Been a exhausting week uh putting together a episode for tomorrow's podcast that's been a long time coming. took a long time to edit and finally put everything together and I decided this is the week and it was a lot to put together. I'm also tired right now. Also, yesterday we had our LC dinner so I went to that which I made a uh special uh behind the scenes vlog which will come out hopefully next week but it's it's going to take some editing so you can check that out. I interviewed Ellie Marcus, uh, Leel Lazerov, Gam Fryats, Rabbi Garfingle, like all the people involved in that production. It was crazy. Uh, so you we check out that vlog when that comes out on this channel. Yeah. Yeah. This one. Um, we also have Yeah. So our podcast as you saw the promo or podcast for this Thursday is Yehuda Groise who made all those films that we grew up in with like for example Drew Revenge, The Big Win, uh uh it's been instrumental for the from entertainment industry for a while now and uh I'm very excited for everyone to watch that episode. Uh I do want to give a shout out to anonymous but shout out to you know who you are for hooking me up with the has with this H one. Heard very mediocre things about it. I haven't watched it. I saw like one clip um one clip with like someone with a like a disco light helmet or something. I don't know. I mean, I know it's it's just so sad that we got to a point where, yay, we're watching a H concert because of how much they really destroyed the reputation of it with this production. Oh my gosh, it's been like a whole this whole past year has been crazy when we're doing live streams and me crashing on all these things. But I do. But my point is is that they really tarnished the standard that has concerts should be to the point where last night I went to the LC dinner. There was a 40 piece band with Gisha Fshot and his band. It was really nice. It was Ellie Marcus who sang it. And who sang at that concert? That was much better than any H concert of the past decade for one reason. Well, two reasons. No DJs and obviously no playing soundtracks from albums or pre-recorded uh uh uh uh band recordings. They played it from scratch. They rehearsed it. It didn't they they really like it was really in months in the making. But that's the work that needs to put into has concerts as well. Not just any fundraiser dinner for uh for well it's not just any it's it's the South Florida LEC and everything but the point is what about the what is meant to be the biggest has the biggest Jewish music concert in the world they can't do that what are we doing so my expectations of this are very low as for every house concert but we'll have to see all right as usual we're going and give a shout out to everyone who are in the comment section. And I really thought to myself, and I'm not kidding around. I said, "If I was at Bria, what kind of music would you hear there?" And it just came to me. This was the beginning. In vast emptiness. iness. Darkness resting on the surface. In the beginning, Hashem created heaven and earth. Virim. It's not bad. You're perfect. Dang good actually. They better go back to the theme. This is all amazing. It's still pretty good, but we need the theme more prominent, not just for the first 10 seconds of it. You know what I mean? >> A new beginning. Meaning Jewish music for me, if it works, it gets you emotional, you take take something heart from it, that's great. Meaning, it's not necessarily about a genre. It's about if I listen to a song by a Jewish singer with a of the song, do I feel different? Do I enjoy myself? Do I enjoy myself and my and my and my is Hashem more better because of it? I I'm I'm trying to get I am getting too technical about it and like get like some like highlevel answer, but the gist of it is any Jewish song that uplifts me emotionally is what I like. Kumzit. Yeah, that's who who knows what goes wrong with kunits. Kazanas, that too. That too. Bye. Bye. Yeah. Yeah. Bye. Um, you deserve that supper. What do you mean if there's no theme? Last year's theme was beyond Worlds. When I mean theme is that there was a coherent there was a coherent, lack of a better word, theme throughout the concert. Meaning every singer that came up after the other had this consistent notion going around in rhythm that enveloped the entire concert and that made sense of why this singer came after that singer and why the pick of the songs and so on and so forth. For example, H 24 was one of the best themes ever. was that time of duets where every medaly there was a duet between two singers and the order of the singers actually matched. Some of the singers matched with each other and and also the fact that the singers the mealies worked after each other. So like you had that Yeah, that's the legitimate. Basically, that's an example of that you have a theme that's not just it's it's more than just the name of the concert. It actually envelops and actually makes sense and and only adds to the concert. But truthfully, my favorite moments of concerts past have had very little to do with me and very much to do with the stars performing them. Usually the interviews happen at nighttime and after a long day of work and uh and to end off the day I do with a good interview and then I leave it to editing on a different day. There's only one interview I ever did that really was like a I feel like I could have done more was Mayor Bobus because usually when we're doing the podcast interview you I usually get into like in a conversation with him. He was straightforward answering the questions. So there wasn't really like a lot of feeding off in for a conversation. But yeah, um overall though I am satisfied usually after a good interview like are the interviews quenching a thirst for knowledge and to you do they produce even more quenching? Yes, over time that's why I keep doing it. Uncle Mike's World volume five the friendship album has two songs par songs excuse me be a helper and let's include release in March 2026 funny thing about Uncle Mikey I would love for him to come to the podcast but he told me no I'm not going to get into details of what have like there's more to it but those who know the story know the story it was very interesting uh uh interaction I was just watching has 18 and the background was black with a bunch of little star little lights to look like stars. I thought it looked awesome. Yeah, that's one thing that has concerts did amazing is that it didn't just rely on just lights and good stages for the band. They also rely on the fact that they played around with the stage every concert. Like this is the setup that they had for the past seven H concerts. Every has concert when Shameo and So Ding produced they would switch around to fit what it was trying to bring out in its concert. For example, H seven, they had a movable stages. That was insane. Uh for H 18, they had the little stars. That was great. And so on and so forth. And and and the duets, instead of having one door in the middle, they had two doors on the side, so duets would walk in. That was that was pretty cool. Him and Barry. And it's made by Matt Dub. Yeah, I can't put my finger on it, but it seems like singers were much more prepared on the older house. Like they did much more rehearsal and it looked much more polished. It wasn't just a hoopa. They had the band and he was singing with them. They were very heartick. It was amazing. And then he once he got back to the DJ in the wedding, it was like okay. Uh but the point is is that um Zusha could have been the next David. For those that know what I mean, they get what I mean. He could have been the next kind of it, but instead he became a just the trending like like going after what's trending and stuff or he's the not really actually. I can't really say that. It's more like he whatever he does is trending. So why doesn't he do what like like genuine Jewish music in the concerts? I don't care if he makes like a DJ thing with with his music himself. That's fine. But when he goes on a concert and there's a 40 piece band behind you, why are you using a DJ? Use the band. They're thirsty to play. Just use the band. Aama 9607. Like they had that like like that kind of personality to do Agent MS. But what I realized it was like just people that really enjoyed the process. What even I'm not even talking about the professional actors that were hired, also the community members. But I think the most interesting thing is that everyone felt like there was something like there there's something big. It wasn't just another project that were part of or my neighbor label Cohen was doing a project so he asked me to come by. We did it. I think everyone knew that there was something big happening when HMS was being made. I think that's what it's great about that. But it's not like you know what's going on.
