Israel Uncensored: The Eurovision War
1,070 views
On today's Israel Uncensored with Josh Hasten, over 700 rockets were fired at Israel over the weekend resulting in the death of four Israelis. Was Israel too quick to seek a cease fire with Hamas? Doesn't Israel have a policy of not negotiating with terrorists? Could Prime Minister Netanyahu be looking for quiet as Israel gets ready to host Eurovision? Also on the show Marc Prowisor Director of Security for the One Israel Fund reports from down south where he is busy providing necessary equipment to the security chiefs and medics in full anticipation that this "cease fire" won't last long.

gosh wasted here Israel uncensored in
the Land of Israel network at the Land
of Israel calm it is Monday the 6th of
May 2019 the first the VR five seven
seven nine Kodesh Cove it is Rosh
Chodesh er here five seven seven nine
getting ready for Yamaha Israel
Independence Day this week and before
that Yama's occur on Memorial Day I
thought that this week's show would be
focused on Independence Day Memorial Day
the emotions which go into those two
very special days here on the calendar
in Israel but lo and behold there's
other news to discuss as a result of 700
rockets being fired at Israel by
terrorists in Gaza Hamas and pIJ
so-called Palestinian Islamic Jihad
since Shabbat so we definitely have to
speak about that hopefully we'll get
mark provider on the show a little bit
later on director of security for the
one Israel fund who is down in the South
delivering equipment to first responders
and security chiefs in the various
communities but things have looked a lot
different 24 hours ago then they do now
as of 4:30 a.m.
Israel time this morning Israel once
again has a cease fire whatever that
means
with the terror groups in Gaza whatever
that means because I don't understand
what that means a cease fire we've been
down this path about 20 times over the
last couple years and there's this low
and then a few months later Hamas starts
firing rockets again so I want to talk
about that then hopefully mark will be
available I know he's extremely busy
delivering much needed equipment to
those communities in preparation for the
next time when the Rockets start raining
down on Israeli towns and kyboot seem in
southern Israel so again 7 700
rockets fired since Shabbat in the
morning by the various terror groups
down in Gaza for Israeli civilians
killed murdered by the terrorists for we
lost for Israelis yesterday it's
horrible it's completely not acceptable
and it's extremely frustrating for me
this morning talking to you with another
so-called ceasefire the ceasefire the
Israeli government actually refuses to
confirm that there is a truce because
we're not supposed to be negotiating
with terrorists that's been the Israeli
way for years and years and years and
yet whether it's via Egypt or the UN or
whomever we do have now as a 4:30 this
morning a ceasefire with Hamas schools
were supposed to be cancelled today in
the South because of the rockets and
schools for the most part some are still
closed but for the most part they're in
session once they say the home front
command says everything back to normal
you know pretty much that there is a
ceasefire in effect but these really
government will not admit that they're
negotiating behind the scenes with Hamas
to come to a ceasefire which isn't even
a term that Hamas recognizes so I don't
know how you can even call it that
definitely not a truce which I said
before definitely not a ceasefire but
it's it's just extremely frustrating Las
Vegas by the way is already taking wages
wagers at this point on when the next
round will start so anybody have a bed
out there you want to make a prediction
send me an email Josh at the Land of
Israel calm I'll place your bet for you
when will the next round it might even
be like tomorrow whether it's rockets
and if it's not rockets so we still have
the issue of incendiary balloons and
kites and the burning of the fields and
the Friday violent riots on the border
all of that is still in play from what I
know extremely frustrating situation the
IDF did strike 320 targets yet Hamas
still stands Islamic Jihad
stands in Gaza and now we now we get to
the politicians the various ministers
and members of Knesset all taking to the
airwaves over the last couple hours
describing their up or rather some
defending the ceasefire giving their
opinions on the ceasefire whether it was
a good idea a bad idea
some defending some criticizing it you
have minister Yuval Steinitz for example
told army radio this morning he said
that this was the biggest blow that
israel gave to the terror groups in
since 2014 s protective edge he said we
accomplished in several days what it
took 50 days to accomplish in 2014 so he
was essentially praising his boss Prime
Minister Netanyahu but he also added he
said that the way to get rid of Hamas me
would be for Israel to conquer Gaza so
