ah Houston here at Israel uncensored on
the Land of Israel network at the Land
of Israel calm it is Monday May the 4th
2020 the 10th of er 5 7 8 oh I hope
you're doing well and hope you are safe
in your part of the world don't forget
you can get in touch with me during the
week Josh at the Land of Israel calm on
Facebook Joshua hastened on Twitter at
Josh Hayes Dhin and on Instagram now as
well and here we are with a live zoom
call the one and only marked provider
director of security projects at the one
is real fun who is in a good mood
because he is in his studio painting
playing hooky as he told me before we
went on the air but I'm sure even though
he is there drinking coffee and hanging
out I'm sure in the back of his mind
he's coming up with the next security
solution for one of our communities in
Judea and Samaria Marc had turned back
to the show how you doing man what's
going on after you like I said hanging
out right now playing hooky a bit under
desks of course working on the solutions
that all the phone calls that are coming
in how's life under this unusual I guess
semi quarantine and I know you haven't
been in your studio painting the whole
time I've seen you out and about
including in my neighborhood in Gush
Etzion delivering equipment tell me what
life is like or has been like over the
last three months fighting security
while also dealing with the coronavirus
and I know you know just checking my
phone each and every day our nest some
of our neighbors have not stopped with
their intentions of murdering Jews even
with corona present in our reality no so
it definitely was interesting you know
in the first days there were still
incidents and then as the Arabs around
started to get the message to stay and
we we definitely saw a drop in incidents
happening and was quiet relatively quiet
yes a lot of we're a lot of most people
have to stay and we couldn't because
there was still equipment and solutions
and things have to be dealt with and it
was actually in a sense good because
was quiet so we were able to focus on
the future staying a few steps ahead
because we already realized what would
start happening that the incidence would
return as we're seeing now once again
we're seeing a rise in the level of
incidents Ramadan always brings that
about but it has been a challenge number
one our security guys had to start
protecting themselves more not just
against an enemy that they could see but
also against an enemy they couldn't see
deal with all that so it is it's
definitely been interesting
I've been lucky that I'm allowed to
travel I have a Deuter of the work that
I that I do I've been able to get out to
the community still still continue the
assessing I did play a lot of hooky as
we said I took advantage of the first
couple weeks really to be in the studio
and work as much as I can getting out
some more paintings but like you
mentioned yeah I've been we have been
out still doing the projects south of
Rouen where the communications just
redid all of that actually I'm an
Eastern gooshie feeling like you said I
was out around there and this Ramona and
we're still it doesn't end it doesn't
end and there's still a lot of
challenges before us it's been
challenging with the people who usually
come from the states and check out all
the projects that we're doing that
ceased but uh we'll see we'll see what
the next uh period has in store for us
yeah during this time you know much
human you mentioned Ramadan and I know
that there was a fear that as a result
of both corona and Ramadan and timer
what nada we did see a an attempted
stabbing at a soldiers checkpoint
outside of Jerusalem near my lad to me
last week but there was a fear I know
that there would be an increase in
addition to the unemployment an increase
in perhaps not necessarily terrorism but
criminal activity coming out of the
Palestinian Authority but that being
said if there is God where we had an
attempted infiltration I mean one thing
leads to another I mean you don't know
if somebody is trying to break into a
community for criminal purposes or
nationalistic purposes and as I said you
know you know sometimes these lead
there's spiral out of control I mean how
do you deal with with
that aspect of it during this period
well first of all I view both any
infiltration as an infiltration I'm not
trying to view it I'm not going to make
a difference between that whether it's
AHA whether we say terrorist based or
criminal based and infiltration shows a
weakness in the security apparatus of
that community that's number one but
something that was important to
understand and you mention employment
and so on so when we started discussing
already a while back when we started
seeing flowing employment going to hell
and obviously in all throughout the
world a major issue arise that what is
going to happen is that terrorists are
people that mentality you know I'm not
even gonna say terrorists okay but
you're going to find people who are so
down economically that they're going to
need money and this is where terrorism
comes into play what we will have the
Hamas or the PLO or any of the other
number of our great supporters will be
start offering money people to go and
commit an act of terrorism and we expect
that also to happen dude a lot of the
economic hardships that they're facing
what about on the other side of on the
other side of things I mean you have an
organization one is real fun which
depends on the support of
philanthropists and partners all over
the world I know that the nonprofit
world has certainly taken a hit with
people unemployed I'm talking about the
good guys here obviously I mean how does
an organization as an organization like
one Israel sustain its functionality and
its support of these communities and in
these difficult times I've been
