Israel Inspired: The Illumination of Nadia

Israel Network the Land of Israel calm we have with me today on the show and all you know I don't say this lightly or easily one of the greatest most important people alive leaders of our generation and that is Nadia Matar of women in green she is a perpetual source of inspiration to me and reminder that one voice can actually shake the world can really make a difference so we're gonna speak to Nadia Matar I wanted to interview her today because of the extreme relevance and extreme confusion that is happening right now regarding this Trump plan and the annexation declaring sovereignty what is it is it a good idea is it a bad idea the the normal lines of demarcation have changed so much and the time period before this would be theoretically implemented is so short that a lot of people are shaken you know the the normal right-wing people who you think would be for a certain thing against a certain thing they're split down the middle it's it's very confusing so I wanted Nadia to come out here to share a little bit of clarity with us share her perspective with us on this because it's not for us it's not just academic you know for the truth is it's not academic for anyone not even for for Jews throughout Israel for Jews around the world and for non-jews around the world this is the tip of the spear in the war against really Western civilization and freedom and it may seem like oh it's out in Judea Samaria in the West Bank no no this is a very different thing but for us personally out here we're an enclave number eight that means that we will be a peninsula within this Palestinian state and the beautiful rolling hills of Judea will now be fun esteem and that is a horrific thought and as you our listeners have know we've had debates Jeremy and I on the last two programs quite sephorus debates regarding this exact thing so Nadia to have you here is a tremendous privilege I want to get a little into your story in your history but first let's dive in just to this subject could you help us make some sense out of this is this trump plan a good thing or a bad thing Shalom Irish alone to all the listeners don't listen to all the introduction he gave you and I'm just a simple Jew here on Ella tal who have the privilege to I have the privilege of being part of the many many many people who have taken part into the struggle to for the Land of Israel and I represent here an organization called the sovereignty movement which we really created it in 2011 and we started in 1993 I sound like an old woman and when the Oslo agreements were signed we started with women in green and in with a very simple message the Land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel and when the Oslo Accords were signed in 93 giving the murderer yes a fat foothold in our land etc we started demonstrating and and protesting and over the years when we the culmination of that period was the minutia Qatif the transfer the eviction from the Gaza Strip and after that I met a very special person called you did cuts over who was one of the real pioneers of the renewed Jewish settlement LaVon this whole generation of people who in 1967 though the war was one six-day war a miracle if you allow me to give a little background because it's important as you know the listeners know Israel was founded in 1948 we were detached from our from Judea Samaria and so many more areas and then we had a 67 war where all the Arabs wanted to attack us Israel was so worried that it would be defeated that they dug 30,000 graves before the war people don't know about that they thought would be the end and then God gave us this miracle list in six days we return not only did we not did they not succeed in defeating us and destroying the state the little State of Israel but they did they we succeeded in returning to Judea Samaria Jerusalem Golan Heights etc and what was missing and what was lacking was lacking is the real victory we physically we won we returned to those places but legally the government was in such shock that of the victory and there was no plan nobody planned what do we do if we win and when you don't plan then you do mistakes and what should have been done on the seventh day of the victory was to include all those areas where we returned to as part of the Land of Israel to basically apply its sovereignty like in 48 people don't know but the first sovereignty that was applied was in 48 when there was a partition plan and after the war we returned to more areas that were written down in the partition plan save economy and all those places we applied sovereignty over it anyway because of this mistake by the government at the time what was the reason for that it seems so obvious that you shouldn't need to plan for such a thing but it wasn't done why wasn't that it's a very good question we're having debate let's not hide it there was a population here that people didn't exactly know what should be done with this and they were in shock of the victory it's really in shock there was no plan you know it was very young state and then they said let's create because we don't know what to do with those areas that we return to let's create a body that will manage the hair yet till we decide and that's when the Civil Administration was founded they will administer those areas they thought it would be for a few months till they decide and meanwhile heroes pioneers who listened to the news and said what do you mean what do we do we have to return to those areas and renew Jewish settlement there Rabbi Levin girls at size were back on on poet all those people who created those were those were the real heroes who basically changed the history of the of the Jewish state here had they said oh the government doesn't want do anything I'll just stay home I'll continue to be a rabbi