in that regard I subscribe but I do not
believe that Hamas suffered a major blow
over the last two days they're still
there they're still standing and
apparently they're still calling the
shots in terms of when we go to war when
we go to a ceasefire or what not gita
ansari mkq don'ts are from the Likud on
the other hand said they said the
ceasefire accomplished nothing he said
that the rounds of violence are only
becoming closer together I agree with
Gideon SAR on this issue I think this
accomplished nothing other than for well
a result of the last 48 hours as for
Israelis dead it's an accomplishment for
Hamas which is extremely sad for us
MK Smotrich from the National Union
affection of the bight iud party Jewish
home party said that there should have
been 700 dead terrorists one for each of
the rockets fired I agree with Smotrich
here that's for sure and then you have
opposition had been aganst I'd be
curious to know what he would do if he
was in fact prime minister but he said
that this was a surrender to Hamas
against of course just several weeks ago
declaring victory in the Israeli
elections only to now be sitting in the
opposition as Prime Minister net
yah-hoo remains our prime minister so
what do we get here we get quiet for
Yamazaki run for Yamato mode and of
course again that's Memorial Day
Independence Day taking place this week
and of course for Eurovision which is
set to take place and what at another
seven eight days or so maybe this should
have been called the Eurovision war or
the Eurovision battle because nobody
wanted there to be this conflict of
Hamas as the Eurovision participants and
all the fans arrive here in Israel so
that makes me very sad because we're
saying that this Eurovision I get it I
understand it adds tourism dollars and
it's a positive tool for Israel's public
diplomacy but at what expense at the
expense of the lives of those in
southern Israel the thousands of
residents who still don't know what
their fate will be and when the next
rocket will fall and when they're gonna
have to sleep in the shelter's again and
when people are gonna get killed and
people are gonna get wounded you had
hundreds over 200 wounded in this latest
round so I would call it sadly the
Eurovision battle which we had over the
last two days which ended Eurovision
battle ended because your vision is
right around the corner and as I said
before how much longer how much longer
until the next rocket or the next fire
bomb balloon incendiary device
oddsmakers want to know I thought we
were on to something when I saw images
yesterday of Israel targeting senior
Hamas leaders including the moneyman the
guy who financed terror attacks he was
the go-to man or the the conduit from
between Iran and Hamas supplying them
with the funding so that they can
continue their reign of terror he was
taken out by Israel and a few others and
I thought wow there's a change in policy
we're going back to targeting senior
Hamas members for senior Islamic Jihad
pIJ members but then it then it stopped
we
killed a few of them and then and then
it stopped but I've said this before
again you could just take your copy and
paste feature from a previous show I've
said this many times what has to happen
is we need to close the crossings with
Gaza once and for all we we actually
were providing fuel up until about noon
yesterday we were still studying in fuel
into Gaza for the huge so-called
humanitarian aid which they require what
country would send in aid while they are
firing hundreds of rockets don't
understand that policy I say we closed
the crossings and then of course we we
said that you could only the fishermen
in Gaza could only go what it was at six
miles six nautical miles out instead of
15 that was the big punishment or the
big deterrent to stop the rocket fire is
more accurate we need to close the
crossings once and for all stop
providing them with fuel which they
Hamas then uses not to enhance the lives
of its civilian population but to use it
to fire the Rockets use the building
equipment to keep building those tunnels
I know we destroyed a tunnel over the
last couple days we found and destroyed
another tunnel we actually probably knew
where that obviously we knew where that
tunnel was before you didn't just find
it over the last couple days Israel
destroyed a weapons smuggling tunnel
another one shut off the electricity
Israel does not need to provide an enemy
on its border with electricity
let the people turn against Hamas I am
NOT a fan of the notion that we should
send an idea of troops into Gaza to wage
a battle or a war so that Mahmoud Abbas
the Palestinian Authority can retake
Gaza I don't want one soldier god forbid
to pay the price with his life so that
the PA could once again rule in Gaza
that's not the way to go in my opinion
he shut off the water he shut off the
electricity and when the people have had
enough of Hamas let them overthrow Hamas
