[Music] [Applause] [Music] so in three days we are going to celebrate yom kippur one of the most powerful days of the year that the reason why it's powerful because yom kippur has the ability to atone for most of your sins which begs a big question how and why dufka that day will atone for most sins now the reasons why i'm saying most because yom kippur does not atone for sins between me and another person that's why you had now the whole month of elul to go and patch things up with people and you still have three days to call people approach people come amen to become amends with people and to make sure that there's nobody holding grudge nobody's upset nobody's angry because other than that yom kippur is you're going to lose most of its power another group of sins that yom kippu will not atone is all the sins of karet and mithabi deshame we went through that i don't want to repeat but it is all the sins that there are severe sins that the punishment is correct that the soul gets cut off and meetable is death by the heavenly courts yom kippur will not atone for that rather will put the sin on hold now you have to go through a series of hardship and suffering and whatever it is will reach to an atonement now comes another big question is this a day of atonement what's called kapara or is that a day of silica or forgiveness or a day of merciless well that's a pardon these are but nevertheless this is a minimum of a six hour prayer then you have minha and naila it's mainly the prayer and why the prayer i told you already we went through that with the with the power of prayer the prayer is what elevates you to a higher level but practically saying you have to do chuva sunday if you think it's going to be too intense sunday do it today make a list of what you're
