Washing hands does nothing whatsoever for the laws of tuma. Washing hands does not in any way take off the laws of tuma. What it does is it takes off [music] more of a cabalistic idea called ruach ra'ah. They're like evil spirits cabalistically that attach themselves to you, and they hang around your fingernails, and as a result through the ritual [music] of netilat yadayim, the ruach ra'ah is mistalek, [music] but that is a cabalistic notion.
