HaShem Demands Full Effort

When a person comes to Hashem and says, "Hashem, I sinned. I didn't keep Shabbat. I didn't give tzedakah. I didn't dress modestly. I didn't act modestly. I'm sorry. I want to do teshuvah." Hashem says, "If you're really coming to me, make sure that you come to me with all of your faculties, with all of your effort. Well, even though I know you're certainly going to fall along the way to success. I created you that way. What I expect from you is not perfection. What I expect from you is full effort. Where each time you fall, you try your best to get up as soon as possible. You're trying to protect your breath. It's been 3 weeks, 4 weeks, 4 months, and you fell. Hashem says, "I expect you to get up AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND TRY AGAIN. DON'T MAKE UP EXCUSES. OH, IT'S TOO HARD for me. Try again. You've been keeping Shabbat for 6 months, for a year, and all of a sudden you fell. Try again. Why? That's what I expect from you. I don't expect perfection from you. But I do expect you to try your best. And of course, some people that do good for a long time have a special protection, have a special second chance.
