What The Creator Sees When You Light Those Candles…

In our generation, a small act that a person does, a small mitzvah that a person does, a small mitzvah putting on tefillin, keeping Shabbat. And right now, I'm speaking to all those who keep Shabbat and struggle, not to the Haredim. For the Haredim, it's easy to keep Shabbat. I'm talking to all the young men, the young guys, you know, those for whom it's hard. Families that aren't religious and parents who aren't religious. [music] When you accept, when you have taken Shabbat upon yourself. My dear and noble lady, do you truly know how much radiant light and supreme delight the creator of the world graciously receives from the humble and small act of kindness that you do? If you knew how much you are worth in the eyes of the Holy One, blessed be He, you would have the strength to overcome the whole world, to conquer the whole world, to cross mountains, [music] to break through walls. Anything you want to do in life, but it depends on one thing. Do you appreciate [music] what you are doing, or do you not appreciate what you're doing?
