How To Stop Lashon Har'a

What's a good way to confront people without getting into into much trouble when they're randomly making fun of random people? Uh well, let me know. That depends. That depends what uh what are they Who are they making fun of? Who are they? Sometimes the best thing to do is to change the topic by uh tell people you guys ever hear the story of such and such? I always tell people that they should learn uh Sifrei Tzaddikim, the stories of Tzaddikim, to always have one that uh you're ready to tell. So, as soon as there's a situation like this, which uncomfortable situation, you could just change the conversation completely by saying, "Hey, did you ever hear the story about uh the Baal Shem Tov with the with the horse?" Oh, no. Okay. And start telling it. Even though it has nothing to do with what they were just saying. He was just busy making fun of somebody because of their weight, because of their financial situation, because of whatever. Tell them the story. Change the subject. It's usually the easiest and best thing to do.