in in Ramat Gan etc whatever nothing would have happened but those are people who picked up their pecker laughter little bags and they said the government is not doing it sometimes it's our job to raise the government and remind them what to do Danish yes rabbi Lev and go and we knew Jewish settlement there with with the entire group of people and Kenneth Alba was founded and in karate on your head rabbi rabbi cannon poet and from Kiryat Arba the cat's over us went to the shaman that's how it started and from a few people who had a dream who understood what the message is what God wanted from them we have now half a million Jews here in Judea and Sumeria but what was not what was not changed the legal status all those years even though we built so many Jewish communities here and one of them being here where I had the incredible privilege in being in your farm here it's amazing what you have turned this into all those areas that were built half a million Jews almost live here but the legal status didn't didn't change and the question mark over those areas is still there so should we be surprised that at a certain point people started calling us occupiers they basically said if you don't claim it's yours and who is it from and on the other side the Arabs started saying it's ours and therefore our movement from 93 to 2005 we were saying no demonstrating no to a Palestinian state you were with us at a time no no we were being arrested we don't want us law we don't want arafat no to giving them weapons not to give what is our yes when you did kassover got involved in our organization we started after the bush Qatif seeing how the arabs are taking over lands in Judea close to us in a flat illegally the Battle of Area C had started so we had local battles and we came out and and and tried to and we won here in Judea and many different places we succeeded in redeeming redeeming but anybody who works with you didn't know so you can never be happy what you have so we redeemed a little army base but around us the Arabs were taking over illegally everywhere - in 2011 she said that's enough we cannot just go around and just plant a few more trees and think that that's gonna save today in Samaria what is the basic problem here the basic problem here is that the National camp doesn't have a plan a message the left says to stays for two people a Palestinian state that's how I wish let's separate what is our plan we can't just say building and having more Jewish communities and we can't just say no and we can't just say no so the time has come she said in 2011 to raise the flag of what should have been done the seventh day of the week of the Six Day War to raise the flag of the application of Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria and now you're very careful with your words right you say this annexation don't use the word annexation because first of all legally it's not a correct term your next something that's not your so there's something that you took from another country Judea and Samaria was we're not another country there were what we did there is we basically return completely legally and all and it's ours it's already under our control all that would needs to be done is to pie is really sovereignty and fortunately at the time they didn't do it and they applied Jordanian rule and Ottoman rule and all kind of rulings here that that messed things up but what we said in 2011 is it's what we need to do now is to raise what yes what is our yes what is our vision why did God put us here what do we need to do in the Land of Israel why do we need you to in Samaria what is the Jewish people capable of doing one we will be here and that's when we raise that flag we started with and we know what we found that re we thought let's go and convince Tel Aviv people started talking about our own friends and people said who needs it they looked up and they said you know what and then we realize we have to first do our work within the national camp to convince them that that's what we needed we started with parallel meetings and lobbying expensive members and small the first in 2011 our first conference in Sivan with a few brave speakers among them at City Hall to belly yell they were really brave that came with a few we were 200 people next year 500 people have one next year a thousand people in 2013 in in Jerusalem that's when Bennett came out with his plan all sudden started moving and again I don't want to take the credit god forbid we have to mention those who spoke about sovereignty before us which is really true of blessed memory memory and may she have a long life Caroline Glick and and your our meeting girl and Mark wise they all spoke about it in their articles in the news but I spoke about many different things and we you did said rightfully you need cuts over says we have to have just to focus when you want to inculcate a mess in the consciousness of people you can only talk about that we're gonna take the sovereignty message and you know boom boom boom 70 70 70 then we realized that in the sovereignty family of all those who oppose a Palestinian state and you had different people with with different opinions they all opposed a Palestinian state but they have different plans of how to apply sovereignty that's when we met Naftali Bennett with only Area C caroline glick said we should do it on everything and we can give them citizenship the Arabs and Martin Sherman said ma peetam absolutely not that's when we decided to be a platform for everybody we're going to promote sovereignty no matter what your opinion is you will have a platform in our journal we came out with a journalist if you're pro sovereignty that's the umbrella and we continue to continue to as we couldn't dream we couldn't have a better dream that all of a sudden more and more people started