iPad 4 the new iPad with retina display late 2012 unboxing and setup video

hey everyone good morning this is david here in my home studio we're going to be doing today a live unboxing of the new ipad 4. i've never had an ipad and i got it for um for the band and for the dj company so we could load all of our sheet music i probably have about i'd say at least 10 000 or more pages of sheet music and boxes in the basement i'm always looking around for sheet music i'm going to put it all right here on the ipad and then also same with our dj company all of our music we're going to load straight onto the ipad so hopefully this will be our center for all things music for sheer soul and let's check it out right now nice small box a little knife there we go there it is ipad and you got it right here looking cool let's take a look inside cut open this plastic a little bit this minimalistic packaging is very common for apple we got the wi-fi version here 64 gigabytes for maximum storage and capacity for songs and sheet music and applications i'm going to open it up here bam kind of heavy it's my first impression i haven't really played much with an ipad see what else is in the box before we go to the ipad itself we got our little designed in california by apple designed by apple in california we got our little lightning connector which is new for the fourth generation ipad and our little wall wart charger perfect leave that for after and to the ipad itself a little engraving on it says david ross and shear soul right up there looks like it might be a little crooked but i'll deal with that and then we'll just peel this off this one off and there it is ipad 4. see the lightning connector on the bottom engraving on the back one doesn't look crooked now a little apple logo you got your five megapixel camera here one megapixel front camera home button and looks very nice got to get a case for it but i'm actually waiting to see if i can get a case that will be custom for the lightning connector and that would be nice so anyway we're going to use the power button here and turn it on see a little apple comes on see how quick this thing loads up probably left it with some power but i bet you need to charge it also check out all the power specs afterwards this thing is supposed to get about 10 hours of battery life which is amazing for a long flight we're going to la in a couple weeks or a month or so for a wedding so that'll be nice so you hear it says ipad just configure right here and we're going to start our configuration gives you a bunch of language choices choose english united states country region that's good choose a network it's going to choose our home network oh it's going to ask me for the password i will put in incorrect password what's the password for the home network also incorrect password well maybe i need to go back and find the password for the home network because right now i don't know what oh i bet you i do know it you know what let's try this um i bet you it is we got it all right we're in sorry about that so we're into our home network and then connect to itunes i suppose we could do that later as for right now it's connecting to the home network let's just go to next activating your ipad location services max another app together and use data so let's enable that that'll be good and then choose to set up as a new ipad or store from a backup all right so let's set it up as a new ipad we can load on our other applications and stuff like that later your apple id let's sign in with our apple id our apple id should be my email address see how that works okay that lets us in we'll agree to the terms and conditions may take a few minutes to set up your apple id more than likely knowing apple it'll be quick icloud stores your photos and apps let's use icloud hit next use icloud to backup your ipad daily over wi-fi sure if you misplace your ipad 5 my ipad can help sure use find my ipad let me use this thing already people can contact you by imessage and facetime let the people reach you only at let's have them reach us only at musicju musicjew hotmail.com oh no this is the one okay next siri we could use siri register with apple good let's register that you're ready to start using the ipad let's do start using ipad and here we are just those apps right now looks very good the retina display looks excellent and uh beautiful thing i think we just need to get into it start using it and start loading up some of our applications to get going start loading our sheet music for shear soul and we hope you enjoyed that video visit us at shearsould.com and subscribe on our youtube channel below and have a great day you
