so let me go back about 30 years which
is where my participation
in this so-called war actually started
i was visiting my cousin who lives in
silver spring maryland
and he was telling me he's a
mathematician also as i am
and he was telling me about a
conference that he went to was a
mathematical conference which took place
in jerusalem there's an international
conference
just happened to take place in jerusalem
and there he met an old colleague of his
from university of california by the
name of
professor daniel michaelson and he was
very surprised when he saw
professor michelson because professor
michaelson was not a religious person
he was jewish but not religious and
there he was wearing a yarmulke
so my cousin went over to him and said

i mean what happened to you then he
looked up at him and he said well they
showed me these codes
and my cousin said what codes and he
told him and my cousin told me he says
well they've discovered that there are
codes in the torah and the five books of
moses in the original hebrew of the five
books of moses
there are codes embedded in the text
which talk about
current events when my cousin told me
that i said
well that's crazy i mean i've never
heard of anything like that
that's ridiculous i i can't believe that
and he said to me yeah i know it does
sound really weird but i know this guy
michael said
he's really brilliant well i didn't know
michelson
so you know what i just forgot about it
i figured that piece of nonsense
forget about it for about a year about a
year later
my wife went to a class it had nothing
to do with codes but the
lecturer just happened to mention these
codes in the torah
so my wife came back she said to me uh
my dear husband
you know there are these i i heard that
there are these codes in the torah
i said oh come on forget about that i i
heard about that too yeah yeah
it's a bunch of nonsense and she said
well
my dear mathematician husband
how do you know that it's nonsense
but you know why would she think that i
would be interested in causing the torah
well aside from the fact that i'm a
religious jew so obviously i'm
interested in the torah
but why codes you see because at the
time
i was a senior cryptologic mathematician
for the united states department of
defense
my job was to invent and create
the mathematical techniques that were
used to break diplomatic and military
codes
so i was an expert with many years
experience
in codes
so how can you not be interested codes
in the torah you got to look into it
okay you know let's have peace at home
i'll make my wife happy
i'll look into it i'll prove that it's
nonsense i was sure it was nonsense
but if i'm going to do a mathematical
and scientific investigation
bias goes out the window i start from
scratch
no feeling about it one way or the other
i mean i think in my mind i know how
it's going to come out it's going to be
obvious it's going to be just nonsense
but in terms of the investigation i'm
investigating it
as in a totally unbiased way as if i
have no idea what the result is going to
be
well the first step was to find out what
are these codes
so i made a few telephone calls i
connected with a rabbi
uh israel tauber in muncie who told me
that there's going to be an arachim
seminar
arakan being an israeli outreach
organization
and it's going to be in new york and if
i was well if i wanted to come i'd be
welcome to come and there would be a
one talk on the codes so i decided okay
it's an easy way to find out about it
i'll go go here and hear a lecture on it
and find out what it's all about
but i wanted to make sure to bring along
with me someone who is
really really really smart i have to
have a very very close friend
and at that time he's not retired but at
that time
he was a senior physicist
at the john hopkins applied physics
laboratory
and the guy's a genius his name is andy
goldfinger some of you may have heard
his name because he's given many
lectures to project inspire in the past
as well as for discovery i said andy
how about we go together and find out
about these codes
and he said you're on so we went ahead
and we drove
to new york from baltimore where we both
live
and then we are sitting in this lecture
about the codes the first thing they
explained
was how the codes are put into the torah
how do you how do they appear and what
they call them as equidistant
letter sequences or els for short
equidistant lettuce sequence means a
sequence of letters
presumably the word of the phrase that's
encoded and it appears
in the torah every certain certain
number of letters but it's always going
to be the same so it could be
the distance between the first letter
that's encoded and the second letter
that's encoded
is say 23 the distance from the second