talking about it till it reached the high levels until it reached the level of the Prime Minister and the President of the United States and now I'm gonna get to your question necessary preface to know how we got here you can't answer the question moving forward to have a podcast and when you're on TV you can't it can't say all this in the 30 seconds they actually do know this is long-form no it's very it's very important to understand and all of a sudden we've been promoting sovereignty together with many others again many other people and Knesset members more and more Knesset members came out for sovereignty and the idea and was and was so clear to all of us the Palestinian state we buried that terrible idea and now we gave an answer to the left the left said let's create a Palestinian state two-state solution we knew that blew up in our face the majority of the Jewish people understood that the Palestinian state idea is a danger to the survival of the of Israel therefore we suggest that something else sovereignty and in fact I want to add one more thing to when I get before I get to the Trump plan and when we one person told us you guys are saying sovereignty I say mushiya you don't really have a plan how is it gonna work like what's gonna happen and we said you know what he's right we shouldn't make the mistake that they did in 67 not to have a plan so we went to check what is the National outlined plan of Israel what do they plan for the next you know every country is a national outline plan we went and we to our shock and horror we saw the national outline client of Israel it's called Tama 35 I should have brought it to you and I'll send it to you it's a map of Israel where they planned a few how it's going to be Israel in 2048 2050 and Judea and Samaria is white it's like this sheets white nothing is on it it's as if it's not part of Israel we said what is this there's no national outline plan Judah and Mary are not included we said we were in complete shock so you'll say how couldn't be we see we see you know and there's building everywhere here and there there is building in Judah in some areas and sometimes even expansion here and there a front has grown etc but it's local initiatives it's not with a national outline plan with somebody thinking of how is it gonna be in the future a mayor has a good connection with the government he can get some money you'll get an agreement to build another Hill in his community but there's nothing planned for the future we were in complete shock meaning Israel does not plan to be part of Judah and Savannah to be part of it so that's when we went to an architect and we started planning the national outline plan we call the Tama Mayor Tama is a Hebrew National outlined plan the one that is now is 35 we call the Tama mayor for the year 100 how is Israel gonna be in 2048 when we apply sovereignty from the sea to the Jordan River on everything we're gonna bring two million more Jews and we're gonna where she will bring new Lisa V my etc so we were basically focusing that the two-state solution is dead thank God we thought and here we're now planning ahead you know full force ahead how is it gonna be with sovereignty we'll have a debate among the national camp whether its first on Area C shall we do everything together that was it and then boom came the Trump plan the Trump plan and that's the thing you know in RV the evening prayer we pray that the we shouldn't have the sat on melfin a no oh man ahora no right we shouldn't you know encounter like the evil forces of destruction before us or from behind us I feel like this came from behind us right it feel like it came in a very confusing way we were we were battling this idea of the two-state solution head-on buried it we buried it and now all of a sudden it's taking on a different mask well it was very well covered it's basically I feel it's like somebody took poison and wrapped it in a a candy of sugar called sovereignty and somebody took our dream of sovereignty and division and misused it and deformed it to push something else completely and that is if you realize this only when you actually read the Trump plan first they had all those loud beautiful bells and and parties Wow in Washington you know we're going to have sovereignty in a few days but nobody really read the documents and when you start reading the documents you understand that the entire purpose of this plan is the creation of a Palestinian state and we as a ideological movement we first of all oppose before I get into the details of of you know of the 30 percent 70 percent I don't I don't get into that first the first is the underlying premise what is the premise of this and it may I want to call two two sentences to the premise of this plan that's how it start introduction background Israelis and Palestinians have both suffered greatly from their long-standing and seemingly interminable lis conflict that's the first sentence okay and then Palestinians have aspirations that have not been realized including self-determination I'm quoting from a little bit further legitimate aspirations of the parties while the Palestinians have never had a state they have a legitimate desire to rule themselves and chart their own this destiny any workable peace agreement must address the Palestinians legitimate desire for self-determination this vision addresses these legitimate concerns through among other things the designation of territory for a future Palestinian state strengthening Palestinian institutions of self government providing Palestinians with the legal status and international standing of a state ensuring solid security arrangements for them and building an innovative network of roads bridges and tunnels that enables freedom freedom of movement for the Palestinians on and on I could tell you now many and