The Real Reason Iran Can’t Stand Jews

I like to share a little message to the people [music] watching this in bunkers right now or to the people going to sleep in a bomb shelter or to the people running out of a wedding to go shelter somewhere safe. Here's a little fire for you. Everything about it for a minute. What exactly is Iran's issue with us? We are thousands of miles away from them. We're not on their border. We're not invading their country. We're not bothering them and yet they're spending billions of dollars decade [music] after decade building missiles whose entire purpose is to destroy us. For over 40 years [music] the Iranian regime has poured tens of billions of dollars into one mission. Destroy Israel. They fund groups [music] like Hezbollah with roughly $700 million a year and they built missile programs where a single ballistic missile can cost [music] around a million dollars. Think about that for a second. A million dollars per missile fired again and again and again. Billions spent over [music] decades all aimed at one tiny country the size of New Jersey. The scale of the obsession is almost hard to [music] comprehend. Why? What exactly is their problem with the Jewish people? The answer is deeper than politics. The answer is deeper [music] than territory. It's deeper than any headline you'll see in the news. At the heart of it is belief. They believe that we are no longer God's chosen people. They are. But the question is if that's what they believe, fine. Why not just believe [music] it and move on? Why this centuries-long obsession with trying to annihilate the Jewish people? Why this endless [music] hatred? The answer is because deep down they know the truth. That Hashem's loving unbreakable bond with us [music] lives on and they can't stand that. They hate us because we are a living reminder that they are wrong. Every Jew walking this earth, every yeshiva bachur, every seminary [music] girl, every Jewish college kid, every balabusta, every bubby and zaidy is a billboard advertising [music] Hashem's love towards the Jewish people. That's why our existence drives them insane. It's not politics or land or power. It's that we are still here, still chosen, still thriving and every day we learn openly, we live openly with Torah and raise our families with mitzvahs, we celebrate Shabbos is a message they can't handle. Their entire belief system collapses in the face of our lives. Our existence itself testifies to a covenant, a destiny, [music] a relationship with Hashem that has never disappeared despite thousands of years of attempts to erase [music] us. And in the minds of fanatics, that reality is unbearable because if the Jewish people still exists, then we are still the chosen people. And each Jew is a reminder of that. So in their distorted thinking, the only way [music] to prove themselves right is to remove the reminder, to remove us. But here's the thing. When you're sitting in a shelter and you hear those missiles [music] overhead, when the sirens scream and the ground shakes, it's easy to feel fear. But never forget. Those missiles have two messages written on them. On the one side of the missile, there's a message from Iran. It [music] says, "You are not the chosen people. You don't belong here. We will destroy you. We are the chosen people." And on the other side [music] of that missile, there's another message. A message not written by Iran. A message written by God. And you know what it says? [music] It says, "Am Yisrael." Be strong. Be proud. Hold your head high. Don't sit there trembling in shame or fear. Stand [music] tall in who you are. Be proud with your connection to Hashem. It's real. Be proud that you're the greatest story ever told. [music] Be proud that after thousands of years of exile, persecution, and war, you're still here, still [music] alive, still building, still believing, still keeping the world afloat. If others cannot tolerate [music] that, that says something about them, not about you. So the next time >> [music] >> the siren screams, the next time the missiles fall, don't forget to read the other side of the missile. Not the fear, faith, pride, strength. Every missile aimed at us only [music] proves one thing. We cannot be erased. We are alive. We are unbroken. We are Am Yisrael. Stand tall. Stand proud. Hold your head high. Bow to no one and remember this. The God who carried us through fire and exile and war is carrying us now. And as long as he carries us, we rise, [music] we sing, we shine, we are unbreakable, unshakeable, unstoppable. We >> [music] >> are Klal Yisrael.