following the emails that you guys have
been sending out and I know you're not
alone in the world of nonprofit in terms
of those who are taking a hit or whatnot
but how are you able to cope I guess as
an organization as a whole that does
such important work during a difficult
time and unforeseen circumstance that
we're currently in it it is difficult
it's extremely difficult I mean
obviously all the nonprofit's are taking
a major hit when is it included again
most people were would be coming
I mean the people that deal with my
realm remember one is real fun it's not
just security but community projects all
what I call the lighter side the fact
that less people were coming here and
seeing exactly what we do was making is
a problem and of course people are
focusing on a lot of their hardships and
their own communities we'll see we'll
see people are still working people look
there are people that understand that
supporting Judea and Samaria is very
important these people are still trying
as like in all the other organizations
you know we're working with them now
social media but we're having where is
usually you and I'd be hanging out
somewhere together and be doing this
interview you know they're a cup of
coffee or scotch or whatnot observing
the beauty that's around us great we're
trying we're a you know Yves Harrow
who's our director of tourism she's
going on with virtual tours still trying
comparing people who were not able to
get here to see the places and see the
beauty of the land and I've been meeting
up with my fellow security chiefs and
we've been trying to give people a
little bit more of an insight as to
what's going on we're going to continue
doing that this week we're going out to
the Pharaon area I'm not the biggest
social media expert but uh I've been
asked to start filming some of my
adventures and going around and we will
try to do our best and we hope that
people still understand that there there
is a need and it's what one thing that
people should realize about a lot of the
security projects we're matched by a lot
of others whether it be the regional
councils or the Ministry of Defence we'd
like to take part in our projects which
just enables us really to take things
much further and we're going to see
problems with that also because again a
lot of funding is being put towards the
the economy right now so we'll see we'll
see it's a challenge challenges are to
be met we'll get over it
we'll go over it and we'll make things
good well things are slowly starting to
open here in Israel and then different
countries around the world so hopefully
that will affect in a positive way in a
bottom-line
cents remember what you just said is
very important things are yeah in Israel
where you know exiting or whatever
people are calling you where we're able
to get around a little more that being
said in if I'm talking about the one
Israel fun side of it of the fundraising
for the project we credibly important
projects that were working on we can't
travel to the other place if you go to
the states now and come back remember
you're in quarantine and and right
honestly it's scary it's scary I mean to
head up to the major centers like New
York Florida Chicago LA I mean these are
you know you know it's it's a little
scary about that so again I think the
social media things gonna still play a
big part in it I see you've been busy in
other regards from the backdrop behind
you with all the paintings those people
who don't know mark is also also an
artist perhaps an artist before he's a
security chief people maybe would have
assumed they would see a back track drop
back drop their of m16s and all the
other equipment security commitment but
instead you're seeing all these
paintings looks like you've made a lot
of progress during your your quarantine
did John has been great for me no but I
really been it really has been great for
me yeah absolutely the unfortunately I
was supposed to travel and have actually
three shows that I was going to be
working with in the States I've been
showing a different side of things art
and terror which is like a lot of people
know me from the security world and the
Chiefs you know it's a long time I
didn't twelve in this exact things about
23 24 years that I've involved in
preventing terror and there was a
another side that would come out in the
paintings that I usually wouldn't show
because they're actually very dark and
they really get to you and some people
notices and I was in front of the Danish
Parliament some of my stuff was just put
in a book in dealing with it how artists
do deal with terror so they're the
corona
thing in one sense yes gave me a lot of
started putting out a bunch of new
paintings and I'm hoping uh look as soon
as a travel things ease I'll be able to
get out again obviously I have to make a
I will be getting to the states again
have to work on some of the fundraising
aspects to get some of these projects
moving and also get some of the art
moving you know that that can't that
contradiction that I live between art
and terror it's always makes for
interesting things but I'm still going
out and that's the way I assess a lot of
their dangers in the communities is
using and painters view a painters
viewpoint and looking for some of the
vulnerabilities so it's uh it's
interesting it's interesting well it
definitely looks really nice from where
I'm sitting here seeing the paintings
behind you the one and only mark
provider director of security projects
one is real fun keep up the holy work
you're doing I'm glad you've had the
time to paint and keep our communities
protected we're counting on it we
appreciate it we thank you so much for
all your efforts and I know that working
with the local councils the councils are
also grateful how can people get in
touch with you if it's about security
