I TOOK AN UBER DRIVER TO DINNER!!! (Finale)

[Music] okay so here's what i want to do take an uber to a restaurant and when i get to the restaurant i'm going to ask uber driver to join me for lunch or dinner whoever does it will get 500. thank you so it looks like we got a driver you want to join me for lunch jeffrey i thought we had something nice going on what happened would you be willing to come in with me for lunch [Music] okay that was a complete non-starter and not to be doing it okay i was too hungry to continue doing this on an empty stomach it's raining outside so i'm glad to be in the car are you hungry i really hope this one works out i'm not getting my hopes up because i've been rejected too many times i would love to take you out for dinner man this is turning out way harder than i thought it would be [Music] funny i am looking to take someone out to dinner would you like to come out with me i've already spent 100 uber trying to do this i've gotten nowhere should i give up i don't know what to do i feel like going maybe i'll do this for another hour and after that uh i think we're gonna call it a day okay i'm adopting a new strategy i've gotten rejected eight times and every one of these times was on this side of the big boulevard so in judaism we have a concept called meshana mukum it means that if you change your location you can also change your luck i'm gonna go to the other side of the street and try to order an uber from there who knows maybe i'll have better luck so we're gonna try right now to order another uber i believe this is number nine and we'll see what happens wish me luck okay so jose my ninth driver is on the way and there's a problem that i didn't anticipate which is my phone battery is at three percent and i don't have a second battery pack so that means that i'm either gonna have to go into a store and charge it for a few minutes which is gonna take some precious time out of the project or i can just call it a night and take an uber back home we're going to try it again hopefully jose will be willing to do it hello hello good evening you hungry yeah man i've been wanting to do a really good deed today would you come out with me to dinner no no that's it why not uh i need money bro okay driver number nine i think his name was jose he said no but i came really close to convincing him i kept telling him that i took nine drivers before him i would love to go and he kept saying i want to come but i need to make money take money and i told him trust me you will not regret it and he said no but i need to make money i need to make money and i'm thinking to myself i have the money just go out with me but he said no the phone's at 2 i don't think it's going to handle more than one more ride but at the moment i just ordered another one driver number 10. his name is yoel which usually means that that's a jewish guy because it's a jewish name maybe jewish guy will be less afraid of me because he's also jewish i don't know i'm not sure what it is but i'm i have a good feeling about this one please please hashem please make this one work i literally flew in from new jersey for this and spent all day trying to make this happen nothing going on we're talking like i don't know since it's four in the morning now it's 9 30 p.m so please please please please god please hashem let this be the one you know let's make someone stay hey y'all speak english no no english no okay i've been rejected ten times now i'm back at the post office we're trying in 11th time my phone is at one percent so it's not going to be able to go more than this there's a guy named awesome i already took 10 drivers and every single one said no i need to work oh brother that's what they say yeah so i told myself we're going to try one more the 11th driver yes so jonathan will you go out to dinner with me why you want to do it let me ask you if you don't mind so i'll be honest with you i'm a youtuber yeah and i'm filming a video okay and i challenged myself to take to do this i want to have a beautiful interaction with a complete stranger okay what about if we invite my girlfriend you would be okay with that sure it would be great because i'm not an actual uber i'm a chef let me tell you yeah chef yes really that's what i do for life and it would be interesting i don't mind to help you but when when this is going to happen right now right now it's kind of hard for me if you set it up an appointment and you let me know i'm making it happen see i flew in from from new jersey special for this i'm going back tomorrow morning so i would like to help you and go marina tex-mex so burgers burritos all sorts of stuff okay are you willing to do it okay you serious i will i mean listen and afterwards i'm gonna afterwards i'll order i'll order an uber and you can drive me you can be my driver i need to go to aventura after well uh i don't know if they would give me that i don't know okay that's out of my hand give it give me the job or give it to somebody else but do that because probably they started working and all right that's why i feel like you're you're so special because you you're um very what's the word absolutely spontaneous you're cool you're spontaneous you're ready to do it i thought about it for a minute not that really busy out there what the hell i wanted to know i really appreciate really appreciate the fact you came out and i know it is and there's no business europe is closed south america is closed and that's what we depend on here hospitality zero is practically zero struggling like you believe yeah it's i'm not the only one for sure everyone has trouble seeing a lot of them they sold their cars it's that bad yeah i mean i looked at other taxi drivers and than i am you got big families you can't pay the medallion or you know pay that company you just gave it up hopefully things will get better very very soon and then everyone will make a lot of money thank you so much for coming out absolutely it was really caught up with what we're doing that we forget to see and interact with the world around us but when we make sure to open up our eyes our hearts and our minds something beautiful is bound to happen
