Rabbi Reuven reveals an important lesson from the Sages in Masechet Rosh Hashanah 16, that a person's parnasa that is decreed for them also includes how much enjoyment they will get during the year: If a person engages in forbidden pleasures like smoking weed or wasting seed, they will lose from kosher enjoyment they were suppose to get.
