INSIDE A JEWISH TRAVEL SHOW ✈️ ✡️

Today I attended the second annual JetCon, which is a Jewish travel-themed trade show and conference, which took place at Bell Works in Holmdel, New Jersey. I got there pretty early in the day, before lunchtime, and I started networking immediately, had some sushi. There was also a bar with alcohol, which I did not partake in because it makes me unproductive during a work day, and did some more networking. In my industry, it's very important to get to know new people, new brands. I was talking to airline executives, to my favorite travel agency Lalechet, and of course the different hotel groups. Eventually, it came time for dinner, and I saw these massive steaks coming out. Now, I'm trying to watch what I eat, then I realized I was about to lose control. Okay, guys, we're here at JetCon. I want to show you something. Look at the size of these steaks. Look at these gigantic steaks. And the whole line. Everybody's waiting for fleish. I'm walking out, I'm not having a drop of it. I'm going to Lakewood, and I'm going to eat fish. So, I jumped into my car and drove to Lakewood, which is about a half hour away. I sat down at a quiet restaurant and ordered a piece of mesquite grilled cod on a bed of rice pilaf with a little bit of coleslaw. Thank God, today I chose long-term discipline over short-term gain. That is a big win. I felt like it was a healthy meal, and it was a great day.
