Important Message from Police Chief Rob Lawson 2015

hello this is Chief Rob lson of the Lakewood Police Department with an important safety message regarding the upcoming yff this coming Sunday 9113 on ER of rashash Shana we know the township will be very busy and filled with people doing their last minute holidays shopping uh as such we will have increased patrols out to uh assist pedest ran uh on the following day the first day of rashishana on September 14th for tashli we will have crossing guards out to assist people crossing especially down to Lake haris Salo in the evenings we'll have increased patrols out uh especially within the Orthodox communities doing burglary re details I'm sure you probably are aware that there's been a spike in burglaries in Lakewood um we have Enlisted the assistance uh of the sheriff department Sheriff Master Nardi has been very gracious in assisting us with increased uh patrols and also um officers on burglary details uh and this will continue throughout the holiday please be sure if you're going out if you have an alarm set it we've had a number of burglaries where people have had alarms in cameras and they have not been active and that possibly would have uh solved quite a few of these burglaries so be sure lock your doors secure your windows lock your car doors if not you're just inviting somebody to steal your property cuz a lot of these crimes are just crimes of opportunity um that being said um I'd like to wish everybody a lan TOA and all the best for a very happy and sweet new new year thank you very much
