Important message from DPW Director Patrick Donnelly

Lakewood Township Public Works. Patrick Donnelly, director. On Sunday, October 16th and Sunday, October 23rd, to accommodate the high probability of some residents putting out trash and receptacles ahead of the prospective holidays, we are going to be adding for a one-time only two pickup dates, which will not replace the normal pickup dates. This is only for zones one and two, but this will supplement them and avoid the possible health issues which may result from trash being left out for long periods of time. With that said, please do not put out anything other than the normal 95gallon trash containers. No bolt. All must understand we cannot guarantee that we are going to be able to get to all stops in this short time frame. This pickup will start as early as 7:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. This will be used as a training tool for our soon tobe second and third shifts being implemented in the new year. With the everchanging growth within Lakewood, we must prepare for a larger operation. Our services must evolve with the growth so we may be prepared for this moving forward.