to the third will be 23 from the third
to the fourth point 23 until the end
of the so-called encoded word or encoded
phrase could be doesn't have to be
uh 23 it could be a thousand and twenty
three but or two thousand and twenty
four
so long as the distance from the first
letter to the second letter is the same
as from the second to the third the
third to the fourth
and so on and so on okay fine
now one of the things that became very
clear in the beginning
is that the fact that some words
whatever it may be or even set of words
appears
in the torah in most cases is not at all
interesting you see the torah has three
hundred and four thousand eight hundred
and five letters that's a lot of letters
so if you're looking for the appearance
of a four or five or six or seven or
even eight letter word in hebrew
you're likely to find it in fact you're
likely to find it many times
the fact that you find uh even a modern
word
like spacecraft in the you know embedded
in the torah somewhere is not going to
be surprising
what they were claiming was surprising
is where the words
occur relative to each other
and that is if you took two or more
words that were conceptually related and
i'll give you an example in just a
moment
that were conceptually related then
you would find them in close proximity
to each other now
close proximity does not necessarily
mean
that if you were to open up a torah
scroll and look for that you'd find both
of them right near each other you might
but you might not it has to be put on
what's called a grid or a tableau
and if you put it on the proper tab low
all of a sudden you're going to see the
two or three words like a crossword
puzzle
one we're going this way one we're going
that way one more go across like that
and so on it's well defined
mathematically the relationship of
proximity is well defined mathematically
it just turns out that because of the
way the definition is done
it's possible to display it on a matrix
or a grid as i just described
and if you want to see pictures of what
it looks like some of the things i'd be
describing without showing you pictures
they are in the book the cosmic puzzle
as well as in some other books as well
and they showed us some really
impressive things at least impressive to
most people for example
the hebrew words for diabetes insulin
pancreas all in close proximity to each
other
now three thousand years ago three
thousand three hundred years ago or even
two thousand years ago when the torah
was
translated into the greek and it's been
in western culture ever since they
probably didn't know about insulin
maybe they knew about the pancreas i'm
not sure but why don't they knew that
there was a connection between diabetes
and the pancreas
then they showed us for example ago and
may vilna
the genius of vilner this is a very very
well known famous
rabbi who lived between 1720 and 1797
in the villa of course and he was an
incredible genius
there it is ha gowan one word may vilna
another word and they're very close
together not
only in terms of this grid
but in the torah itself if you would
actually look at it
you would see one going every eight
letters the other one going every i
think it's 12 letters
or 11 letters they're really next to
each other
which is amazing because if you think
about it you know the village didn't
live until the 18th century
and here in a book that's 3 300 years
old
or a minimum that everyone would agree
with 2 000 years old
you're finding these two words close
together
when there's 304 000 letters that it
could have been anywhere
why would they occur to tiny little
space that's amazing by itself
but when you put it on the grid you also
saw the date of birth
and on a different grid you saw the date
of death
in hebrew of course that that would be
mind-blowing i mean how did someone 300
years ago
know even that what his name would be
and what he would be called
not only that but where he when he would
be born and when he would die
hanukkah didn't occur until a long time
after the terror was written
which means greek eight days
two words close together bastille you
all remember the bastille
right from the from the french
revolution the fortress
now here it's interesting it's a little
different than the others because
bastille occurs as an els as an
equidistant lettuce sequence
but it's not next to another els
well it is but we're not going to talk
about that but it's next to a verse
and this is genesis 39 20 and the verse
translated to english says
the prison where the royal prisoners
were kept it's talking about the story
of joseph
the biblical joseph being put in prison
but over here
it's talking about the french revolution
the best deal what the best deal was
so many people were impressed people go

