The verse says, "Because Israel will see
war and turn back from Egypt." Now, I
think it's amazing that Gaza was just
always a thorn in our side that we
always had a problem with. But it
doesn't really make sense because just a
few days later when they have war in the
desert with Amalcch, it's not like God
was trying to shield them from war. So,
what exactly is going on? And so I
learned an incredible teaching from Ravo
Bin and he discovered Egyptian
archaeology from the time of the exodus
from Egypt. Egyptian branches and
military outposts from Egypt through the
area of Gaza all the way up through the
land of Israel right at the same time as
the Israelites were leaving Egypt. You
see that that there on the bottom has
Egyptian hieroglyphics. It's an outpost
all the way up in Bsha near the Sea of
Galilee. Egypt was the mightiest empire
at that time and ruled over the land of
Israel. There were Canonite nations
there, but Egypt was the superpower that
ultimately was the boss. And so God was
saying, I don't want to take them out
directly into the land of Israel. I
don't want them to go directly through
the land of the Philistines because
that's still Egyptian territory under
Egyptian rule. They haven't really been
liberated yet. The Israelites needed a
complete break from Egypt. Going into
the land directly would have been like
escaping the United States and going to
Puerto Rico. It's like that's not really
free from America at all. Israel won't
be able to develop as a nation as long
as they're still under the thumb of
Egypt. And there are commands in the
Torah that constantly say, "Don't go
back to Egypt." The prophets say over
and over again, "Don't rely on Egypt.
Don't go back to Egypt." Had they never
left the opaces of Egypt, every time
they would have encountered a war or
problems, they may have been tempted to
go to the big brother Egypt and the boss
and make order out of the chaos. And so
the next text, God didn't say, "I'm not
taking you out because I don't want them
to see war.
They might want to come back to Egypt."
It's not necessarily to escape, but it's
like the United Nations. It's like going
to the United Nations and saying, "Can
you come and make order in our
territory?" God didn't want that. God
wanted complete liberation. So God takes
them deep into the desert where Egypt
has no presence at all. Israel needed a
complete break in a showdown with Egypt
once and for all. And that happened at
the Red Sea. And then they go into the
land of Israel as an independent and
strong nation and then commanded never
to go back to Egypt. and the prophets
Isaiah, they kept on saying years later,
don't rely on Egypt. Don't go back to
Egypt. And only at the Red Sea when
Israel was saved and the Egyptian army
was destroyed was Israel able to really
sever ties and just completely end their
relationship with Egypt and they were
finally truly free. And this is where
the teaching stops being about
archaeology. And really the Torah is
speaking to us as prophecy because
history always has a way of repeating
itself. It's always has it's not always
in the details, but it's definitely in
the pattern. And Israel can't help
herself. She keeps turning to the
superpowers. She keeps looking for a
Pharaoh to negotiate with, a mighty
empire to guarantee her security. Israel
is relying almost entirely right now on
President Donald Trump and the powers of
Washington DC. They're forming this
international board of peace and an
international solution to manage the
very land that Hashem brought the
Israelites into the promised land
promised to Abraham. And it's almost
poetic and tragic that the same strip of
land that God said we weren't ready to
walk through is the same strip of land
that we keep struggling with. Shalom. My
name is Jeremy Gimpel. We started an
online seminar teaching life-changing
biblical wisdom revealed from the
original Hebrew and straight from the
mountains of Judea. With global
instability on the rise, more and more
people are turning to God, realizing now
they don't exactly know where to look
for guidance. The Bible says the
guidance will come from the land of
Israel. What started as an online
seminar has grown into a global
fellowship with hundreds of members from
over 30 countries. We are participating
and fulfilling prophecy as we learn the
Bible through the eyes of prophecy with
a focus on what it's telling about us in
our lives today. What you will discover
is that the wisdom transmitted thousands
of years ago is speaking directly to us
in our time right now. Instead of
learning the Bible as a religion, it's
the Torah of Israel, the living guidance
of God. So, please join us for our next
online gathering and get access to the
full library of teachings that the Land
of Israel Fellowship is offering. I
don't know how you found this video or
what compelled you to click on that
link, but I don't believe in
coincidence. And I would encourage you
to take the next step on your journey
toward the land of Israel. I hope to see
you at the Land of Israel Fellowship.
Shalom.
