just today just today I saw unfortunately something that seems to be like a pattern something seems to be like a pattern where uh you see people that were considered MIM you know there were people you know perhaps he's giving a lecture because he likes to help people but there's also another reason likes to help himself maybe it's to help line his pockets get a few extra shekels in his pocket wow it's like a celebrity in the Jewish world but eventually that all fails and unfortunately it's become a pattern in the uh last few years but especially in the last few months very strange that some of the fakers are showing their faces uh without even anybody calling them out they're calling themselves out where they simply completely drop everything just a few months ago a guy that was giving shim in the name of is for maybe 15 16 years him and his wife were giving shim you know all the uh loves you no matter what type of shim not real shim like sh like hasem loves you he's a puppy he works for you you don't work for him you know different not the same hm like us different AEM calls him AEM you know sometimes mic mic but it's not the same mic same thing he calls him AEM but after 15 16 years he decides to divorce his wife and uh go marry the secular life and he can completely shaved his beard shave his hair everything he's completely secular overnight listen maybe you don't want to be a rabbi you don't want to you know deal with the public every day I don't blame you quite frankly I want to quit every other day it's very hard this job it's very hard it's ungrateful people on top of it it's tough as far as financials it's tough in every aspect it's tough you want to quit every no problem you quit quit but that's not quitting that's quitting something's wrong you quit that's something's wrong that that you don't want to be a m you don't want to speak to the public okay no I get it but to quit Judaism something was wrong the whole time he wasn't the only one to come to his every sh you see hundreds and hundreds of people he had he would say good things but every time he would talk about his past before he did chuva you saw that he wasn't really sorry about it you're talking about how he made millions of dollars and he would go out with different girls he would do this and he would do that he was like happy about his past but now he's like a religious that means that okay telling everybody else do you but you yourself haven't done CH yet so what happened is eventually he didn't like the way things were going some other Rabbi made fun of him called him out exposed him exposed some things about him that he didn't like and instead of saying okay maybe defend it or maybe just leave leave the Limelight what did he do he left you see pictures of him on the internet today he moved back to America he moved back to Florida every other day he posts pictures with girls it's assistants every every assistant in his office has to be a woman he cannot have one single male figure in his office 10 women don't know you know he doesn't give payment enough money to to to buy clothes apparently no sleeves no uh no arms no nothing left how how do you talk about listen you have to keep Shabbat you have to keep Shabbat and all of a sudden you leave everything how could it be you don't want to do it I understand but to leave a doesn't make singing to them was happy with them you know but never fully abandoned his past life spoke to him a few times try to give him some but unfortunately when you are one of 10 people giving a person unless you're it's not going to work why if you're getting for me but you're also listening to to all the Kim in the world you're listening to all theim you know you give all theim you have the the like it's like imagine somebody went to a very fancy shancy restaurant in this restaurant every meal every meal $500 meaning you have to be rich to eat there or just crazy with 500 bucks in your pocket you go to this restaurant they give you the food food's fancy so you know when you know what happens with food how you know food is fancy how can you tell his food is fancy it's a little bit of it that's how you know it's fancy it's F if it's a lot of bit it's Poor People's food it's like uh you know from from the Middle East like me the Middle East poor people you come to my house on Shabbat my wife serves you a PL you could take home and feed your whole family you go to my mom you could feed the entire neighborhood just what the children she puts on your plate you can Fe just go with your plate eat whatever you finish eating but take the plate with you we have Anu take the plate with you you can feed guys no no food food how how long did you go to eat no I just went to uh to food and a restaurant all these fancy people everybody's wearing a suit even the waiters wearing a suit nice suit $1,000 suit and he comes with the plate like this you know and you're like you you can't wait to eat this you know you all you order two meals just so we make sure that you have for both teeth yeah two meals yeah this fancy comes over comes he comes but on the other side the guy that just finished cleaning the plumbing there was some Plumbing problem in the restaurant it happens even in F rest their problem is the problem so he was cleaning the plumbing he came out with his bucket now his bucket didn't have nice stakes in it it had the after what happens to the steak after and he was taking it and the restaurant guy the janitor guy they're both about to meet and then as they're about to clash the janitor kicks the chair and slips and the liquid from his little bucket go right into your fancy shancy plate now again it was only like one little drop one little was like the whole thing just one little drop went into your $500 plate I mean after all it's a $500 plate how much would you pay for it now $450 you would take it 400 no no no restaurant owner says listen we can't uh come on 350 still a fancy plate no how much you going to