yeah okay you know what here let's go from verse number we'll go fromi let's uh let's uh see what we can get done um so again we P we've got very very poetic language over here very uh it's very impure and something which comes out of something pure is pure which means that if you want to drink milk it's got to come out of a kosher animal that soap can be kosher is that way like detergent can being sold has got some kind of a heure on it um but yeah I maybe maybe that's the idea that I think I think maybe you can't make cream uh maybe you can't make butter out of uh out of sheep's milk um there's a lot of everything everything is very fat everything is very you know abundance oh an abundance of everything right but what what's the problem so here verse number 15 is very telling what happened which is a name for the Jewish Nation they became fat what does it mean became fat that they materialistically they became very successful and they kick right so they kick against who hem against Hashem right a theme that we've spoken about on many occasions in the past but the better it's a paradox but the better things are the less attached we are to our right I mean it's just it's human nature unfortunately that the the better things are the more we imagine that we can manage without Hashem and as things start getting worse so then we start finding our relationship again again were and he starts rebuilding his relationship with and then at that point Eli comes back and he says look he says I'm prepared to give you back the wealth that you had but you need to always remember where it came from it's a very it's a very basic lesson it really is but it's a lesson that we don't really pay very much attention to we just don't true you know we think that we're doing great if we're doing great then I can you know I can manage right right that we're talking about they're going to start what are you going to be doing you're going to be worshiping Idols right gods that aren't aren't uh gods that we have any connection to with the gods that have just been made up now nobody's familiar with them it doesn't matter we'll worship anything right right you ignored the rock that's that gave you everything and you're going to forget the God who brought you into being right you hear you hear what's the point I tell you like this I I don't know I'm I'm going to say something which Maybe it's a little bit radical but if a person wants to not believe in anything don't believe in God at all maybe that's easier in the eyes of God here you've got somebody over here who was attached to a and then what happens he becomes become he becomes materially very successful and then what happens he starts losing his Direction and he starts worshiping Idols so we can perhaps we can begin to appreciate now the extent of a kish's anger when something like that happens right because what what what do we want you know if you want to get up with I don't believe in anybody at all so you're not transferring that belief to something that doesn't have any basis to it right but if you get up and you say I don't believe in God anymore but I'm going to believe in this tree or I'm going to believe in this this St this statue or I'm going to believe in this thing over here so what what are you doing you're saying that well that's not good enough for me I want this one instead that's already a different kind of a level of betrayal and IST has more of a less of a chance being punished by God there that's what you're saying no I'm you know what the say like this I'm talking about a very specific case of a person who believed in God and then stops believing so if he stops believing in any kind of a any kind of a god alog together I think he's in better shape than somebody who leaves God and starts worshipping an idol an atheist in general it's the other way around right so somebody who hasn't had a connection with God and you know who chooses not to believe in God is further removed than somebody who believes in Idols because at least somebody believes in Idols understands there's some kind of a god there they just don't know who it is right it's a little bit subtle because it they they switch with each other here verse number 19 God's going to get angry and he's going to right what's he doing he's going to get angry with who with us surprise surprise yeah verse number 20 I'm going to I'm going to hide my face from them and then we'll see then we'll see what's going to be with them which me like this you don't you don't want to recognize me that's fine but if you don't recognize me let's see what's going to be with you how do you think you're going to survive for one second without the recognition that I'm God and you need to have that relationship right a generational reversals that that children aren't going to be brought up properly which means they're going to be there's going to be a general a general disintegration of everything that we believe in that they they're angering Me by worshiping something which is not it's not Divine there's no God over here you're talking about worshiping Idols it's not that's no good and they angered me with their vanities the gumar says like this when you when you not you when one worship idols you're really worshiping yourself right why because what do you do when you worship idols what are you doing you're worshiping whatever you need at that moment so if you need rain you worship the god of rain you need sun you worship the god of sun if you need you know a harvest you worship the god of harvest whatever it is that's why in Pagan cultures there are masses and masses of different gods go back into ancient Greece and ancient Rome and they there were gods and semi goods and demigods and who knows what right and and uh where where does all of that come from it comes from being having the necessity to worship whatever you need in order to get what you want what will happen in the end the Jewish people will find themselves without they won't have their own Nation anymore right which means they they'll be they'll be subjugated by other nations saying right you don't want to be you he what God's saying God's saying something very fundamental over here he's saying like this the Jewish people have to be ruled it's as simple as that we we have to be we have to there has to be subjugation of the Jewish people is saying like this you can do it your way or you can do it my way if you want to subjugate yourselves to me that's fine then we can all live happily ever after and direct way so we would get the idea and I think the answer is very simple that if it would have