INKREDIBLE KIDS: Shavuos Inspiration With R' Daniel Glatstein

Tonight we are joined for a second coming of Rabbi Danielle Glatstein from New York from um the five towns. Rabbi Gladstein was so inspiring the last time he came and such an interesting rabbi and speaker for all ages. So every single one of us are so lucky to get to experience Rabbi Gladstein for a second time. I think the first time he came on was well over a year ago. I said this the last time he came on, I think. I don't remember, but I definitely was thinking it or maybe I said it on camera or off. I don't remember. But my grandfather loved to learn Torah and he loved to learn Torah from people who lived Torah. Like he liked to learn from people who had a lot of nice things to say, but he liked to learn from people who when they taught Torah, they lit up, you know, like those are the kind of people he liked to learn Torah from. And I found out that he used to go to Rabbi Gladstein's Shirim many years ago. Um, and he would go in his audience and just um, my Saba would sit in the audience. And at one time he was at Rabbi Gladstein's Shir apparently. I didn't know. And I was watching Rabbi Gladstein on Torah Anytime. Anyone here know what Torah Anytime is? It's a website where you can watch tons of different Torah classes. I see Ellie knows. Okay. Anyways, Rabbi Gatsian has a lot of sher on there. And one time I was listening to one of his sharim while I was doing something and all of a sudden I heard my grandfather ask a question in the audience. You only heard his voice and I was like, "Oh, this is so funny. We're we're both at the same shear basically almost at the same time. I knew his voice." Um, so I feel like I feel like I am honoring my grandfather when I bring Rabbi Gladstein onto the Tahelm Army program because I know how much he loved his Torah. So, this is a really, really holy time and I'm so excited for Rabbi Gladstein to be able to prepare us for this yantiff in a joyful way. Um, so Rabbi Gladstein, I'm gonna It says I have to ask you to start your video. Oh, there you are. There you are. There you are. How Oh, I felt such deja vu. And actually today we're going to do something really amazing. We're going to have an experiment a shuous experiment. Okay? You see this? You know what this is? This is called honey. Honey. Because I know a lot of people have a minhug to have dairy on sh but many don't know that actually the earliest source in the Tyra that we're supposed to have dairy on shuis connects it with dairy with milk and honey. And the reason is because tyra is so delicious. It's compared to milk and it's compared to honey. Actually, two of the most delicious tastes in the world. Not ketchup. I see somebody has ketchup out there. Ketchup is pretty delicious, but not as delicious as honey. Actually, two of the most delicious tastes are milk and honey. But if you could combine both milk and honey, that produces the most delicious taste in the world. And the Torah is compared to milk and honey. I'm gonna share with you something incredible for you incredible kids. Anybody know, can we make this um a little interactive? Anybody know the very first letter in the whole Tory? The very first letter in the Torah. How do we do this? Here was raising her hand. Okay. What's the first letter in the Torah? Okay, pretty close. What's the first letter in the Kish? It's because of the air. They're very high altitude. Yeah. What's What's the last letter in the Kish? Um, tough. Okay, that's the last letter in the the the Hebrew alphabet. So, we got the B is the first letter. Come Zade. We got the B as the first letter. We got the lammed as the last letter. Now let's talk about the middle letters in the middle letters. Yes, whipped cream is also pretty good, but not as good as milk and honey. What? Good. Excellent. Very good. And right next to that is whipped cream is pretty good. Not as good as honey. And what else? Next to the I'm going to give you a little hint is above. Okay. Now, let's take the two middle words of the Tory. Anybody know the two middle words of the Tory? How are they all thinking they know that? Like, how would you even guess that, everybody? Anybody know? Maybe maybe uh I think knows. Let's see. Yeah. The two middle words of the Tory. Oh, it was that one. I'm going to give you a little hint right now. I'm going to tell you the two middle words are dro. So you take the shin, the final shin of dar and the first dalid of darash. Those are also the two middle words of the Tyra. So meaning if we would take the first letter of the Torah, the last letter of the Tory and the middle letters of the Torah, which are and vavv if you take it in letters or and shin if you take it in words, it spells out honey and milk to show that the Torah is dripping with honey and milk. Honey and milk. Now, we're going to do a little experiment now because actually, you know what country I just came back from? The name of the country is Bellarus. Do you know what city is in Bellarus? Raden. Anybody here know which great sadic was buried is buried in Raden? Anybody know which great sadic is buried in Raden? NB and Lakewood. What do you say? Wow. The Yes. I just came back from the And the says something you cannot believe. Says, "We're going to do an experiment now. You see this honey? I'm pouring it into the cup." You see how it's filling the cup? It is so delicious. It's even better than whipped cream. Did you know that this honey, it looks nice and sweet? Did you know it's the most powerful food in the world? Do you know if you put bread in honey and you soak it there long enough, it will completely dissolve and turn into honey? Yeah. Honey is actually the most powerful food in the world, it could dissolve anything. Did you know that if you put meat into honey and you left it there long enough, it will dissolve and it will turn into honey? And if you eat the honey, you won't be fleshik because the honey transformed the meat into honey. But then the says, and don't do this at home, but this is actually if you take something tra and you put it in honey, it will turn into honey and you could eat it because honey is the most powerful food in the world. It could transform even something very uh not kosher. says the reason why the Tory is compared to honey is because the Tory is so powerful that if a person learns Tyra and immerses himself in Tyra and connects to Tyra the the honey of Tyra will transform you that even if let's say you know you have some things you need to fix up and you need to work on and you need to improve if you immerse yourself into the honey of Tyra the honey of Torah will transform you into to the sweetest, most incredible person. That's one of the reasons why the Torah is compared to honey. So on Shivus, aside from your dairy, don't forget the Tory is also compared to honey. And that tells us the power of Tyra. And it's a great honor to be here tonight. I really Oh, I like it. There you go. He has his honey and milk all ready for the of Rafi Gotautly. Very good. Perfect. So I wish you all we should all have the great privilege of connecting oursel to the Torah of Hashem and the Torah should elevate all of us and transform all of us into the sweetest most incredible kids that we all could be. And I think what that what your devar Torah and what what you just taught us um part of what's so amazing about what you just taught us is the fact that Torah includes what you just said. Meaning everything you just told everyone is Torah. And it's the type of Torah that you might be surprised. Meaning like I saw everyone's faces. They were all their eyes were wide and open like is this a science class? Is this like is this true? Right? Like what is this? And yet it's all part of Torah. And that's what's so amazing. The more you learn about it and it's so sweet and it's so enjoyable. And sometimes we're not maybe exposed to the parts of Torah that make us the most happy at all, you know, just different ways at Torah, different parts of it, what we learn in school. But Torah is so much greater than anything that you think, you know. So that's it's one of I don't know. I just had that thought while you were talking about the sweetness of Torah is the fact everything that you just shared is so sweet in itself. like that was so interesting and that was Torah.
