Force Creates Resistance—Warmth Creates Change.

One day the wind came to the sun and said, "Do you see that man over there? Let me show you how I can get his coat off first." So the son said, "All right." And the wind blows, chills, pushes, and tries with all its might to get the man's coat off. And the more she increases her strength, the more he wraps himself up, clings to his coat, and holds onto it even tighter. Then the sun comes and sends out a ray, then another, gently caressing him from every direction with pleasant warmth. [music] And then he takes off his coat by himself. This beautiful story carries a message for each of us who sometimes thinks that taking [music] a cold critical approach confronting someone will lead to the results and change we hope for. But the opposite is true. A kind word, seeing the good, a warm attitude, and focusing on what is there. That's what leads to real [music] change.
