Last week, they've also sent drones, you know, if you if you keep up with us on Edge, you know you know already what happened to the UAE. They sent some suicide drones. I guess when they say the negotiations are going really well, we know what they mean. Trump didn't approve the latest US to Iran deal that they obviously presented to him in the secret meeting on Friday, so they're back at the beginning with neither side wanting to compromise, obviously. Call them. Okay? All right. American forces hit an Iranian air defense system and radar stations and drone bases along the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend. Okay. Now this is big because the Iranians shot back and they said uh this was in retaliation for them shooting down an a drone, an American drone. They consider this uh this the first actual attack after Iran shot down the American drone. Right now American forces, working crews are working very hard on an F-16 fighter jet at a Middle East base. They're fixing it up, working on it, preparing it for some sort of action. Two American fuel planes, the KC planes, the one I spoke about last week, right on Friday, were also seen filling up jets in the air over the Persian Gulf. Now the fighting is making it very hard for cargo ships to move across the Strait of Hormuz, as you can imagine. Over the the last 3 weeks, American forces guided about 70 cargo ships safely through the Strait of Hormuz. Most of these ships are turning off their transponders, So, the Iranians cannot hit them. Further south, the country of Oman warned sailors about a bomb floating in the water. These were placed by Iran even after the US removed previous mines. On Friday, like I said, President Trump wrote on Truth Social that the blockade on the ships in the Strait of Hormuz is going to be removed. And Iran will be able to move freely, but cargo ships are still being turned away from Iranian ports for now. So, has the blockade been lifted? I'll leave the answer with you. Five American soldiers and workers were also slightly injured in Kuwait. An Iranian ballistic missile was shot down in the sky over the country. Now, pieces of the missile crashed onto the Ali Al Salem airbase. And the falling metal destroyed an American drone. Now, if you look at this, you see until the last American soldier leaves the region, they labeled one of their missiles that they threw that they um you know, sent over there. And uh that's what they want. That's their purpose. The purpose is to continue to attack the US. They're not really interested in making any deals. And also, I heard just now that part of the deal is Lebanon. If Lebanon Hezbollah if Hezbollah is not attacked and Israelis have to withdraw, Americans have to withdraw, that's part of the the deal they want. The fighting doesn't stop there. Iran also sent drone strikes into northern Iraq. They hit the city of Erbil to go after the Kurdish groups who are fighting LeManHa US. And here is a little irony. Iran's supreme leader Mostafa Khamenei is calling for peace among the Middle East countries. Last week, as you already know, there was a statement from him. He didn't speak speak and we never saw him or heard him speak. He wanted them to become his friends as allies. This week, he's attacking them. Some of these countries are strongly backing up backing the United States of America, as you can imagine. It includes the following: United Arab Emirates UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. You either make friends with talks or just bomb them. That's the way it goes today, I guess. Now, even with all that fighting, the peace talks are still going on. As of last Friday, well, the deal between Iran and the US is almost finalized. They were only waiting for Trump's approval. Well, they didn't get it. Instead, Trump wants additional changes. He wants now to add a clause that will that will basically force Iran to give up all well, all of its dangerous uranium, which is basically the dust, nuclear dust, like Trump likes to call it, which is buried under the beautiful Midnight Hammer Operation attack, that he bombed those mountains in Fordow, for those of you remember. He explained on Truth Social that the agreement goes, well, in very strong and lengthy detail to discuss various other aspects of nuclear. In fact, he says that's what most of the agreement is all about. And it does not stop there. He wants an exact date to take and destroy Iran's nuclear dust, like he calls it, and for the Strait of Hormuz to be opened right away. French President uh Emmanuel Macron put it put out an amazing message today. He said that he officially commends Trump and his efforts to make peace. Now, Robert Assarian, we have a deal, because French President Emmanuel Macron agreed with Trump. He's even offering French ships to help open the strait, but surprise, Iran is saying no. Surprise, surprise, surprise. Leaders in Tehran say that if America changes the last week's plan, Iran will ask for new things, as well. Well, you can imagine. So, what will happen if both Iran and the US don't reach a deal? Pete Hoekstra, the US Secretary of War, said that the military is ready for a giant bombing attack, obviously. He explained