one bit and the reason was it's not
scientific
yeah it looks very nice but how do you
know
that given three hundred and four
thousand eight hundred and five letters
in the torah that this kind of thing
doesn't just happen
by itself by chance just like the
appearance of the elses can happen by
itself
maybe the proximity of two or three
lessers could also happen by itself just
by chance
randomly unless you approach it in a
purely scientific way and have a way of
measuring the proximity
and measuring the odds of it happening
the probability that it can happen
as opposed to happening by chance it's
not scientific it's purely
subjective and the true scientist the
mathematician wants it to be truly
objective so what happened was
that people noticed that andy and i were
sort of going
like that and eventually stopped looking
at the presentation and they started
looking at us each time as soon as
they'd see what it is
they look to us and we would go like
that it was very uncomfortable for the
presenter
but then he showed us something even
more interesting to us not to everybody
else perhaps but to the scientist
the physicist and to the mathematician
and that was
a apparently scientific experiment that
was done
called the great rabbi's experiment it's
also known as wrr
for wisdom rips and rosenberg wisdom
and rips being the two people who
conceived of the whole experiment and
you have rosenberg being the one who did
the software
what they did was to make it scientific
they
the first thing they did is they wanted
to get the names of a lot of rabbis
famous rabbis
and they're going to search for them to
see are they close to the dates of birth
and dates of death
not like the vilna gohan which was just
one pulled out of the hat
this is going to be taken out of an
encyclopedia it's encyclopedia of great
men of israel between the 9th and the
18th centuries
so they're going to take the name and
also his appellations now what's meant
by an appellation we said before
remember
we talked about hugo and me vilna or
sometimes known as the vilna gohan
that's his appellation that's not really
his name this real name real name
is rabbi elijah bin zalman but
his appellation that he's better known
by the appellation
is the vil the villain
or may vilna uh the same kind of thing
with
the rambam rambam is an appalachian
that's not his name his name is robbie
mosher ben myman
so so the the commonly known
appellations that went with each other
are also used
and then versus the dates of birth and
the dates of death and see
how close do they come in proximity
according to this mathematical measure
looked like a perfectly good scientific
experiment
and when we looked at that andy and i
went
we were uh at least impressed for the
moment
for the moment requires going through it
very very carefully
we hadn't done that yet at the end of
the lecture i
asked the lecturer who i believe was sv
involved but i'm not sure
of arachim we asked him could we get
a copy they told me there was a preprint
that they had submitted this for
publication
there was a preprint of the cut of the
paper i said can we get a copy of the
of the preprint which we did and we
studied it and we didn't find any
mathematical mistakes in it
everything seemed absolutely fine
so we were so impressed that afterward
impressed not only
with the codes but also with a lot of
the other material they presented
which is also presented in discovery
seminars that when discovery seminar
came to baltimore
andy and i decided to take our wives to
see all this material as well
and the presenter was someone from
israel did a very good job presenting
and i went over to
the people running the seminar and i
said to them
you know if you need someone to present
the codes i'm an expert in codes i can
present this material
and they said uh thank you very much uh
you know don't call us we'll call you
well sure enough a few weeks later they
called me and they called andy
you see because what happened was that
the presenter
who was a mathematician had mathematical
training lived in israel
he became sick he was unable to come and
they had several seminars coming up
so they needed someone to take his place
very very fast
and so andy and i took his place andy
with some of the seminars i
and some of the others
so here i am giving these these lectures
and eric coopersmith rabbi eric cooper
smith who was
at that time the head of discovery in
north america
approached me and he said um
you know we feel extremely uncomfortable
that wisdom and rips are the only people
in the entire
world who have done this experiment
we would like to see um
you do it too but you have the expertise
you have your technology we'll give you
a computer your first computer first
home computer
and go ahead and reproduce this
experiment and see if it really works
how do we know that that experiment that
really works just because they say so
maybe they just invented all the results
okay i didn't think so but it was a
valid idea
and so i went ahead and did it and it
worked i got the same results as wisdom
and ribs and i had a
chill go up my spine i thought to myself
wait a minute wait a minute wait a
minute
this is my computer in my house
and here i am getting the same result
wow see there must have been a little