security projects one is real fund or if
they want to buy one of your paintings
well regarding the security projects
that obviously can be in touch with with
one Israel fund and they'll put them in
direct touch with me arabela
so the many projects that we are working
on absolutely and it's very important
you know the coolest nefesh alochol as I
say you know saving a life is a in the
security realm what we're doing that's
what we're about preventing the terror
preventing the violence and giving
people a their right to live safely and
that's what we're trying to do whether
it be again the security projects
various medical projects anything in
that realm be in touch with one is real
fun that would be one is real fun dot o
RG I'm sure they can find it they have a
phone numbers right over there and if
anyone wants to buy my arts market ro
arts come check it out check it out it's
good actually absolutely mark at mark
pro arts calm and uh if you're into it
hey store is open
thanks so much go back to your painting
and screaming the other toss yeah it's
been a long time in summer summer it's
hard it's hard to be enclosed but you
know as I'm going to talk about in the
second part of the show let people know
exactly what is opening up here in
Israel we're gonna be discussing that
here just a minute after the break so
hopefully we'll see you again very soon
at the Mamula mall or anywhere else we
decide to hang out no more Jewish
victims folks that that's what this is
about no more Jewish victims Barclays
provider one Israel fund thanks so much
for your time and have a great day we'll
talk soon thanks Rob
the question is why are the Jews there
in the first place the Jewish people
have been yearning to return to their
ancient homeland for a long time they
each I fly sure show the voice of a new
generation of pro-israel activist and
there's only two kinds of minorities in
the Middle East its armed or unarmed
it's inspiring minds to think
differently that jihadism doesn't just
attack Jews
it attacks Christians and it mostly
attacks Muslims inspiration spirituality
and politics so first and foremost this
country is we're here to defend Jewish
people and to live in a sense estriol
homeland listen to the he shied
fleischer show every week on the Land of
Israel network at the Land of Israel
dot-com
and we are back Josh Easton here Israel
uncensored on the Land of Israel network
at the Land of Israel calm thanks again
to Marc provider director of security
projects for the one is real fund for
his insight on fighting terrorism in the
age of corona and speaking of The Cove
in nineteen Jerusalem Post reported
yesterday that schools across the
country opened their gates for the first
time in nearly two months after the
cabinet voted to open the schools
children in grades 1 through 3 and 1112
not all schools open folks but a lot of
them I think it was a million children
went back to school yesterday and the
question is on my mind at least is did
we move too fast is it the right move
for schools to open already is it the
wrong move I mean time will tell please
God it was the right move please God
we're headed we're headed in the right
direction I know that the numbers show
that the number of those infected with
the virus is dropping the number of
those recovering is on the rise and
these are all amazing amazing signs
thank God
but will there be a second wave you know
doctors and scientists and all those
involved have different opinions on
whether there'll be another another wave
of the corona here in Israel latest
numbers for this morning I have right
here let me just pull up my Ministry of
Health app on my phone
unfortunately 232 Israelis have died as
a result of the corona at this point you
have 16,000 208 cases part of those
include all of those who are now well
and thank God that number is at 9000 749
so more people are getting well less
people getting sick and perhaps that
justifies trying to reopen the economy
and reopen the schools and as I said
just a minute ago time will tell today's
Jay posts reports that the
ministry has drafted a comprehensive
plan to lift restrictions in an effort
at the same time to contain the corona
virus outbreak and please God again
hoping that there will not be a second
wave regarding commercial activities the
ministry said that malls and markets
will be allowed to open on May 17th as
long as no more than one person per 15
square meters is allowed in I mean this
is this is difficult it is very
confusing the regulations one day you
can't do something the next day you
can't I mean I don't know how you're
going to monitor one person in 15 square
meters I mean you got to get out of tape
measure and make sure that people are
hearing to this very difficult very
confusing one day you can do something
the next day you can't I mean last week
ano Matsumoto Israel's independence day
and we had a full lockdown and on the
entire country and here we are just five
days later and we are opening things up
hotels will also be opening up with no
common areas they'll be allowed to open
restart activities on May 17th simmers
if you know it's it what a simmer is it
is a single room vacation cabin very
popular here in Israel those are allowed
to function already as long as the rules
are being followed according to the
Health Ministry plan people are allowed
to start seeing immediate family as well
as grandparents and this I found perhaps
the most surprising because of the fact
we were just told a few weeks ago the
worst thing you could do is visit
grandparents I know the corona is still
not over
so I have a little bit iffy on this one
especially visiting grandparents and
from May 10th relatives and friends up
to 10 people while wearing masks and
keeping distance will be required
outdoor gatherings weddings and funerals
up to 19 people also keeping distance on
