What if the things that make life harder are actually the things that make life better? At an Elul event with Zusha, I shared a story from my time in Denali, Alaska, where I met a camper who absolutely loved sleeping out in the wilderness — surrounded by bears and all. When I asked him why he enjoyed camping that way, his answer made me think about something much bigger: maybe life is most real when it isn’t easy. The challenges, the uncertainty, the things that push us out of our comfort zone — those aren't necessarily interruptions to life. They may be what make life meaningful.
