How to Stop Bad Habits - Rabbi Chay Amar

Elul, why do we see Elul in the Torah? Moses sends spies to inspect the land. So, the translation in Aramaic is v'aleloun. V'aleloun comes from the word Elul. V'aleloun means that they inspected the land. This is a moment of introspection. I'm a businessman. I need to know which product works, which product doesn't work, what should I sell, what should I not sell, and adapt myself to the speed of everything's happening in the world. Same thing with me. What am I doing right? What am I repeating that I've been repeating for the last 40 years that I want to stop once and for all? What are the things I want to start anew? What's going to be the change in my vision? It's not only a change of action, it's a change of heart, a change of vision. And that's something that's so crucial, cuz once you have that change of vision, that realization, that epiphany, that quantum shift, wow. Your whole world is a different world.
