students of the retical College of [Applause] America inconspicuous as they may seem who uh haven't slept in about a week putting this Fair together you can see every detail that shows how much uh effort and sincerity went into it 10 years ago was uh my first Jewish renaissance fair and the act the main act that year was M Duo that was the beginning of the beginning of a very close relationship with M yes Mo yes says been so wonderful a cafe D'Or over many many years and I've tried to bring him back under many guises throughout the years the different fairs with Mama by himself for the children he's done wonderful things many cassettes for adults for children working on a phenomenal TV show we're about to [Music] uh we're about to review this uh week should be on the Airways soon it's called the Jewish kids show and anything that's creative in Jewish music today comes from right here I'm very proud to introduce a very good friend and one of the best entertainers around ladies and gentlemen a big hand for Moa yes two three four thank you all right [Music] my Z lived with us in my parents home he used to laugh he put me on his knee and he spoke about his life in Poland he spoke but with a bitter memory and he spoke about the soldiers who would beat him and they laughed at him they tore his Long Black Coat and he spoke about a synagogue that they burnt down and the crying that was heard beneath the smoke but Zade made us laugh Zade made us sing and lady made a kidish Friday night Zade oh my Z how I love him so and Z used to teach me wrong from right his eyes lit up when he would teach me Torah and he taught me every line so carefully and he spoke about our slavery in Egypt and how God took us out to make us free but winter went by summer came along I went to Camp to run and play and when I came back home they said zade's gone and all his books were packed and sto away and I don't know how or why it came to be it happen slowly over many years we just sto being Jewish like my Z was and no one cared enough to shed a tear but Z made us laugh Z made a sing and Z made a s night and z Oh My Z how I love him so and Z used to teach me wrong from right and many Winters went by and many Summers came along and now my children sit in front of me and who will be the Zade of my children who will be their Z if not me who will be the zes of our children who principal brought the new rebi in first day of the term and he said to him show discipline be strong tough and firm don't think these youngsters run the school he said with a big frown and by the way for the next few weeks I'm going out of town well this here Reby he was strange he never lost his cool he kept right on teaching while we broke all the rules even though we hadn't learned a single thing all year it was pesak time already and that Reby was still here Reby tried to teach us Torah each and every day we just close our eyes and ears to everything he'd say and all we like to do we sit and watch our TV sets we talk about the Yankees and the Dodgers and the Mets you got any Mets fans here today yeah well when LBA came around it was time for the big game against those boys from Brooklyn how we prayed it shouldn't rain all nine of us got on the bus with our gloves and bat Reby also came along with his jacket tie and hat what's this clown doing next to me here all right he
