Is it our job and should it be our
personal focus to try and bring Msiah?
>> The truth is there's a Msiah alive right
now, a potential [music] Messiah. Every
generation has its potential Messiah,
which means there's one person alive
right now that God could and maybe will
choose to be Messiah. He doesn't even
know if he's the Messiah. He could he
could realize that he's a scholar. He
could realize that he's a a good man.
Mashiach will only know his Messiah when
God decides for him to reveal himself.
And he will let that person that's alive
right now know you're the Messiah and I
want you to reveal yourself. In every
generation there was and in this
generation there is a potential Messiah.
Someone alive right now that could be
that Msiah that we've been waiting for.
So they have to hold on to the reality
of of a Messiah right now. There is a
potential Msiah in every moment we live.
That's why the sages command from us
that we have to believe and anticipate
every day and ultimately every moment
that Messiah is coming. [clears throat]
We can't make it a tomorrow goal cuz
when you set a goal for tomorrow, it
never happens. And so our Messiah goal
must be a now Messiah goal. It must be a
today Messiah goal. on labrevi were at
the forefront of this whole so to speak
radical but but really simple way of
seeing things that we have to make it
our business that we do what we can to
to bring mashiach ready it's enough how
can a people wait 2,000 years of gulas
can you imagine telling your kid I have
an amazing present for you but wait a
day wait two days wait a week wait a
month wait a year wait 2,000 years for
this unbelievable present of course
we're we're going crazy. Of course, the
the world is falling apart. Of course,
Jews have gone astray. Honey, what do
you expect after 2,000 years? We have to
beg and plead and almost demand as the
shows that it's my opinion that that
Hashem should have mercy on us and just
bring Mashiach cuz righteous is coming.
>> I believe that we all know that Msiah is
a process. It is something that is a
continuum that is happening always the
coming of Msiah. And this is why we say
every single day we believe that Msiah
can come because it's always in the
process of happening. Everything we are
doing in our lives, every experience
that we have globally as our nation and
individually is bringing us closer to
the redemption. But the Basha says
something very important. He says the
verse says
I pray to Hashem that he should bring my
soul to redemption.
And he explains that every single
person's life,
every single person's experience in this
world individually
is bringing him closer to his personal
Msiah, his personal redemption out of
his constrictions,
his own personality, out of his
constrictions, his addictions, his
struggles and bringing him closer to the
great light light of Hashem. And our job
and our focus in this world is actually
to bring our own inner Msiah to bring
our nishama to the best place it could
be. And the closer we get to Hashem, the
closer we are to our personal Msiah.
And he says that when the entire world
comes to the individual Messiah, the
Messiah and the redemption of the
individual, each and every one of us,
that is when the great Messiah is going
to come globally. So on the one hand we
should be very focused on bringing Msiah
but it should be in the way of dealing
with our own redemption.
>> We find that the purpose of creation
from its inception
is really only going to reveal itself at
the very end. And so whatever comes at
the end really was what was first not
only in thought but what came up in
God's ultimate infinite desire to have.
And so since Msiah is something that
we're waiting so long for almost 6,000
years are up, you know, there's a
deadline we got to get finished over
here. And so since Messiah is really a
culmination of the 6,000 years which
correspond each day a thousand years
corresponds to a day, the six days of
work. When it says that we have to work
for six days, what it really means is
for 6,000 years we have to work. And
that's the the day of Shabbat and and
the time of Messiah. And so since it's
our goal is to reach Msiah, then yes,
absolutely everything we do is connected
with that. And so our goal and our focus
of of life as Jews has always been from
from day one. As soon as Adam ate from
the tree of knowledge of good and evil,
his new divine mission was how do I fix
the brokenness I just created? How do I
get back to where I was? Which
ultimately will bring us all higher?
Because to go back to where we were is
like going around in a circle. Doesn't
get you anywhere. But if we spiral up a
bit, we reach a higher place. Through
the fall, we climb higher. Through the
darkness shines the greatest light. And
the light of Mashiach is the absolute
greatest light that God created. There's
only one person that's going to top
Mosher Renu and that is Mashiach.
>> True. And so we are certainly hoping and
praying and working toward a goal of the
revelation of the actual Messiah which
will bring the entire world to a new
level of unity w within each other
within within ourselves and and of
course between God and his world. We're
living in a time right now that has a
different essential energy that wasn't
accessible many many years ago. And we
should know the closer we get to the
time of the actual revelation of Msiah,
things do change, the the Talmud already
says, which is 2,000 years ago roughly,
that everything has already been fixed
and prepared for Messiah. And so what
the Ballaya Talmud understood was that
Messiah could not come in earlier times.
Why didn't the great kings of Israel,
the ones that were great, bring Messiah?
Why? Why didn't Messiah come in Moses?
Why wasn't Moses the Messiah? Why wasn't
the great leaders of the past the
Messiah? The answer was it was too
early. Yakov could have been Mashiach.
Actually, that's what Yakov wanted. When
it says that Yakov requested tranquility
and rest, doesn't mean he wanted to go
to the beach with an ice a nice iced tea
and a lounge chair. It means he wanted a
Messiah. And the answer that God sent
out was was no. Not because he wasn't
deserving of it, but because the world
wasn't ready. He was he was ready but
the world wasn't ready. That today the
world is ready for Messiah. The
spiritual fixing has been fixed. So
what's stopping Messiah is a riddle and
a mystery because we don't really know
exactly what God is waiting for to bring
Messiah. What we do know is whether we
are righteous or wicked. Messiah will
come. So it's not because we're wicked
and it's not if we'll be righteous
either. Messiah comes regardless because
Messiah is the purpose of everything and
therefore that we're not strong enough
to stop Messiah. Even if we become the
biggest wicked people in the world,
it'll become an entire nation that
rebelss against God, Msiah still comes.
This is clear from the sages. So what's
stopping Messiah from coming is a
mystery. But what we can do about
solving this mystery is having absolute
faith that Msiah is coming. because
we're not doing this for nothing and we
have to give it our all in in a personal
sense. We have to do what we're supposed
to do [music] and just hold on to the
amuna of Msiah coming.
