Very often narcissistic people are completely unaware of how narcissistic they are and part of it could be, not always but it could be, that in childhood their developmental trauma was so profound that there was no self ever developed and for them to survive they can't allow anybody to exist because there's always a sense of danger. If I'm not at the center of attention 24/7, I'm not safe. The world is the most dangerous place. So they'll feed off everybody and everything. They always need to be in the center. They sometimes do it in very brilliant ways. At the core of it may be incredible fear, incredible beyond what they know. Their mind is in is is so frozen, call it dorsal, that their mind is so frozen that they don't even know what's happening. They're angry, they're obnoxious, they're selfish and they don't even realize. So if they can begin a process of discovery to be able to uncover stuff, then there could be tremendous growth. But if it's a person who's a narcissist that everyone else is guilty and they're completely not willing to do any form of healing, it's very very difficult. It's very challenging.