bit of doubt in my mind even though they
had given me a disc
of genesis the book the experiment was
done only on genesis so that was the
only part of the
five books of moses that was then on
disc on a digitized version
they give it to me earlier i assume they
wouldn't have given me the disc if they
uh
had thought that i would find out that
the whole thing was a hoax
and then in 1994
they published a paper in statistical
science testicle science is one of the
premier
journals and statistics one of the
premium mathematical journals in the
entire world
august 1994 now the
they had to do an experiment a second
time to satisfy the peer reviewers let
me explain about peer review
unlike a magazine where the editors take
a look at it it sounds nice it looks
good
they'll print it they may have
want to look at it make sure it's true
check it out you know but with a
scientific journal
they have people who are scientists or
mathematicians in the same field as the
author
and they're going to go through it with
a fine-tooth comb and ensure that there
are no
mistakes if there are any mistakes
they'll ask them to correct it if they
can't correct mistakes they won't allow
it to be published
so here it passed peer review but in
order to do that they had to do the
experiment the second time
on a new data set from the same
encyclopedia the same idea
everything the same the same formulas
the only thing is instead of taking
rabbis ahead
between uh three columns of text written
about them and
up they took one and a half columns of
text to three columns of text so it was
a totally disjoint
set of rabbis approximately the same one
of them was had 34 rabbis one of them
had 32 rabbis
other than that everything is the same
and they also had to set a threshold
of a probability now what does this mean
you see there are two possibilities when
you see something unusual
either it's unusual but it could happen
by chance
doesn't happen very often but it does
happen by chance take a rainbow
you don't see a rainbow every day you
probably don't even see a rainbow every
month or
maybe even not even every year but it is
a perfectly natural event that it does
just happen when things are right
so maybe the same thing over here may
not be uh
very significant but it doesn't happen
very often but
it does happen so we want to know how
improbable does it have to be before we
believe that what you're saying is true
that it's not just random it does not
just happen by chance
now the threshold that's set uh for most
papers for many many papers uh
especially medical papers like the new
england journal of medicine
used to be one in twenty not a very very
small threshold means one
that means that one out of every twenty
times you may have a random result
which i don't know how much confidence
it gives you in the medical profession
but they are changing
so now they're saying well you know they
even back then days they would say
sometimes they say well this is really
important 100
okay that means that 99
confident that this didn't happen by
chance
and evaluating some medication or
treatment and so on
there have been calls to go to one in
500.
okay because they say 120 is not enough
1 to 500.
but for this the referees the peer
reviewers
set the threshold at one in a thousand
now that is not fair and the fact is it
is absolutely fair it's correct that's
right and you know why
because extraordinary results require
extraordinary evidence
and what they're saying is this thing is
so incredible if it's true
namely that there are things about
rabbis who wouldn't live
until the at least the 9th century up
until the 18th century
encoded in a book that everyone agrees
is a minimum of 2000 years old
doesn't make sense the names of the
rabbis the dates of birth dates of death
no way you want us to believe that this
is true to be able to publish it
in our journal and not get laughed at
one in a thousand
if it's not smaller or equal to one in a
thousand
then we're not going to publish it so if
you get one in 500 we're going to say
yeah could be chance
yeah very unusual but we don't believe
it enough to publish it
one in a thousand or one in two thousand
or three thousand
yes that's significant enough we're
gonna publish it
well the experiment didn't get one in a
thousand
or what in two thousand i wanted five
thousand it might got one in sixty two
thousand five hundred that's 62
times stronger more than 62 times
stronger than what the referees required
in order to
establish that yes we believe this
enough that we're going to publish it
and so it was published in statistical
science in august of 1994
and at that time was the heyday of
discovery that we had the codes it was
very very powerful
people saw it it was published past peer
review people believed in it
and it's amazing it shows you that the
torah couldn't have been written by
humans because what you could have had
this information
two or three thousand years ago
and then after evaluating wrr
i decided to go one step further i said
you know what
if the these names are encoded with
their
dates of birth and death maybe they're
also encoded with the cities
of birth and death and so i decided to
go ahead and use the names of the
communities
the jewish names of the community just
like we used the
hebrew names just these hebrew names for
