The Evil Eye Only Hurts Its Owner?
It’s not about what they do to you—it’s about the internal state of the person projecting that negativity. If you’re ever dealing with someone like this, the best move is to notice it, protect your peace, and keep doing good. Person with the evil eye gets it the
worst. Let me explain. In Mishlei it
says "Tov ayin hu y'varech" or the the
person with a good eye will be blessed.
It goes on to say because he's going to
do good deeds like giving of his bread
to the poor. I hear a lot of talks about
"Oh, I'm not doing this because of the
evil eye" and "I'm not doing that
because of the evil eye." But here's
another way to look at it. Again,
Mishlei says "Nivhal lahon ish ra ayin"
or panicked for money or wealth is a
person with an evil eye. So, the person
only has an evil eye because they're
already doing bad internally anyway. And
they're just expressing that evil eye
towards you because they have their own
problems going on. But that doesn't mean
you should have just not care about
somebody having an evil eye. What it
means is if somebody has an evil eye,
you take note and you just avoid that
person cuz whatever bad that they're
seeing is going to come upon them and
you by having a good eye and doing good,
you'll avoid it and get good for
yourself.
