grand reopening welcome to Australia located at 978 River Avenue right across OK Vine yep anybody that lives in Lakewood knows about Australia one of the first restaurants that opened up in Lakewood they were recently closed for the last eight months and just did beautiful Renovations in the BL first of he's the guy that is going to be the manager at AA beautiful look nice the ambience Shina wooden ceiling with the sh zus in the back and all of furniture baboose the owner all righty tell us a little bit about your history I know Australia goes back I think 12 years ago when you opened up one of the first ones Restaurant Lake H actually I U in the restaurant business for more than 12 years I opened up about 15 16 years ago um uh a place called remone Steakhouse for the guys that are here in town for a lot of years what it remon remon steakhous wow never knew that um it it was located in the corner of chestnut on Route 9 UM exactly where Four Corners is right now um it was an old old shopping center there was no other Jewish uh store over there was all a bunch of G um I took it over from an Israel guy who opened up uh a Mediterranean style um restaurant which um I don't even know if I had a he uh but uh he didn't do so well and he was and he was moving uh he was working he was working with a son together and his son was working out of town he was moving out of town so he just he gave it to me for real cheap you know that I could I could just take it over and uh you know I I took it over and uh I focused a lot on it we had it for about 3 years and then uh by the way I think that time you also had the store superstop you owned that store that's right that's right well superstop I opened uh it's about 18 19 years ago so you a real Pioneer doing yeah yeah I mean those days there wasn't much going on in this side of town forget about Oak Vine even uh I mean Chateau was just being finished being built uh Elwood wasn't here hot stone there was almost no Jewish people what was this place before before you came in uh uh this place was a bar for going used to be a hangout uh every single night there was uh you know the lak police keeps on thanking me that I took over this place because they were here every night arresting people um uh uh so uh so you took it over you renovated then I took it over I took me about a year year and a half We R the whole the whole building the whole place you opened up a a two one upstairs one downstairs we have a kitchen downstairs we have kitchen upstairs we do a brist we do V shabas events in house caring days you know we have a busy kitchen over here fine now let's talk about the restaurant first of all how big is the place this kick TOS how many seats do you have over here uh approximately uh 65 to 70 seats in this room um we also have a private VIP room uh holds about 10 to 12 people oh I didn't see that where's that in the back uh right over here oh wow nice it's shiny to go wow who designed this place this design we have a li license uh and uh we have a nice variety of wines uh mixed drinks gal fine Yuda I think you should uh come over here and explain us the dishes so we have a brand new menu as uh rip told you people were looking for a more affordable option with a little bit more Mediterranean style so we have over here we start off with a nice complimentary house spread p with matuka Amur is Asian type of salad he got the beautiful humus plate over here we tapped it with wow looks good the grilled chicken there's many different options you could have with that this is what I like because a lot of times you know Dimension this are appetizer I like this I like that over here we have all different you have one plate you can share everybody can take one of the stuff and one of our biggest sellers the starter board which comes with the popcorn chicken the Asian beef spring rolls our sh rib wols and our St beef stuffed mushrooms okay this is the soup soup this is the night beef soup which is a very big seller people love it this is our it's an appetizer starter but it's lamb chops people uh love that too today steak this is our 14 oz classic ribey very well priced that's a great option affordable option so this 14 oz riby cost $75 and comes automatically with two sides with the french fries as we said before grilled vegetables wow this is a 24 oz cowboy with our batter dip onion rings with Yuka mashed potatoes over here now let's continue with today this is our scoes so we have three different options we showed a showcase over here too our lamp scores our RI scores we also have the grilled chicken scers also okay what's this over here here's our SLE sandwich with our house fries very nice very full and here's our Caesar salad we have many different options over here we topped it with our grilled chicken fan we forgot to show you one more thing there's many different options that we not show you but this is a beautiful gisha plate that people love this is our short ribs with a bed of mashed potatoes crispy onions and also our grilled vegetables again it comes with other options of size guys this is only part of our menu um all right guys now let's finish