May 17th the number of people who can
assemble is going to be up to 50 people
please God again please God everything
will be good everything will be fine and
again not that things should return to
the way they were but we definitely need
to take the lessons which and messages
which I believe God was trying to send
us need to get back to basics and focus
more on our families and on the
important things in life
I'm not saying work is not important and
the other things we do aren't important
certainly you know the holy people of
one is real fund and many other
organizations around the world who
unfortunately have not been able to work
to their capacity as a result you know
those things should go back to I guess
somewhat normal or normal and that holy
work but we really need to take this all
in
and figure out we'll never understand
really you know why it happened but what
can we learn from this situation how can
we better our planet how can we better
humanity as a result moving on here to
politics The Times of Israel reports and
this is going on right now as I am
recording this broadcast the High Court
of Justice is reconvening for the second
day of hearings on petitions against
allowing indicted Prime Minister
Netanyahu from forming a government and
against the unprecedented rotational
unity deal that he inked with blue and
white chairman Bennigan's they're
figuring out whether Prime Minister
Netanyahu and indicted prime minister
can be charged with forming a government
yesterday's hearings were being held in
front of an expanded panel of eleven
justices with representatives of the
coudé blue and white and the other
branches of government who urged the
court not to intervene and it Sani I was
appointment they were followed by the
petitioners who argued that the justices
were obligated to step in and the
hearing is being broadcast live as I'm
talking to you you can find it on the
internet by the time you hear this won't
be live obviously but
that also an unusual precedent there so
bottom line we will see if they will
allow a lot of other stuff going on a
lot of other things being decided but
the main issue as far as we're concerned
here is will Prime Minister Netanyahu be
given the opportunity to form a
government or not that is the main issue
for our purposes here and while all this
is going on with corona I think we
talked about it last week also the
Europeans have plenty of time on their
hands they don't have to worry about the
virus so much did you know that whether
you're in Italy or in Spain or any these
other countries you don't have to worry
about the virus because Israel wants to
annex Judea and Samaria I mean we want
to declare sovereignty over the biblical
heartland here in the Land of Israel and
because of that Europeans don't have to
worry about Corona I mean that's
basically the message that I'm getting
out of the EU and out of Europe as
ambassadors to Israel reported here by
The Jerusalem Post of 11 European
countries and the EU registered a
complaint with the foreign ministry
about the possibility of Israel annexing
30 percent of what they call the West
Bank I called Judea and Samaria European
sources confirmed this past week the UK
Germany France Ireland Netherlands Italy
I mean these are some of the hardest hit
countries Spain Sweden Belgium Denmark
Finland and the EU protested the foreign
ministry deputy director-general for
Europe Anna
Azari in a videoconference the fact that
Israel wants to annex parts of Judea and
Samaria according to them and this is
absolutely false annexation violates
international law harms chances for
peace and will hurt Israel's
international standing that's all
baloney all three of those items these
are just lies annexing Judea and Samaria
the concept of Jews living in Judea is
not illegal under international law we
just had the hundredth anniversary of
the San Remo conference go back and
check out that legal document and all
those legal agreements under
international law but it just boggles
the mind that the European Union is
wasting their time their obsession over
Jews building in Judea has gotten so out
of control that they are wasting
wasting wasting away instead of focusing
on Corona I mean if you're listening to
this broadcast and you live and one of
these European Union countries or the UK
I mean shouldn't you perhaps speak out
that your leaders are abandoning you to
because of their their obsession on
Israel I mean that's really what this is
all about they will always say it's
never the right time you've heard that
forever it's not the right time to build
it's not the right time to annex it's
not never the right for them it's never
the right time to do anything in regards
to our ancestral heartland Judea and
Samaria never the right time in the eyes
of the European Union still obsessed
with the failure of the Oslo process now
for over 25 years
peace plan after peace plan going down
the same Road with no positive results
just making things worse but the euros
as we know for many many years have been
obsessed with the Jewish people and now
they're sticking their heads in the
business of Israel and instead of siding
with those of us who want to see Israel
grow and develop and to thrive for all
its citizens and all the people living
here they want to continue to label
products Jewish products only Jewish
products they don't want Israel to
continue down a path towards what
perhaps could be a much more peaceful
reality here they are obsessed with
going down the same failed path time and
time again so if you're living and
living in the EU maybe you want to speak
up and tell them to fight the corona and
not fight Jewish homes and nursery
schools in Judea and Samaria and that's
pretty much going to do it for this
week's show
if you missed any part of it you can