um the dates
and isc in baal to go through and get
the
information for me from the from two
encyclopedias hebrew encyclopedias
the uh encyclopedia hebraica and the
original encyclopedia that was used for
wrr for the great rabbis experiment
um and i finished that experiment i got
a probability not at one sixty two
thousand five hundred
but one in two hundred and fifty
thousand it's odds of two hundred and
fifty thousand to one
that this just happened by chance it was
a it was a tremendous success a smashing
success
sometimes things can be
too successful because it aroused a lot
of people
who wanted to prove that terror codes
weren't true we call them the critics
and they succeeded in publishing a paper
in statistical science the same journal
in may of 1999 which was called solving
the
torah codes or the bible codes puzzle
and they claimed to find out
how was it done it was a hoax
it was a hoax and they go on to great
detail to explain
how the hoax was perpetrated now there
are several parts
to there are basically two parts to
their argument one part
is certain what they what they call
circumstantial evidence
which shows that there was a hoax they
claimed no probabilities
so it's not scientific which is why they
don't say this is the result and here's
the probability
this is the probability that this could
have happened by chance as opposed to
effected as a hoax
they just call it circumstantial
evidence it's supposed to convince you
without giving you any scientific
information at all
and of course it's flawed i have
documented
all the flaws in these papers and posted
it on the internet
but then they did something even more
interesting what they did
was they did their own great rabbis
experiment
which was a hoax what they did was they
did it not on the book of genesis
but on the book of war and peace and
they claimed look we did the same thing
in war and peace so they could have done
the same thing in genesis what we did in
war and peace
and what they did was they manipulated
not the names
but the appalachians remember we talked
about the appellations well each rabbis
had many appellations for example
we talked about robbie eliot and
zalman one of his applications
is the is is uh the vilna going or
go in may vilna in hebrew but there's
another appalachian that's the gra
so each rabbit could have several
appellations what they do is they would
go all the appalachians that are present
anywhere in the rabbinic literature
even if it's not common even if no one
never knew about it they found some
source that claimed this was in
appellation
they would take it and then they would
test each one to see which ones work and
which ones don't work
and they would pick more of the ones
that work then don't work to bias
the probability that what's going to
come out in the end of course if you
have data
which is flawed going in you're going to
have board results coming out
data in you know sorry garbage in
garbage out
as they say in software
now of course there were some
appellations they couldn't change like
rambam there's no way you could change
my everyone knows rambam
so that they had to leave intact so
there were some good ones there but they
mixed in enough bad ones
so that something which should have come
out looking just purely random
came up looking almost exactly the same
as the great rabbi's experiment except
i'm worried
they said we did the same thing and we
didn't work that what they're really
saying is not that we did the same they
didn't do the same thing
what they're claiming is look we did a
hoax they didn't hide that they said of
course we got homes there's no codes in
war and peace
but since we were able to perpetrate a
hoax that looks
authentic they which them and ribs could
have also perpetrated a hoax that looks
authentic except that they did their
hoax in the book of genesis
and this was a valid complaint now it
turns out that if you're really really
knowledgeable about appellations
bibliography and so forth and so on
you can and we had several experts do
this you could see the difference
between the two
the one done for the great rabbis
experiment on genesis that one one
voracious
that one is using appellations that they
will agree that yeah this is the right
one to use
whereas the other one is just like i
never heard of that one well here's the
source i've never heard of that it
doesn't appear anywhere else
but you have to be knowledgeable in a
very very very
small section of rabbinic literature in
terms of appellations and what they're
used for and how they're used
in order to see the difference
now another problem they had was the
city's experiment i mean even if you say
that
the great rabbi's experiment was a hoax
what about the city's experiment well
you know what they just dismissed it
they ignored it
they say oh gans you know he's got
another version of it we haven't seen it
goodbye which was not true
now i also presented counterfeit codes
what's a counterfeit code it looks in
the matrix and the grid it looks real it
looks just like all the others
when you evaluate the probability it's
not significant at all
so it looks real but it's not then you
can check mathematically and see that
it's not real
but for the general public who doesn't
know the math behind it