we had demonstrations the people of Gaza
some of them are demonstrating against
Hamas of course Hamas crushed them with
extreme violence which the so called
human rights activists
around the world basically ignored that
they ignore but when Israel uses
self-defense when seven hundred missiles
are fired at its civilian population
from mosques and schools that the world
ignores that is the reality so again new
policy needed for Gaza shut off the
electricity once and for all and then
eventually once and eventually then you
go back into Gaza you reestablish Gush
Katif you undo that horrible mistake
which was made in 2005 which got us to
the point we are now where you've had a
decade and a half
rockets raining down on our it's
actually it actually started in 2001 but
then intensified in 2005 so you have an
entire generation of kids growing up
under rocket fire in Gaza and you go
back in after you shut off the
electricity after Hamas is thrown out by
their own people Hamas which uses their
own kids as human shields and gets away
with it
then you go back in but first shut off
the electricity say once and for all
that's it we're never done providing you
with this aid and the resources that
they're using to turn against us the
four Israelis who were murdered who were
killed over the last several days 58
year-old Moshe Agati a father of four
from Ashkelon he was the first to be
killed then you had a 47 year old father
of seven a bedouin worker in a factory
in ashqelon saeed al imam de father of
seven he was murdered Moshe fader 60
years old he was hit by an anti-tank his
car was hit by an anti-tank missile
along the Gaza border there yesterday
just horrible and then 21 21 year old
penniless Menachem presumes mom if I'm
pronouncing that correctly he was
running for shelter in Ashdod and he was
killed as a result of rocket fire over
200 injured what is going to be ladies
and gentlemen with the residents of the
South I cannot fat
how tired they must be physically
emotionally mentally in every which way
because of all of these waves over the
last several years I can't imagine again
I work down in the south for three years
I know what it's like to run from
Rockets these were the days before there
was in the Iron Dome defense system 2007
to 2009 I worked down there and stay
wrote so I know what it's like having to
run but how much how much more how much
longer can these people sit there on the
frontlines with an enemy literally
within binocular view that's how close
they are how much longer until we get
rid of Hamas anyway we're going to try
to get Marc provider on the phone if
he's available doing good work for the
one whose real fund providing necessary
equipment to the security chiefs and
others in Judea Samaria the southern
border of the northern border my name is

Israel uncensored on the Land of Israel
network at the Land of Israel calm it is
Monday the 6th of May 2019 the first the
VR five seven seven nine we're gonna go
to the phone right now a good friend
mark provider director of security for
the one Israel fund of course when I
heard about the Rockets the other day
the first thing I did was call mark I
knew he would already be down there
somewhere in the South doing good things
providing people with the equipment they
need during these difficult times and
sure enough mark was somewhere in the
bear in the bear Sheva area assessing
the situation in handing out equipment
down there mark welcome to Israel
uncensored welcome back to the show
Thank You Josh thank you so tell me
where you are here today on this Monday
Israel now has declared a well they
haven't said it out loud but there's a
ceasefire in effect as a 4:30 this
morning 700 rockets you were down south
yesterday where are we catching you now
and describe some of the experiences
you've been having down there in the
south so I'm in Kerem Shalom right now
we're assessing what the needs of the
Russian security chiefs and the medics
and to see what you know what we have to
do because this is not over this is this
is you know if you have something to
beat me up and you just may have knew
this is not over this is going to happen
again and we're just trying to keep
these guys prepared for whatever
problems they may have so
what I'm doing down here today so even
though there's a ceasefire today
everyone knows it's just Leonor time
it's a matter of time the government
knows it's a matter of time this is all
a political game it's all a joke these
are guys and the people you're putting
their lives on the line and our soldiers
are putting their lives on the line and
you know look I'm sorry that I found
really upset but that's the way it is so
basically my you know today's is suppose
now quiet and uh we're trying to assess
what we can learn from this what they're
lacking and what one is more fun has to
bring these guys to keep them safe like
you know I say no more Jewish victims