you wake up or out of the blue all of a sudden here you can take this and you realize that everything they've been telling us is not is it that's not it at all and and I don't even know if President Trump is aware of it because at the very beginning so who wrote those words that's a good question I want to first give praise to President Trump for something because president Romney with all the introduction I gave you when finally President Trump came and declared loud and clear before this document came out that he acknowledges the fact that this land is biblical and belongs to the Jewish people we applauded him and the fact that the Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria are legal we applauded him we didn't I don't feel we many people say we have to say we can thank him but in the end he's not doing us a favor okay when he says that countries have interests have interests not only that and he is courageous and brave he wants to stand on the side of truth and justice he also knows that his constituency are Bible believing Christians who believe in this and know that this is the truth so President Trump stood on the right of truth and justice that is when that is when all of a sudden the shock was even more bigger when we started in the disbelief tell you off on a personal level oh during all of this moving of the embassy I was grateful we need to have hakarat hatov and recognized goodness yet at the same time very cautious because I know that Israel tends to are our Achilles heel is our friends Obama's on in power okay we know he's an adversary but when there's a friend in office I'm just waiting for the for the line look I've been more pro-israel than any president has ever been now you got to meet me halfway here here's a plan surrender and surrender meaning that's a really important word we're not and a deal and also it's a we don't make a deal on our homelands that is the message we had as a sovereignty movement we are now we are an ideological movement and so the premise basically here from what I read is there are two peoples here with the same standing and they both deserves the same the word I kept hearing there is legitimate legitimate legitimate apps and to me that's the end of the discussion meaning if I was asked to move my home three feet to the right and they would give me a million dollars I wouldn't do it because because it's about the premise of do I don't know what how why is it I want to get to the details again but I really have been wondering this why are Jews such pragmatists at our core were just pragmatists to the degree I don't mind being a pragmatist but now when it comes at the expense of truth and principle and justice and it seems like we're willing to say okay okay we'll sign the paper because they're never going to agree to that anyways why do I have to look at them in admiration that they stick to their principles and values uncompromising ly where we're willing to sign our names to something like this because they're not going to agree to what is that that's where you reach now the the paint film and a moment where we have reached where our friends on the right basically the right has now been split into two the pragmatists those who say what do you care take what you can now and anyway the apps are not going to be able to fulfill all their demands which there are many crazy not crazy very strict demands of the Arabs what you care just take first and and then no because I don't want to go into the details first is the premise the premise is that we are willing to sit down and discuss giving parts of our that is what we are asked to do we're asked to sit down agree with America the agreement and the vision is in front of the Americans that's what people don't understand and you basically commit yourself if you agree to this plan to sit down and to destroy are willing to discuss whatever is this is described here in this in this plan which is the division of Jerusalem giving away 70% of your homeland giving away large chunks of the Negev which we people forget I mean even in the Galil giving away all those areas and to in order to create a Palestinian state and we are saying we cannot agree to that so then they tell us ben-gurion ben-gurion agreed to take only part of it why can't you be as pragmatic and smart as he is so I not don't accept that this by the way is one of the primary contentions that I'm hearing from the pro-trump side is the ben-gurion yeah ben-gurion didn't have anything in his hand he he had nothing and he said what did he do he said I'll agree to the Partition Plan and but he made it very clear because that will be a first step to get everything and to continue and in fact he did he continued he sent Alameda a and he never said in order for the rest to become a Palestinian state because and but and the main thing is it didn't have anything in the sense people understand all of Judea and Samaria are not in our hands they're in our hands in the hands of Israel and when you give away 30 percent and you when you when you agree to take only 30 percent and you agree to even discuss the idea that the rest the 70 will be a Palestinian state you're not been going on your Yossi Beilin that's right that's what you are okay and a and it pains me because stop using that and say that you are been going on you are Yossi Beilin because you're giving it away willingly the fact and now now to be to become pragmatic let's be a pragmatic ideologue you're telling us that the apps I'm not going to fulfill all the strict demands in a year and a half we might have Bennigan's and bitin do you think those demands will be still pending the Bennigan's and by then we'll say forget about the demands the apps can have a state anyway and you agreed a year ago you agree to the principle now you're gonna say no meaning that's