students to observe a moment of silence
for those Hamas members and the others
who were killed and their friends who
were killed there in Gaza and some of
the parents extremely upset by this no
comment according to the New York Post I
think who originally reported this story
no comment by the principal on what
happened but several Jewish
organizations condemning this school for
allowing such a thing to take place
there in New York City of course the
administration there in Turkey they are
not shy about their hatred of Israel and
accusing Israel of crimes against
humanity comparing Turkish president
erred to one on Friday comparing the
action of the actions of Israelis near
Gaza idea of troops to Nazi Germany's
treatment of Jews in world war two of
course making that comparison arid or
erawan he said the following at a
gathering there in Turkey at the
Organization of Islamic Cooperation he
said quote the children of those being
subject to all sorts of torture and
concentration camps during World War two
are now attacking Palestinians with meth
methods that would put Nazis to shame
this is our friend right era Diwan
remember when Israel tried to repair
relations with air Dewan and hang Turkey
for those terrorists on the flotilla
back in what was it 2011 I believe when
they attacked IDF soldiers on that
Turkish flotilla and in Israel
apologized and paid millions of dollars
to Turkey and reparations in order to
repair the relationship I still to those
Tilda's they don't understand why Israel
would pay Turkey knowing that these were
terrorists that came over on that
flotilla and that's on how you run the
show here in the Middle East showing
weakness by saying you're sorry
especially when these were terrorists
who came over to murder Israelis but
here you have I guess the fruit of that
that payment and in other words and what
I'm saying is that we didn't reap any
benefit with here still till this day
air Dewan the Hamas supporter the head
of Turkey the president of Turkey
comparing IDF soldiers to Nazi troops
but in fact this is actually reported by
Wynette this is what he said on Friday
he made that comparison and it's no
surprise there I mean erawan is is you
know he's in cahoots with many of the
enemies of the Jewish state of Israel he
himself is one of them let's call spade
a spade and hopefully hopefully one day
the good people of Turkey will overthrow
this horrible horrible leader and just
one will last Gaza related story here
there were protests Pro Gaza protests
taking place over the last several days
in the town of Haifa and now police
according to The Times of Israel being
probed for alleged violence in
dispersing the crowds there in Haifa 21
people were arrested in a demonstration
there the other day
the police maintained that they acted
lawfully
and of course you have the members of
Knesset from the Arab parties who are
slamming the police for the way things
were handled there the police are
sticking to their guns saying they
didn't and didn't do anything wrong and
you now have different M K's from all
over the spectrum who are commenting on
these riots essentially in Haifa there
but I wouldn't be surprised
ultimately it is determined that these
riots were organized by Israeli Arab MKS
I wouldn't be surprised if they're
behind these these rallies riots and
once again proving that their loyalty
does not lie with the State of Israel
even though supposedly they represent
15-20 percent of the population truly a
shame that some of the Arabs in this
country don't have real leaders who are
willing to accept Israel for what it is
and are willing to admit that the Arabs
who live in Israel have it better than
the Arabs and the Muslims who live
anywhere else in the Middle East if only
the MKS would admit that fact and
embrace the State of Israel embrace the
fact that they have education and health
care and benefits and everything else
and had a much higher standard of living
here in this country but that is not the
case switching to the situation in Syria
at least 28 pro-government fighters were
killed in a string of blasts at a regime
airbase in central Syria this weekend
reported by the AFP nobody has taken
responsibility here for the deaths of
these pro-assad regime forces and there
are some who are claiming that perhaps
Iranians or members of because
volaterrae gang were killed in this and
so far a jihadist group claimed
responsibility I don't see any
indication at this point that Israel has
handed it but who knows I'm surprised
that they aren't blaming Israel
regardless
perhaps this was some of the Sunni
groups they're responsible for an attack
on these on these Iranians but we'll see
we'll see what happened here we'll see
if Israel was involved but of course
Israel will do what it has to do in
order to protect its northern border and
we'll see what the near future brings in
terms of the conflict there in the north
visa vie Israel and Iranian troops on
the ground in Syria Hezbollah forces
Assyrians their pro-regime
we'll see what this week brings
hopefully it'll be quiet let's say that
hopefully it'll be quiet for the
residents of the galata in northern
Israel this week turning to Australia
and our almost weekly anti-semitism
report The Times of Israel says that
Jewish siblings in Australia in
Melbourne on Shabbat afternoon were
assaulted in a it's actually a suburb of
Melbourne were assaulted in a suspected
anti-semitic attack twenty five year old
woman her 22 year old brother were
standing outside a home when they were
attacked by an unknown assailant and the
man had a minor head injury while the
woman was taken to a hospital after
sustaining cuts nothing is
life-threatening but apparently they
were dressed as religious Jews and were
attacked because of the fact that they
were Jewish according to the reports and
we you know we have this I don't know if
it's daily or weekly or whatnot and we I
don't think we've talked about it in a
while on the show but this is just a
regular occurrence in countries all over
the world whether it's Europe whether
it's Australia here or the United States
or whatnot even in places like New York
where Jews who are openly Jewish are
being attacked in these anti-semitic
incidents time and time again
unfortunately that is the reality today
here 2018 who would have thought but
then you know it has been going on for
thousands of years nothing new
here but unfortunate nonetheless and
finally we are going to conclude with an
unfortunately some sad news the passing
of middle-east historian Bernard Lewis
at the age of 101 today on Sunday the
Prime Minister of Israel eulogized
Bernard Lewis he actually I believe
passed away yesterday one of the
greatest scholars of the Middle East
according to the Prime Minister
Netanyahu and he's published tons of
books on the situation here in the
Middle East
Prime Minister Netanyahu quote said
Bernard Lewis was one of the great
scholars of Islam in the Middle East and
our time we will be forever grateful for
his robust defense of Israel according
to an official statement and for those
who haven't actually I actually met his
head was honored to meet Bernard Lewis
on at least one occasion that I recall
truly a an amazing mind an amazing
scholar telling it like it is about the
situation here and is around the Middle
East is influential books reading here
at the Times of Israel shaped
generations of Middle East scholars so
if you're not familiar with the work of
Bernard Lewis may he rest in peace and I
don't know how many books if it's dozens
or or what not that he wrote on the
situation here in the Middle East I
don't even know where to start or what
to recommend there's so many but get
yourself on board and get yourself a
copy of some of his books and see what
the reality is here in Israel in the
Middle East just some titles here are
the Arabs in history 1950 the emergence
of modern Turkey the crisis of Islam
2003 predicting the the so-called Arab
Spring in 2011 in terms of what you know
how that could go wrong he warned about
what the situation might look like in
Egypt and in fact when the Muslim
Brotherhood took over
I me essentially predicted that
according to this report mr. brilliant
mind
so if you're not familiar again check
out the work of the one and only
professor Bernard Lewis Princeton
University who passed away broke down
Diana I met they say in Hebrew may he
rest in peace at the age of 101 and
that's going to do it for this week my