the attack the attack would look like something very similar to the one that President Nixon used in 1972. If you don't know yet, that's the the attack on Vietnam, where Nixon dropped over 20,000 tons of bombs. But Trump says it will only take one bomb this time. Although on Truth Social he is positive about the agreement, President Trump said, "Iran really wants to make a deal, and it will be a good one for the USA and those that are with us. But don't be Don't the Democrats and the various seemingly unpatriotic Republicans understand that it is much tougher for me to properly do my job and negotiate when when political hacks keep negatively chirping at levels never seen before over and over again that I should move faster or move slower or go to war or not go to war or whatever. Just sit back and relax." He says, "It will all work out well in the end. It always does." President DJT. Trump even shared a photo of a medal with the words Trump Peace Prize to emphasize how confident he is. So, with the new changes to America's proposed deal, they're all back at the beginning again. Top US official says that getting a final answer from Iranian leaders will take up to a week. That's because they're hiding in caves with no email access, he explained. Speaking of caves, obviously, as you can imagine, Iran is also digging out right now 18 underground missile sites that were heavily bombed. Pictures from space show how they have already clearly cleared out 50 out of 69 tunnels, which the Americans obviously created by bombing and stuff. They've You know, they've blocked all those tunnels, all those entrances and exits and stuff. Most of the ballistic missiles hiding underground actually survived the bombings, as you can imagine. Which is crazy. But money trouble for the Iranian leaders is also growing. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that Washington froze about $1 billion in Iranian digital money digital currency. This move is meant to stop Iran from spending more money around the world. The US is also going after a group of Chinese oil ships that helped Tehran sell oil and skip well, hide from sanctions. The hope for a pause in fighting has caused American gas prices to drop very, very quickly over the past week. This is bringing some help to the world economy. On the other hand, the world money markets are staying a little bit quiet today, stable I'd say. The dollar is steady and the price of gold went a little down. Now, looking at how different countries are doing, the United States remains at the biggest economy right now. Reports say American economy grew nearly to 2% at the start of the year. The United Kingdom is growing a little bit slower than that. Well, and well, at least the sorry, less than 1% they say. Meanwhile, the economy in Israel is doing great. They're the highest GDP out of 20 countries, which is really, really strong. But, on the other hand, Canada is officially in a technical recession. This happens when a country's economy shrinks for two straight quarters. Reports say the Canadian economy dropped again at the start of the year. The dollar is doing very bad following a larger drop at the at the end of last year. And they say it's because of the Trump's the the feud that Trump has with um Mark Carney with the new prime minister there. All right, there is a rumor in Iran that President Masoud Peseshkian wrote a letter to quit his job, to resign. But, of course, the Iranian government is strongly denying the story. An advisor to the president said, "The claims are completely false." He called the rumor a fake story made up by foreign enemies. Today, Peseshkian also denied the rumors and said, "I will continue as long as I breathe." A new video surfaced after after the internet was restored in Iran last week. This shows the bombing of the Iranian supreme leader's house or office by the Israeli fighters. It came raining down on February 28th, 2026. That was Shavuot. Jewish souls in Tehran showed support on Shavuot and Matan Torah towards the new leader, Mosheh ben Amram, and obviously a memorial for his father, Ali Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. They put up massive pictures of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson and had to speak. They're living under serious oppression there. President Donald J. Trump and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, who received his perfume from him, spoke on the phone today. They talked about rebuilding the country and keeping the Middle East safe. The two leaders talked about a lot of the economy and growing closer as friends together. They also talked about how Syria will become more important as it rebuilds. In a linked move, President Trump is giving more jobs to US more jobs sorry, he's giving another job to the US ambassador to Turkey, Tom Barrack. He's giving him another job. He's giving him a job to become the US ambassador to Turkey. Sorry, I didn't Yeah, didn't phrase that well. Barrack will now be a special contact person for Syria and Iraq as well in addition to Turkey. Not just that, which is an amazing move obviously. The State Department says it will fully back Barrack as he tries to build better relationships with