its time is toronto you really can't separate the two whatever our our city is like today is the result of of children who went to its kind what i think of the contribution that all the taminna men a time experience is that you just have to look at them today very big people being very successful today and all started off in a time it's always beautiful to see the impact that people are making who were graduates of aids high elementary school really all over the world is been around for so long that every place you look in toronto the foundation of the community comes from the seeds that were planted from previous generations it's just an amazing place historically and it's also just this amazing place to be able to form a new vision and and to do new things because that's what was done 100 years ago things that were never done anyplace else not in canada not in the united states yet nothing like that had ever been done to form talmud torah in a community and to eventually form it to a day school these were revolutionary moments for judaism and for toronto and for really for all of canada and the united states for all of north america when i walk in the morning i look at the boys and i look around i say kind word to them see if anybody needs a pick-me-up statement good morning a lift up which is really my goal i'm really here to define the individualistic talents and what we call characteristics or who knows nature's of every boy to reach into him and show him that he can reach his potential he can strive he can thrive my goal and my mission at is to make each and every student feel that they belong here make them feel comfortable there's always some person someone available to attend to any of their needs that they might have throughout the day the friends here are amazing they're obeying really not to connect with the students and just the the learning here is just off the amazing thing about what i do in grade four is that not only am i able to teach grateful i'm able to relive grade four because i was once grateful for innes client i was part of the school as a child having the ability to come back and teach the boys all over again it's a tremendous opportunity i remember shabasim i believe at rabbi levine's house rabbi rand's house and it was just a sense of that they were there for you in a figure that was more than just a teacher there was something special i think that stuck with me forever it continues to you're really teaching the student you're not teaching the information you're connecting to the yid you're not uh you know looking to cover another puzzle so when i think about my years in a time i don't just think about you know fun times and good memories it was really a total picture of really good education good skills great social development you know i remember if you were great at sports you had where to shine it was very special we had during those years who to guild that i'm sure it carried on for when after i had left but he would come to the choir with us and obviously had a major impact on my music career today when i was in azkai and we had a very wide range of students of girls from different family backgrounds what i learned from it was to love and respect every single jew it didn't matter what they were like and the graduates of east high actually went on to many great things in toronto and beyond and it's always beautiful to see the impact that people are making who were graduates of eighth high elementary school really all over the world we have an incredibly dynamic innovative and forward-thinking team of staff verbaem teachers our preschool staff and we all come together to create a very vibrant learning community after eight years here at eighth grade i really really feel like i can look back and say that i'm ready to go into high school and to thank a client for everything that they've given to me all the skills i've really learned a lot when i think of coming to ace climb each morning what i'm most excited about is getting to see all my friends and teachers i especially like it when my dabbing teacher says good morning to me every day it makes me feel really special when we were a young family and just deciding what school to send our kids we made a calculation and we wanted our kids to go to a time and one of the reasons for that is that when you look at the spectrum of jewish education in the city of toronto and you look at all the institutions and all the other fantastic schools that are there italian has this wonderful balance has a balance of limu they call this and you see that kind of idea developed throughout the generations in other words the young kids they take what they learned in a time and they take that to their professions they take that into their roles in the community they take that into the the leadership in in across canada and across the world we wanted that for our children [Music] [Applause] [Music] you