and uh that's what we're doing now
assessing the situation I've been out on
well it's where most people can't go and
let's see what happens what happens what
was it like for you yesterday
dodging rockets down there along with
hundreds of thousands of others of other
Israelis there on the you get used to it
Josh Josh you get used to it you get
into it their lives you know they're
you're we heard different stories of
different people I mean this is not my
first time down it's not going to be my
last time I just I just want to take
care of the guys who are out here people
don't realize these guys were out there
running around when the Rockets are
falling because after you know they have
to get protect themselves and then they
have to go right out and then it hits
again and it's with the mortars are also
there they're the worst because you
really don't get warnings on them and
you just hear that whistle and you get
your act together so that's what we're
trying to do right now one is our funds
right now we're trying to we're just we
want to rate the funds that we're going
to be raising this week with no more
Jewish victims we're gonna apply down
south here at school region to a couple
of places up north to get the guys the
equipment that they need that's that's
what it comes down to so let me ask you
this why I was listening to several
memcache and ministers on the radio this
morning some saying oh this was a great
success
the biggest success since 2014 we sent a
clear message to Hamas I mean we've
heard this before other ministers in
memcache saying this was a disaster
after you don't you don't want a dispute
believe me you don't want me to speak
you don't want me to speak about it I am
really upset at the government why
because Eurovison yo mas boats going to
bother our ceremonies or the big deal of
the century
please these guys are here it's just a
game they're playing with and I'm
getting really a little sick and tired
of it personally and it's just not right
they could have they could have blasted
the crap out of these people and really
made them stop but again it's a game and
unfortunately the player the pawns lead
and I just want to do whatever I can to
help stop that that's all the pawns
really do bleed for dead over 200
wounded and as I said that's only part
of it
yeah that's only part of it what about
the people who have to live here from
now it stops and then it doesn't and for
them it doesn't end for them it's
constant I'm sorry I'm sitting here with
okay with the new security chief but the
other guy here was one of the older
security chiefs is a good friend I
haven't seen him in a while you know
it's it's just not right it's tough and
they come down I don't and the president
comes down other people come down and
you know what I don't see yeah
everyone's taking pictures and selfies
and all this stuff
I'm sorry I'm not seeing real action to
provide the proper protection to the
people who are living here I'm not
seeing it and I will go against any
government government minister and tell
him that I've watched why should I have
to be bringing equipment down and
working with it why why should I have to
be doing what I'm doing right yeah and
it's just not right what they have to go
through because it's they say ok ok so
today we have a ceasefire break
so what are we going to after Eurovision
that's it it's going to start again or
wait after Trump brings his plan and
then then what then they'll have to wait
for the summer before it happened again
or who knows what it's not right it is
not right
I said it in the first half of the show
I called it the I called it the
Eurovision war or the Eurovision battle
I mean if you want to give a name to it
because that's exactly I agree with
that's exactly what it is I'm putting I
was speaking that I was putting to the
chief of security yesterday and this we
have said I said ok I'm going to be done
in terms of them tomorrow I said and
they're like worried you know I said
look there's never be a ceasefire
tonight know it knew everyone knew this
was going to happen because it's a it's
just wrong and I'm sorry I am
not happy with BD and I get that all
upset a lot of people to here but that's
the way it is it's been in eighteen
years people don't realize or may not
realize that this actually was started
in 2001 with different degrees of
intensity over the years but the problem
has been there for years and years and
years and you have an entire generation
plus it's more than a generation of kids
growing up under circumstances which no
kids should have to grow up under
anywhere in the world and unfortunately
these are our brothers and sisters in
the south and you know what you're doing
is is you're making go ahead oh wait I'm
gonna take advantage of the fact that
I'm on the radio now for it and
everything and people and they were
we're saying okay equipment alright so
there's a ceasefire now so what everyone