it looks just as good as any of the
others
another point about this uh publication
in uh statistical science in may of 1999
is that general practice
is that when someone tries to rebut
to rebut a paper to say that there's a
fatal flaw in some paper and they're
going to publish it in the same journal
the journal will always give an
opportunity to the original author
to read beforehand to read what they
have to say
about it that they're trying to say he's
wrong and then to offer a response
to them and if he does offer a response
then the response would be published
along with the paper rebutting theirs
fair right someone says you're wrong
he's got to tell you why you're wrong
and you've got to be able to answer him
so of course wisdom went ahead and wrote
the statistical sciences and i hear that
you're
about to publish a paper by uh by the
critics
saying that my paper is a hoax i would
like to respond have a
response published also and he said of
course that's normal practice
but then the paper came out and mr
mother said what happened over here you
you never allowed me to respond this
year we changed our mind
so that's why there was no response and
as a result of that
the public in general decided that
the torah codes have been refuted the
critics had won the pr war
they hadn't won the mathematical war but
they did find
an interesting flaw in the great rabbis
experiment
namely you had to be an expert in a very
very specific field in order to
evaluate and there are very few people
who are
now the cities experiment is very very
interesting
one that they ignored and we'll see why
they ignored it
it was designed as i indicated before by
tv involved but he did it differently
than the great rabbis experiment yes it
was the same rabbi's names
and appellations but when he's putting
in the cities
he developed an algorithm there was no
human choice involved anymore
it was an algorithm you go to this
encyclopedia you get this information go
to that encyclopedia you do this you
compare if
it's the same you do this if it's not
the same you do that step by step by
step by step there's no
human choice involved in developing what
the cities are
what their names are what their hebrew
names are what the spellings of the
hebrew names are and so on
all done or they could actually program
a computer to do it
another interesting thing about the
city's experiment is that there's a
logical connection between them
because of the fact that the rabbi's
names in appellations are exactly the
same
in both the cities experiment and the
great rabbis experiment
logically you can show that
if the city's experiments succeeds which
it did
it implies logically that the
original great rabbis experiment was not
a hoax
and now we understand why the critics
just ignored
the city's experiment they didn't
mention it they just mentioned that
if they hadn't seen it i had withdrawn
of some version of it i was making a new
version they haven't seen it and that
was the end of it
so people believed and i think to a
great extent
still believe that the terror codes are
false
that was a hoax well anyway since then
we learned a good lesson all the
researchers on how to do it properly
so that it can't be a hoax and you can
demonstrate that it can't be a hoax
and many new scientific
experiments were done that succeeded
with a calculated probability
unlike the count of the codes where they
don't show you the probability because
that would show you right away why it's
a counterfeit
so for example the twin towers
this code was discovered by professor
eli yahoo rips who took keywords
out of the headline of the hebrew of the
israeli newspaper marev
on september 12 2001 that's one day
after the twin terrorist attack
so there's a headline talking about the
attack on the twin towers
what do they find
a terrorist attack
airplanes pamayum twice
these are answering the key questions
what happened a terrorist attack where
the twin towers
how with airplanes and twice not just
once
the probability remember
the threshold for believing this and
getting it published is one in a
thousand
the probability that he got for that was
one in nineteen
thousand four hundred and fifty five not
more than nineteen times more
significant than was needed for
publication
and it was accepted for publication in
the proceedings of the 18th
international conference on pattern
recognition
which is an international mathematics
organization it takes place in a
different venue every year
that year it happened to be in hong kong
in 2006.
so it did pass peer review another
one about the twin towers was discovered
by art levitt
again the twin towers ishmael
the arabs
the 23rd of the hebrew month of ello
which
in the year 2001 is september 11th so
there's the exact date of the terrorist
attack
this was published in the second inter
national interdisciplinary conference on
fundamental and applied aspects of
speech and language
in belgrade in the winter of 2004. now
an interesting thing about this code
is that similar to the code about the
prison where the royal prisoners were
kept it's a visit it's close to also a
verse next to these three words
by the way the probability is one in a
hundred thousand hundred thousand to one
that this just happened by chance
so we're not talking about random