pay zero zero why it's disgusting even with a little bit of Filth in it the whole thing is disgusting it's no different than if a woman buys a fancy dress a fancy gown for 25 $30,000 but her careless husband who smoked cigarettes passes by her and accidentally his cigarette touches her dress and makes a tiny little hole what stuff about if you don't keep Shabbat and uh you're say Okay wa maybe I should keep Shabbat maybe I should keep Shabbat so now now you understand that you have to take off Shabbat why because you can work on Shabbat but not only you have to take off Shabbat Friday becomes a half a day you might as well not go in why shabbat comes in sometimes during the year at like 4:30 you can't show up at home at 4:00 if you want to keep Shabbat why you have to prepare you have to cook you have to clean you have to get yourself ready you can't show up a half hour before Shabbat or even an hour before Shabbat thinking your Shabbat is going to be anything to look to to look forward to you have to already stop your day already to 2 hours before Shabbat so what are you going to do you tell the guy listen I got a key and I got to change my schedule I'm going to work extra on Sunday I'm G to work extra during the week I won't leave at 7 I'll leave at 9: and so on and so forth now to do that requires a lot of why you have to have number one that he's not going to fire you the boss so I say what do you mean you're gonna not going to work for us you're the top salesman in the company and you're not going to work on Shabbat are you out of your mind we're going to lose all millions of dollars over Sals because of this new hobby of yours called Shabbat what do you what do you call this thing of yours all my other Jewish friends don't keep Shabbat what are you doing this thing for he's that's what he's gon to tell you all my Jewish friends don't keep they work on Shabbat I'll even give you examples of all the millionaires that he knows that work on Shabbat so now you're hoping number one he doesn't fire you number two biger let's say you have a boss that's actually a decent human being says listen as long as you're going to make up for it during the rest of the week you're going to work longer hours you're pretty much you're going to hit your quot I don't really care how you do it whether you work on sat Saturday on the Shabbat of yours or you don't work it doesn't really make a difference to me you're going to hit your quota I don't care if you work one day a week but you're GNA hit your quota no problem let's say you have a boss like that which happens sometimes now you have to have the and that you're actually going to meet your quot without working on the number one day of the week for sales for business that's a lot of I had a student five years ago who went through that same exact he was is actually working in the car business and uh he was a top salesman and he told his boss listen I can't work on Shabbat anymore I have to change my life and so on and so forth he happened to be lucky that his boss liked him and he liked his sales also and he said okay go for it and he says that after took off Shabbat initially he thought he's going to make less money but gave him a blessing he ended up making more money without working on Shabbat shortly later I had another student worked for AT&T and AT&T I never knew it but AT&T has a very interesting way of managing their schedule of all the people that do the lines that put Cable in your houses and all the technology stuff so anyway they don't ask you what schedule you want they simply just give it to you so this guy Russian guy when he came to me was a complete atheist within three he was I going to do I said tell your company you can't work on Shabbat he says he there's no system you can't do that with AT&T to be company it's not like a boss you have to tell the manager the manager a sick day you have to tell you have to tell them you're going to be sick three weeks ahead you have to be like a prophet listen Tuesday February 17 2027 I'm going to be sick what are you going to through different things long story short the guy takes the leap of faith he tells the boss I can't show up on Shabbat the boss says okay so uh you could just collect your stuff and uh go to unemployment department cuz you're fired no no no fired I'm just saying I can't work on Shabbat I don't want to quit because if you're not working on Saturday Saturday you can work for AT&T goes no no I want to work but I can't I have to do goes listen you signed a contract with us when you signed out you sign a contract you sign a contract this is going to be your days you're going to work whenever we tell you we're telling you this your religious freedom and stuff like that you already signed it off at the beginning yeah you have freedom of religion yeah but you sign a contract that pretty much put that in the garbage so he comes back to me he tells me listen listen they said I'm going to get fired I said okay so quit he goes when am I I'm going to pay my bills I said listen you cannot work on Shabbat no matter what would lose money don't lose money don't make a difference he was a good listener and he went to the bus again he says listen uh AT&T guy I uh I can't work on Shabbat he said okay fine so we'll find a replacement for you oh you're going to find a replacement for justat he goes no no we're going to find a replacement for your all your whole route no no I don't want to quit again the whole thing again cuz to me again because he's not understanding I said forget about him is obviously making it really difficult for you why he wants you to believe in him he wants you to believe in him he goes everybody believe in him already he goes no no you say you believe in him you say because you read it in a book and you heard me say some nice things and some jokes and some uh face and all that stuff that I do you like it but to show you believe you have to do something about it so the guy decides