a pragmatic idea yeah that's what I answer to the pragmatist they don't want us to be ideologues so let's be pragmatic let's be pragmatic what are you gonna say in a year online I didn't really mean it no so so then the question is so what do we suggest so are we against sovereignty god forbid we want sovereignty it completely disconnected from the Trump plan from any commitment to a Palestinian state we want our prime minister to have the courage like Levi Eshkol and Menachem Begin who at the time had the courage to do things in defiance of what the Americans thought should be done and against the American will even Olmert who we don't like so much but even he had the courage to bomb the the right thing no yes when Bush was completely against it and we heard from UC Dagon that he was he spoke to somebody who was in the room then and Bush said at the time why he has courage to do something even though we don't agree and and they respected him people respect you if you do what is good for the interest of your country and that's our message particularly when America's head is spinning right now the country's in flames it's falling apart we have to be able to recalibrate our understanding of geopolitics and understand that we're actually a very strong and stable country and we don't need to be so terrified you know they're offering it to us right now who were they to offer us anything about our own land absolutely I wouldn't respect a country that that react into you and it is in their interest a Palestinian state is against not only the Israeli interest would be the suicide for Israel but also against the American interests you have been and the main thing is we have friends as you very well know representative Allen Clements and and that's who worked very hard to take out of the Republican platform the clause about a Palestinian state they made a holiday out of it and we praise them who is the person who revived the monster of the Palestinian state who is the person who came up with this crazy idea we don't know I don't have an answer to that do you have an intuition unfortunately Jerusalem well Kushner didn't Kushner we know he's the one who's pushing their line for the Arabs but I will say that we hear that Prime Minister Netanyahu also has his influence on this plan and the barrel and speech that we're coming out is tomorrow and two days I urge you all to get the Jerusalem Post you'll see in our new insert of the sovereignty Journal and former Minister of Transportation basella Smotrich basically says the Trump plan is a copy of the Bali Island speech and who knows how much influences repackaging so let me ask you about that Bibi Netanyahu as much as I often disagree with them I do have a feeling about him that he really does at least have the best interests of the Jewish people at heart disagree or agree I think so there are other people like a hallmark who I did not feel that way I felt it was very much about their own political career and taking pictures of Hollywood movie stars but what is he missing where is the flaw and his perspective on this he's a brilliant man why doesn't he see what is lately certainly has done so many good things and we have to also give thoda where we have to give today he has done a lot of good things but on this issue of sovereignty maybe I'm just guessing maybe he really doesn't want to deal with the 1.8 million Arabs and doesn't have the stamina and strength and courage to say that we we can keep our homeland and not create a Palestinian state I don't know I don't have the answer to that you'll have to let me ask you wave expert on psychology and on Bibi Netanyahu because he is that he's a pragmatist extraordinaire but what I what I admire about you the reason I'm always excited to hear you have to say is because you are an uncompromising ideologue that has that is also a pragmatist at the very same time but you're starting at a place of like this is this is truth now how do we pragmatically implement that truth and there is a way so that's my question to you I want to ask you Nadia Matar is Prime Minister Defense Minister I'm asking let's say that were to happen okay or you're the chief adviser to let's say that what is the plan you know what the first thing that needs to be changed is the consciousness is to basically you know they say that is Arab terror because they live in despair that's what they always say there's such despair by the Arabs that there is terror there's not despair there's hope as long as they have hope that they can get chunks of our homeland they will continue terror the first thing any Prime Minister has to do is to when he gets to his first speech to the nation he say the time has come to take away this question mark over this area and to declare a loud and clear the land of Israel between the sea and the Jordan River is one state for one people and we invite the non-jewish population who is here to be with us you cannot be at this moment residence it''s ins because we cannot have a situation where we give 1.8 million Arabs who now many of them are hostile but that's another topic we should discuss most of them are not believe me that most of them represent we have somebody we know from Jericho his name is Bassam Eid I'm sure you met him yeah of course I worked with him and his sentence is the best I prefer to be a resident under Israeli sovereignty than a citizen in a corrupt terrorist Palestinian state they don't even want citizenship so the way to apply sufferance away to it we first have to break the hope of that them ever getting a state from our I mean the packaging of that statement doesn't sound great break their hope you know I don't pack Ajith I'm just telling you this now that we have to yes we have to once and for all tell them clearly you're not going to have a state within the