I Don't Need You.....

I don't need you. I really don't need you. I'm fine. There's a problem. I do need you. I do need you, but I can't say that to me. It's too painful. You know who I need? I need me. In fact, I can't trust you. And if I can't trust my mother or father, I can't trust anybody in the world. I'll never trust another person again. And I know always to come back to me. I'm the only one I can trust. And I grow up in a posture, and what's that posture? You're all going to betray me. I will not put my eggs in this basket. I will rely only on myself. I will be extremely hyper-vigilant in every relationship. I will never allow my heart to soften and be really vulnerable and crack open because there's a danger in that.
