I'm just curious how did you guys hear about Ura you have to watch the video watch the video to find out no we got we got a postcard and it said come to the concert and that was 15 years [Music] ago hi I'm Marcy Gutman My name is D Gutman My name is r and I go to RJ and I'm 8 years old my name is Sara and I'm an rgj and I'm 10 years my name isman I'm 13 I go to RJ my name isob I'm in my I go to Sten Island I'm from Staten Island group very traditional after we had gotten married we weren't religious to my husband's credit he was in search he was in search for the meaning of life it was his questioning that led us into the right direction Jewish direction we received a postcard in the mail and it was the Hanukah concert you know the annual Hanukah concert of Ura we were sitting by the concert the singers they touched me because my inima was like on fire and all of a sudden I see all these bck and like get up and start dancing and like I sat there and I looked like in every direction and I said I don't care if anybody sees me but I'm about to start crying like I said God I want boys just like this like I don't know what I have to do to get this but like I'm ready meanwhile like there's a lot to do to get this had but the concert had a great big sign that said want to Tate my husband sees us he's like oh my prayers have been answered him my original uh my original kabu said that R and AA set us up and I was soon after learning with ala we went to them for shabas and just to see how they conducted their shabas table and you know spoke to their kids I used to bring home my Crea sheets to my my mom and dad and I used to help them not help them but I used to like teach them how to read Hebrew I think it was Shamar like 2008 and we actually walked over to yiva Staten Island my husband walked in there's so many men around him just like flocking and asking him like who are you where you're from what could we do to help you he met his shabas Tor mate of 15 years right by beater he just felt the love the love that like another yid sees for another yid my grand mother is my unofficial Torah mate at night usually I go and learn with a b and Sh is right over here and we learn my MOA approached me and said do you want to be my Torah mate so we officially became Torah mates and Mary and I have been learning for 11 years these are professional Learners these are professional people that know how to serve Hashem the best way possible truthfully this is a mistake when I wanted to start covering my hair my husband was a bit nervous he's like didn't think I owned my religiousness yet for so many years I'm going on like the the um of the noay of him saying like you know I don't think you can do it when I'm like I'm going to prove him wrong meanwhile not too long ago he told me I only said it because I knew you would do it I'm like you're part of Ura you have a lot of family we're going to Ura yeah that's right we're enjoying the last days of PES at Ur I went to the zone for suus it was really fun you always feel like you're part of like one big huge family when we would see R men on occasion he was always so proud that we were achieving and growing as a Jewish Family and he was actually the sandic for our Second Son Yakov and it was really a special moment this is your little star family the gutterman's wishing everybody a good [Laughter] when I was 3 years old I went to Little Star and I was one of like seven or eight kids I went to Little Star went to Little Star I remember lots of things I remember I remember um morea's Mac and cheesy was the best I I also have one more thing to say about remember my teacher Madina Moses when my youngest y was graduating Little Star I wanted a special picture just to hang up in my house of all of my children you know and my husband and I standing next to ra Min and I turned to RAB Min I said RAB Min you helped us these are sorry I'm going to cry these are your grandchildren [Music] I can honestly say like when I watch my children and my boys dance on Zim Torah now like I understand like what I asked Hashem for it doesn't come like in a second anything that's good you have to work hard for you have to put in your effort and I asked for it and I and I got [Music] it the last 15 years years Ura has been a part of our Lives helping us guiding us whether my husband and I are learning with our Torah mates or our children went through Little Star Jewish preschool we really would have not grown this far if it wasn't for Ura and R they held our hand through Judaism knowing what Hashem wants from all of us is a is a pathway to uh to finding happiness and finding AEM [Music]