boundaries of which is smaller than the state of New Jersey between the sea and the Jordan River there's only one state the State of Israel now we can sit down and tell you how it's gonna be we're gonna bring here a couple more million Jews and anybody they did main idea is sovereignty means sovereignty between the sea and the Jordan River with a overwhelming majority the State of Israel will be with the overwhelming Jewish majority and a small non Jewish minority loyal to the State of Israel basically I think that Smotrich but solids motor is Minister of Transport previous one said it very well we will offer the Arabs different options you want to be with us and live with us and be a loyal residence volume a bohemian welcome you want to be you want to live in an Arab country you want to have your own IRA Prime Minister we're going to help you to leave and you're going to their residence do they have any sort of say do they have any sort of political clout do they have a way of advancing their interests as I told you no they're not gonna they're not going to get any national anyway of having any national self-determination as is described here they will have private rights like any other resonance but once and for all we have to crush this hope of theirs of getting national rights on our homeland that we have to say it very clear that's what the next Prime Minister will have to say to make it very clear and you know what most Arabs will agree to that they will accept that because let's divulge the big secrets and multi Kedar speaks about it all the time the Arabs don't want a state they want to live according to the Kamala that's their culture the culture is to live according to try the tribal culture they don't want a state they don't want to run their own lives and this whole idea of giving them a state is this distorted way of Westerners who think that bad that they know better than the ABS themselves I will never forget how in the early 90s during the Oslo agreements I used to used to demonstrate with women in green against the Oslo agreements and while lead from fatty knees the nearby village who worked in a fraud with whom we were in very good contact I'm talking about before the Oslo agreements were implemented before his village became area B he says Nadia I see you always with those signs against the Oslo agreements I wish you luck because if you don't succeed then my village will become area B and those people and foreign Arab leaders will become my leaders I mean what is the Oslo agreements the Austria architects came and took terrorists from outside of Israel put on them how to call it an IVA it's high of when and forced them on the local Arab population meaning the PA this this the Palestinian Authority was an invention of the Oslo architects and the first thing that they were the first harm they did before they killed Jews they harmed their local air population who's dreaming of getting rid of them so when they and that's what they're saying now the same savers from the Palestinian Authority corrupt murderous etc and apply sovereignty and we will to sovereignty means responsibility will take responsibility for those areas we will give them private rights human rights whatever they need they will be able to vote for their local mayor etc as long as the it will be mayors who will be loyal to the State of Israel the way I see this with with an Israeli flag and the name of the of the arab village is a good paradigm of this Druze it will take years we have to understand we have to first clean off all the Oslo poison that has been given over to them for years I'll be very upfront with you those people we talked with are in their 40s 50s and they all want sovereignty the younger generation who don't remember what it is to be under Israeli rule maybe you know are more connected to Hamas and to terror groups etc we'll have to clean up the whole area but one thing is for sure Israeli sovereignty means Israeli responsibility control over the whole area we'll make it clear that this is our land and that anybody who respects the rules will be will have a good life the others who want to be terrorists will not have a good life what does that mean well not have a good life they will be thrown out of the country who wants to live under Israeli sovereignty we'll have to have some kind of proxy there's a process and I think Moshe Feiglin was talking about like an eight-step process of failing and but I'm asking about Yatta right the village of yata that re Folds murderer came out of that so many murderers and terrorists have come out of that celebrating the streets what hap to that village before anything happens to yatta the PA has to be dismantled the moment the PA will be dismantled you see how things will change the moment you will make your the hand of the law felt everywhere things will change it will not only change in Judea Samaria and in yata it will change I'm not gonna go into the resolution now of how it's gonna work that you need the experts who will who will kiss in my debates and discussions it often goes there I want to have an answer to that even if that answer means transfer meaning if they are not willing to say I want to live here as a loyal citizen throw them out of the country I don't first of all and anybody who doesn't want to live here will certainly help them to go that's a better way of saying and what you just said you will help them to leave anybody who wants to continue to have terror terrorists are not gonna stay here to say any other why do we need to okay we don't need to get into the details I don't know why we need to help them to leave why we can't say throw them out against their will terrorists yes but there's many others who maybe want to leave to Europe who should help help them to leave in Gaza there's so many people want