been in a less direct way we wouldn't have got the idea we we have enough trouble you know believing Goes Bananas when when you know when the Israelis by mistake kill four kids on a beach right in Gaza because one of one of the missiles didn't get to where it was supposed to be going to the whole read years ago I read a part of a biography from somebody called Mark Spitz Mark Spitz was a Jewish kid from California who was the uh he he he won in the 1974 Olympics he won seven gold medals for swimming which was a a record that was only beaten just now in this Olympics now I think somebody picked up eight seven was the most anybody ever got in one Olympics and in his biography says you know he he was a regular he was a regular Californian teenage kid right at the beginning of the 1970s Jewish I mean not not from right um You you can imagine what was going on what kind of life was going on in California right in the beginning of the 70s it was pretty it was best it was pretty it was pretty upbeat right and uh he said there were many times he couldn't do anything that his friends were doing because he had to go to train right and he couldn't eat what they were eating because he had a special diet and he couldn't uh you know he couldn't stay out late because he had a curfew and he couldn't couldn't wake up late in the morning cuz he had to go train early right and he had to all you know he said his life was pretty miserable and he said there were many times that he wanted to give up just throw in the tow relation good huh it's like a relationship with good yeah it's interesting right but he had a coach he said who was so cruel that he wouldn't he wouldn't let him go his coach would not let him he wouldn't let him leave and he kept he kept you know badgering him and he got to keep training and he said he reached a point there were in occasions where he he he he really did not like his coach at all and he never understood why he had to go through all of this until he stood on the podium for the first time to get his first gold medal in the Olympics he said it was and then he suddenly realized why it was that he had to suffer the way that he had to suffer in order to be able to reach where he reached was a difference huh a difference between that and what's the difference you see your reward you see your reward our our our standing on the podium and getting up getting a gold medal on the podium is something which we're not going to witness down here in this physical world right but it's something it's a goal that's been it's a goal that we're trying to reach and the same way he never he never knew he was going to get a gold medal in the Olympics he just knew that he was good enough to be able to to be in the Olympics right and you don't know that you're going to be chosen to be on the Olympic team until you go through all the tests and you don't know and you don't know but the end you get there yeah but isn't it also different in the sense that we're we're training to become servants we're we're training in the end you just shut off everything until you're like yeah a little a little bit like he was I I don't think that's very different to Tool actually he he was completely and absolutely subservient to his coach completely then after his reward but he could have walked away oh he could here he tried and his coach seeing the potential that he had wouldn't let him go kep right just like mus keep kept a hold of it after you get the gold medal you can walk away that's that's where that's where the that's where the musall comes to an end you're right right after you've picked up your gold medal or your seven gold medals and you've written your you've written your book and you've made your millions of dollars you can then go and become a drag addict and uh and you know become obese and uh uh do what you want but we're not we're not focusing on the post post gold medal moment we're just focusing on the fact that very often we have to do things that we don't want to do in order to reach where we need to reach surely then you're just living life for that reason you're not living life because you want that relationship you're just living life because you want to be rewarded well and the thing about the reward is you're training yourself to like the reward because isn't oo just closeness to God yes yes incredibly spiritual good right so what are we doing we are exposing ourselves to as much spirituality as we can over here to recognize that that's something that we want that's a good point right because otherwise what are you doing right you know somebody somebody who doesn't like swimming for example is not going to be able to understand why Mark spits bothered to carry on doing it right so fine so don't win the gold medals and have a good have a good you know have a good life you know enjoy enjoy yourself I think it's the same you know I tell you it's interesting when I was growing up to be to be a uh a football a soccer player I mean these guys they had the most incredible Lifestyles they went pottying every night they got drunk every night and they had to they had to come and they had to you know then they had to train a little bit and if they were lucky they could run around for 90 minutes on the pitch and didn't get winded because they had drunk too much beer right and they were the good players to today it's not like that today today they have very very strict regimens they really do you got to you got to you know you've got to get up at 6:00 so you got to be in training you can't go out you can't you can't be out you can't be seen drinking you can't be out clubbing you can't be out it's all kinds of all kinds of rules and regulations over there you are sports unfortunately becoming a drug oh for for for for years and years already right but here what's good okay I mean I'm I'm just throwing it out the the analogy only fits up to a certain point right we read all of this right like we we're we're rushing you know what in a certain way we're like we're like Lemmings you know what Lemmings are Lemmings are these bizarre little animals that they just they follow the leader and the leader Lemmings have this thing that they run the leader runs off a cliff and the Lemmings run off the cliff as well they'll just plunge down to their deaths because that's what the leader did we we're a little bit like Lemmings you know we we don't think about what we're doing we just follow the trends we follow Society and it's really it's not good right wow he's going to judge us there's no there no over here we can't pretend that we don't know so weird that this is
