Things are happening today in our holy land, the land of Israel, that the Torah would describe as to'eivah, abomination. Now, this should give us pause for thought because in Parshat Shelach, when Yeshua and Calev returned from spying out the land, they say, "The land is very, very good." And in the next verse, they continue, "If Hashem desires, he'll bring us into his land and give it to us." But immediately afterwards, they warned, "Only do not rebel against Hashem." The land is indeed very, very good when we live as the Torah asks us to live. And then, the land becomes a source of blessing and elevation to us. But when we distance ourselves from Hashem, then the land itself can turn around and eject us, as it says in the Torah, "Let not the land vomit you out for defiling it as it vomited out the nation that was before you." Eretz Israel, the land of Israel, is not merely a land. It's a catalyst. And whether it raises us up or spits us out, God forbid, depends on our relationship with the one who gave us this [music] land. Do not rebel against Hashem. We often place our hopes in political leaders, military strength, alliances, and diplomatic agreements, and these may have all their place, but ultimately, they're not our protection. Our protection only comes from Hashem, Ish Milchamah, Hashem, the master of war.
