In this week's #Torah portion from #Exodus #Moses comes down from #Sinai to discover the #GoldenCalf

When Moses climbed up to the highest heights on the mountain for 40 days and nights, as a gift he received two tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God alone. But when he came down from Mount Sinai, Moses could hardly believe his eyes. He threw down the tablets, smashed in half, cuz the people were bowing to a golden calf. It happened on the 17th of Tammuz. That day has never been a good day for the Jews. Like a bruise on the year, nothing but bad news. I got those 17th of Tammuz blues.