okay I'm I'm going to tell the boss one more time listen boss guy I'm not coming on Shabbat he goes listen you don't come on Shabbat you're fired he says you could do what you want but I'm not coming okay Shabbat comes he doesn't go keep Shabbat what say Shabbat he sees his phone has like 80 messages where are you huh what's going on H Sunday he goes to work like nothing happened well says what what happened to you yesterday cuz I told you I'm not coming on Shabbat he goes listen never ever do that again cuz I told you I'm not coming on Shabbat he goes never do that again I'm going to fire you I don't want to fire you're a nice guy I like you but you do good work don't ever do that again goes I'm not coming on Shabbat the next week he's by me he's not going over there obviously we don't go to at Shabbat we too late so he doesn't go on Shabbat Shabbat he sees this time less messages but still a bunch of messages Sunday he goes to work with nothing happened where were you I told you I'm not coming on he goes listen listen one more time I'm going to fire you this continues for six months six months six months he continues not showing up on Shabbat eventually it's they stopped leaving in messages after six months he took my advice started his own business started his own business made a little bit more money and life continued after that sometimes you have to show that you trust him but the only way you're going to be able to do that is if you follow the instruction set if you follow the Torah if you don't learn Torah then you're not going to know how to follow it if you don't learn T you're not going to know how to follow it meaning you have to learn T in order to actually exercise this the problem is that sometimes people pick and choose which part of the Torah they want to learn they only want to learn the want this and that's a mistake that's a mistake because when you are limiting the Tor you're in essence also limiting a because you're limiting the way that he communicate to you now one of the things that messes with a lot of people is when they are very materialistic when they're very materialistic they like nice stuff they like cars and houses and all that different things and that's actually one of the tools of the Satan to try to break you how so if everything is going good you got a job you're making a few dollars you got a uh wife or a husband that you care about you got a few kids driving you crazy you got stuff going on it's easy to have it's easy well what's so hard about having hasm is giving you everything you want job hasem gave him everything he want he was not only Rich he was the richest man of the land says meaning he was a multibillionaire multi-billionaire he had 10 kids he had kids he had a wife he famous he was a prophet talk to so Satan says to he goes of course he has beat you as suppose he loves you you gave him everything he could possibly want let's see if you take everything from me let's see what kind of he has Hashem says you can take everything away from him except his life let's see let's test him and it's a whole book in the T one of the 24 books of the tanak it says what happened to job initially he didn't like that test so much why paying your nice 50 60 70 $880,000 a year comfortable you're comfortable your rents paid on time your mortgage paid on time your vacation's on time everything's on time okay okay I'm going to make it not on time why the company's going to have layoffs they're going to choose you as one of the 10,000 people they're going to lay off and then you're not going to be able to find a job no one's going to want to hire you like you have uh some type of disease or something you have all of a sudden no one wants to hire you all of a sudden you don't have any money all of a sudden you have to borrow money from family and friends because you don't know how to survive what am I going to do yeah I have to pay rent I don't next thing you know everybody that was helping you says listen buddy we've been helping you already for three months no go find a job I've been looking for a job no I want a job I want to work listen I can't help you anymore all of a sudden the help the the the hand that's feeding you that's helping you doesn't want to help you anymore Hashem makes you and puts you in a very desperate situation why he wants to see do you really believe in me or no he wants to see why apparently you need to test I don't know I'm not AEM so I don't know why you need the test or why I need a test or why anybody need a test test but apparently gives many people this test he takes away money but sometimes people don't take it well I spoke to a guy that was a multi-millionaire just last week now he was crying about the fact that uh he used to have many many millions and now somebody stole like $30 million from him and now he only has like you know a few million left poor guy you give me a few million dollars I figure out what to do with it but he was crying he only had a few million dollars left he goes now listen I have this little property it's little one over here it's only worth like 900,000 I'll figure something out to do with it like I was crying about that said listen maybe you should watch my personal story uh I talk a little bit about a little bit I know a little bit about money so I talk a little bit about it in the personal story anybody didn't watch it's in there so then he watches it he says wait a minute at the end of this at the end of I like the lecture it's good but at the end of the story you said that you lost everything like to the last conclusion what's the conclusion you should have arrived you should have arrived oh is still alive getting a second chance I don't have it as bad as this guy had it a lot of things no instead what did he say ah if's gonna take all my money might as well kill me meaning you still value material so much so that it's more valuable to you than your life you still didn't get the message sometimes people