else everyone's going to relax now and
then they're gonna wait for the next
thing to happen oh how can we help so
you know what I'm down here I'm trying
to really quit these guys of what they
need if if people you know outside the
country whatever they want to get
involved please don't wait for the next
round of violence don't do that I got to
prepare these guys I got to get them
what they need what they're asking for
now
before right and it's simple and these
are the bravest guys in Israel okay easy
there of shopton the security chief
security directors the medics with my
friend that I mentioned it was the
former of shot he's American yeah I got
I want to keep these guys safe because
they are the bravest people in Israel
same bottom-line me as a former security
chief when I say that I know what I'm
talking about by the way what's that
they're also the coolest people right if
you're listening to the broadcast go to
the one Israel fund website the campaign
is no more Jewish victims if you do make
a donation and protect as Mark said
protect people now have them be prepared
for the next round which is only a
matter of days weeks months down the
road right tell them tell them you heard
heard it on this broadcast and we will
make sure that one is real fund and no
more Jewish victims directs the money is
helping those security chiefs and as
Mark said medics down on the front lines
do it now folks do it before because if
you
listen to the first part of the show I
said it as well it's only a matter of
time this I call the Eurovision war or
Eurovision battle until the next time
but Marc keep up the holy work you're
doing alright a safe down there in case
you know the ceasefire stops today who
knows
yeah send us a census they put it up
online
Marc provider director security for the
one is real fun doing holy work if you
want to get in touch with mark go to one
is refund or you can get in touch with
him through me I'll connect you and we
will protect some of our bravest on the
front lines down in southern Israel or
in the north or in Judea and Samaria
wherever they are that's where one is
real fun wherever there's trouble
whatever wherever there's trouble that's
where you can find Marc provider and
sometimes I get to go along for the ride
so anyway have a great day be safe and
thanks for joining us here thank you
that's gonna do for today folks
Marc is already off the air he's back to
business protecting people on the front
lines and and we'll see where this goes
again I wanted to talk about
yo Matt Smith and yo mizuka Ron and
maybe bring guests on here who have
fought in Israel's various battles not
saying mark hasn't mark mark also has
fought in many battles I wanted to focus
on those two days important days here on
the calendar in Israel but it wasn't
meant to be as a result of the Hamas and
terror aggression from Gaza and as Mark
said it's only a matter of time until
we're having this conversation again and
maybe we'll do I'll skip I'll take the
day off from recording and I'll just ask
van brettski here my engineer to do a
copy and paste unfortunately
unfortunately it's very sad to say so
but just to end on a positive note we
will just finish with saying Hawks I may
have a happy yo matzah my I'm sure that
there will be people out despite what
happened this week celebrating our
independence despite all of it we have
been independent here in modern times
for 71 years the State of Israel despite
the downside and it's the greatest time
to be Jewish and in the Land of Israel
in two thousand years with our own army
and our own State
you're not the wandering Jew's any
longer so that we can definitely be
proud of here in Israel that's going to
do it for today Josh hasty and Israel
uncensored on the Land of Israel network
at the Land of Israel com coming to you
from Jerusalem our capital get in touch
with you during the week Josh at the
Land of Israel calm on Facebook Joshua

again next week everyone out there from
wonderful world of ours be safe have a
great week from Jerusalem Israel you
know it's not just a refinement of the
Jews and it's not just the strength of
the Israelis now but there is a whole
world of the nations that are a part of
this process and they are being refined
just as well and they are going against
the grain with the rise of anti-semitism
it's gonna get harder and harder to
stand and there's no running away from
it either I mean there's nothing greater
than living as a Jew especially in our
world today where we see the ingathering
of the exiles from all around the world
they're coming back to the Land of
Israel we have our own state the
technology the innovation the light
that's coming out of the Jewish people
in Israel is unparalleled and that's
part of what we're trying to broadcast
here on the Land of Israel Network and
share that message Israel inspired with
our Abramowitz and jeremy compel on the
land of israel network at the land of