the verse that it's near is exodus 32 28
about 3 000 people fell on that day
telling you approximately how many
people why approximately why not exact

has got to cover two different
historical events and it does

schwartzman and then later extended by

it's a single long phrase
29 letters long the longest what we call
co-linear code not
two things near each other not two elses
near each other
one long long one very unusual
it's the longest that's ever been found
and it says
i have named you destruction now
is just not to name like you name an
arbitrary object
it's to name the something by its
essence it's like if you call it
somebody oh he's a brain it means his
essence is brain he's very very smart
that's his essence he's great brain

now interestingly enough the first
reading of that seems to indicate we
don't really know what these mean
but the first reading seems to indicate
that the messiah will read vengeance
on bin laden so we checked with several
mukbar lim experts in kabbalah in aries
israel in israel
and every single one of them three
different ones all said the same thing
no that we do not we don't know for sure
but we don't think that that's at all
what it means
what it means is that mashiach will
revengence
on the whole subject of what bin laden
stands for
terrorism whatever else but not just
specifically bin laden

if they do you know for sure that the
typesetter did it
or the author did it and told the
typesetter to make sure that this
happens
if it doesn't continue well then you
have a question how do we get 20 a's in
a row like that i mean it's very unusual
but
you have no proof so to speak that
it didn't happen by chance
winston did the same thing with the book
of genesis you see
the book of genesis is 78 000 64 letters
long
he said you know what the torah is much
longer there's much more data
let's take a look at the next 78 064
letters
and he puts them together and looks for
codes that
are we already know about the ones that
are in the first 78 000 so we don't want
to include those so he gets around that
in a very clever way he's looking only
at the codes that are in the second half
or in span from one half to the other
and what he finds is guess what the
codes are there as well
and he gets a probability of forty two
to one
one in one thousand forty two enough to
pass the peer reviewers and it was
published
the simplest most powerful test and it
shows
that the great rabbis experiment was not
a fake it's real
because you know what if you do the same
exact test
on the critics war and peace take the
next 78 000 64 letters of war and peace
and
do the same thing nothing it doesn't
show up at all
because it's a fake it was only fake for
the first 78 064 it wasn't fake for the

did it work here it works there as well
not only that if you take the two the

and you switch the order it doesn't work

they've got to be in the right order so
what we now have is you don't have to be
a specialist

you have a mathematical test that can
distinguish between a counterfeit
and real and guess what the wrr the

being killed in israel per scud

outside of israel it's 18.6

over 180 times more people being killed
for scud
outside of israel than inside of israel
in fact it attracted the attention of
scientists
there was a paper published in the
british journal nature
it's a scientific journal by the premier
scientific journals
in the world january 28 1993 by fedor
lewis and grondland
the title was why were stud casualties
so low they noticed it was too small
the number of people that were killed
two but they have a formula
they have a formula for which you can
compute how many people did you expect
to be killed
all you need to do is put into the
formula certain things like for example
how big was the warhead what's the
population density did the people have
warning that the missile is coming in

formula predicts that 70.4 should have
been seriously wounded

hezbollah war between 3970 and 428
katyusha rockets fired into the north of
israel counting only the ones that
landed in residential areas and exploded
53 people killed but you expected 131.8
the odds 203 trillion to one
seriously injured 250 but you expected
387.3
18 trillion to one
2008 the gaza war tactician rockets and
kasams i assumed
all kasams because they're the smaller
of the missiles so we're going to get an
underestimate because they didn't
indicate how many what percentage were
katushas and one
the suns i just assumed orthosoms number
of people killed
15 number of people expected to be
killed 58.4
probability 1 in 54 billion
who can ensure that occupied buildings
held by a tremendous blast
collapsing burying people underneath and
no one is hurt
two people killed from 14 skies you know
what that means
12 times a stud comes down blows up
a building collapses people are buried
and everyone comes out and no one is
killed
everywhere else eighteen point three
people would be killed for each scot but
over here no one is killed
twelve times and then two times it's got
kills one person instead of eighteen
if you combine all the probabilities
across these three different wars
for the number of killed you get you get
a probability it's a decimal point and
29 zeros and a two
twenty nine zero zero two the number of
injured it's 29 zeros you have to the
decimal point
and a six those are incredibly small
probabilities
it didn't happen by chance so we see
hashem then 3 300 years ago
doing something which is totally beyond
the laws of nature
for telling the future in fine detail
which is what the prophets tell us
people tell you the end from the
beginning
you start the beginning they'll tell you
what's going to happen even if it's 3
300 years later from the last lecture we
know that he also created life
we know that he authored the torah
and he's in control of current events no
one else could possibly
have decided how many people are going
to be killed and no people is going to
be killed 12 times
when building explodes and collapses on