both countries. Turkey is included. She took away tax money from Yeshiva students if they're Bohurim Yeshivas. If the Bohurim do not show up for the army. Degel HaTorah leader Hadav Moshe Gafni warned things will get out of control. He said the right-wing political group is basically dead. Haredi leaders are strongly supporting the arrest Sorry, the arrested Yeshiva students obviously. Hadav Moshe Sternbuch Shlita recently met with a Bohur who spent 20 days in military confinement in prison after refusing obviously to go to the draft. He told the young man that he's a partner with Hakadosh Baruch Hu. Shita de Aybershta. Let's talk about Lebanon and Gaza, shall we? Lebanon's Beaufort Castle has been captured. The big push north up made world oil prices obviously go up because of the Israeli advanced. France asked the United Nations to hold a rush meeting on Monday council. The United States told Israel it is okay to push into Beirut, but leaders in Europe are strongly criticizing this move. British and French leaders demanded an immediate end to the fighting. They also called on Hezbollah to give up their weapons. At the same time, the United States is showing a new peace plan in two leaders in the Israeli and Lebanon, you know, delegations situations. Marco Rubio is continuing to push for a ceasefire in Lebanon. Obviously, but Washington says there is no sign Hezbollah will even agree. Iran, we know, wants Hezbollah and Lebanon with a ceasefire part of the ceasefire agreement. Another temporary one, they want a full one. Hezbollah has ignored repeated calls to stop attacking Israel. Because of this, the United States says it will not stop the Israeli military from responding and obviously going deeper in. American officials are blaming Hezbollah for the growing conflict. They say the group is afraid of direct negotiations that could threaten its future in the region, obviously. Uh [sighs] shais is got you know, and also Hezbollah drone just hit and killed one Israeli and injured a few others just now in the northern side of Israel. Just saying there's another report just came out recently. Rebbi Leib is the son of Rebbi Moshe Gabay, who serves as the Gabay of the Satmar Rebbe from Williamsburg. This is a rare visit, being seen as a major step in bringing the two communities closer together, which is an amazing thing. The massive Adirei Torah event drew such a large crowd, a huge crowd on Sunday, that organizers had had to open a second location. An off-duty Israeli soldier shot and killed the guy. He's a 30-year-old terrorist right there on the spot. Right after stopping the attacker, the same soldier rushed over to give some first aid to the victims. The victims include two teenage girls. One of them is 17 years old old only and in very bad shape. She should have She should have a speedy recovery and free Shulamit. A girl's shtiebel in Bnei Brak was broken into and smashed on Friday night. The break-in is the newest attack by a group of teenagers, wild teenagers, in the Shikun Hey neighborhood in Bnei Brak. For several weeks now this group has been staying in public parks there. The park, right, which is the park that they've been staying in is right next to the the the Bais Yaakov Knesset Merkazi. And they've been wrecking the area and attacking people walking by. On Friday night, the teens broke into the nearby shtiebel, smashed the door, broke the windows in the the the the back entrance, and stole some valuable things. On Shabbos afternoon, the group came back into the park and they threatened to stab people living nearby. The police are still investigating the case and who these teenagers are. Former US Federal Reserve Chair, yes, and former Mr. Too Late, Jerome Powell, says the central bank is going through a stress test. He says people might stop trusting the bank. He gave his first public speech since he stepped down as the boss on May 15th and he was replaced by Kevin Warsh on May 22nd. Powell spoke in Boston on Sunday night, yesterday night, last night. The speech um was about basically the Trump team trying to take away the bank's freedom. Powell is staying at the bank as a regular board member to keep President Trump on check basically from filling his empty seat. A former boss staying on the board like this has never happened in 75 years. Powell said he plans to stay quiet in his new job, but it turns out he couldn't help speaking up. Well, he didn't stay that quiet. The state of Alabama is asking the United States Supreme Court to approve its new congressional voting map for the upcoming midterm elections. A lower court recently rejected the map saying that it was actually racially discriminatory. Now, states state officials are asking the highest court to to reverse that decision and they want the districts to be used anyway. The Supreme Court is currently reviewing similar legal battles of voting maps in multiple states. These final rulings could decide which political party controls Congress after November. Speaking of politics, here in Rockland County not far from me, yesterday Governor Kathy Hochul visited the home of a a philanthropist, a very rich guy living here in in Rockland County, a big supporter obviously uh for the Jewish