Hadar HaTorah Winter "Yeshivacation" 5786

Hi, my name is Avram Plager, and I just did the 10-day Yeshiva Vacation program at Hadar. Um I had an amazing experience and got to connect with so many other amazing Jewish guys. Um and made some lifelong friendships through it. Um I was very scared initially uh going to the program. I knew it was something that I wanted to do. I knew I needed to go to Yeshiva for at least a few days. Um and I was a little scared of it being a stuffy environment with uh with not so great living conditions, and um it was just the complete opposite. Hadar was an amazing environment. The people there were so welcoming and um really just encouraging you to grow in your Yiddishkeit. Um and it was just a no no pressure environment. It was very open and accepting, and it allowed me to realize I was much better at a lot of other things that I thought I wasn't. Uh my Hebrew reading was a lot better than I thought it was. My ability to, you know, comprehend and have a discussion about Talmud was much better than I thought it was. Um that wouldn't have been possible without the Yeshiva Vacation experience. Um and just being able to be outside of normal college, university, um outside of normal everyday life, and just being in that um that Yeshiva environment was so amazing. Um so Yeshiva Vacation was one of the best choices I've ever made, and looking forward to coming back again next year.