community. She visited and met with members and leaders of our community including obviously the chief of staff, Mona Montal, with other big Democratic leaders and also runner-ups. The mayor of Nyack who is basically running for He's running for Senate against Bill Weber, who's right now a senator in New York, who's a good friend of mine actually, Bill Weber. And he's running against him, Joe Ryan. So, yeah, so he also visited and he also attended the visit there where Governor Hochul came. She's obviously running again for re-election to be the governor of New York against with whom? Bruce Blakeman, who we all know is running for governor. Anyway, it was an event for a fundraiser to support the Moisheson, the schools. You had the big leaders of the community from Vision Nets and from Square and many other high officials including Mayor Taub was also seen there who's recently uh um stepped up in the political industry and political fields here in Rockland County which is an amazing thing to see how the Hamish community has has become has I would say a big a big vote I would say. So that's why it's very important to go out and vote because if you go out and vote your voice gets heard obviously. United Airlines flight from Newark to Spain had to turn around over the ocean because of two security threats. It happened on Shabbos while the plane was flying over the water. What happened? First the passenger tried to run into the pilot's cabin into cockpit. Then another passenger on the plane named the Bluetooth device on the word with a word bomb. Because of this the pilots made a U-turn right in the middle of the flight in the air and the plane flew all the way back and landed safely at the airport in Newark, New Jersey. Transportation Security Administration TSA and Customs Border Protection CBP say CBP sorry officers rechecked all the passengers before boarding a new plane. The airline didn't provide any more information about this incident. Over the weekend Trump continuously posted about the new billion-dollar White House ballroom. Oh, I forgot to mention before speaking of Trump and his ballroom in the White House. Mam Dani didn't attend the Israeli parade yesterday. The biggest Israeli parade that every single mayor in New York City almost has joined um since 19 early 1960 something. Um it hasn't happened where a mayor hasn't joined and even even Bill de Blasio joined. Mam Dani didn't join but Governor did join. But the ironic part is that Governor Kathy Hochul supported Mam Dani and endorsed him officially before he became the mayor of New York City. Now, let's continue about the over the weekend Trump continuously posted about the ballroom the billion-dollar White House ballroom. He complained he he said that the ballroom he wanted to gift from his own money. But now the administration and the military wants to forfeit it for fortify it with obviously more money to be able to secure it and make it the most secure White House, not just the ballroom, the White House in general. Now, the ballroom is complete with all the security features including bomb-proof rooms and attack drone systems. He wants to have a drum party, he says. It even compared Well, he Trump compared it to China and said, "See, they have a ballroom. It's called the Great Hall of China. Very large and beautiful and secure. Why do people fight me for having something even better?" The Democrats, he says, are crazy. Thomas Massie, who's a Republican, lost his seat obviously last week as you can remember because he is technically a a Republican, which Ben Shapiro calls the new left. He's working with the other leaning left-leaning politicians to stop Trump from doing what he needs to do in Iran and many other places in the world. Obviously, anything Trump wants to do, he goes against. Television anchor Savannah Guthrie is reportedly spending half a million dollars on private investigators to find her missing mother. Her mother, Nancy Guthrie, vanished 4 months ago. People have wondered what happened, right? So, here's the story. Recently, um searchers thought they found a clue when human bones were discovered just a few miles from Nancy's home. However, experts examined the remains and determined that they are actually um up to 1,000 1,000 years old, those bones, and the family is still looking for answers as the search continues or maybe they started a new investigation. Where did those bones come from 1,000 years ago? The European Union, EU, has placed new rules and blocks on Khaled Mashal. Khaled Mashal um he and nine other leaders of Hamas were targeted. The EU went after the terror group's top leaders to stop the ongoing violence. And they said Hamas terrorists get their orders for attacks straight from the these leaders. Those were placed a day earlier against four Jewish groups living in the area. Turning to Eastern Europe, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his country is getting ready for a giant Russian attack. He warned that a major drone and rocket strike is coming. The secret information was shared by the United States and European um friends, obviously. It shows major military planning by Moscow, which comes after recent Russian strikes in Odessa.
