So, we've landed in Abu Dhabi. I'm now
going to go rent my car and drive into
the city to Dubai, which is about an
hour and a half away.
And yeah, this is probably the country
that I've wanted to visit most for the
past 10 years. So, I am super super
super super super pumped and excited to
finally be here.
So, I just got through passport control
and everybody is super friendly, very
welcoming. Um, despite my appearance as
an obvious Jew, everyone has been
amazing so far. And now my baggage is
here. So, I'm going to get it and get
out into the city.
Oh my.
So, just checked into the hotel in Dubai
and I'm going to go see my room now and
then I'm going to run out and explore
this city.
Oh, the card goes there to let Okay,
perfect. Thank you.
Thank you.
[Applause]
It's a nice room.
Thank you.
So, the first thing I need to do right
now is eat something cuz I'm starving. I
haven't eaten anything all day. And it's
almost 2:00 p.m. I have this yummy food
from Kabad of India. And after that, I'm
going to get out on my way into the city
and explore. Now, I just got the news
that I'm probably going to have a
massive interview tomorrow in Dubai, and
I do not have a clean shirt. So, I'm
going to take this down to to the front
desk and hopefully they can get it
cleaned by the morning. That is where
I'm holding right now.
So, I'm at the world famous Dubai Mall,
and there's supposed to be some really
awesome fountains here that I'm coming
to check out and to check out the mall.
It's one of the most fanciest malls in
the world.
So, come on in.
[Music]
Ah, this is crazy.
It's huge and very fancy.
[Music]
This is one fountain, but it's not the
one we're looking for. But it's still
pretty impressive. It's supposed to be a
bigger one outside.
[Music]
So I'm here.
Got the Burj Khalifa behind me. Tallest
building in the world.
Thank you, Hashem. Awesome to be here.
[Music]
This city is awesome.
Really, really like this city.
Very relaxed, very tolerant, very
open-minded.
I've been wanting to come here for so
long. Finally, I'm here.
There's nothing like making a dream come
true.
[Music]
Okay, so
boiling hot here
finally. It was really hot outside. The
mall is cooled very nicely. Good AC in
there.
Okay, just got back into my room, ready
to go to sleep for the night. Thank God
I looked into my closet and my clothing
has arrived, my shirt and my suit all
nice and clean and pressed so I can go
to this meeting tomorrow with the
billionaire
and uh look good. Thank you, Hashem.
Good morning. It is day number two here
in Dubai and I am Davening Shakras now.
It's about 8:30. You have to dive in
quickly because very soon in 2 hours I
have to be at my meeting with this Dubai
billionaire who built most of the city.
It's going to be fascinating.
Okay, so I just got to the building
where I'm supposed to be meeting Mr.
Alhabur.
Okay, so this is the building behind me
is the Alhabur group headquarters. I
just met with Mr. Abdur. It was an
unbelievable, amazing, amazing meeting.
He's a really nice guy. He said some
fascinating things and uh thank God.
Thank you, Hashem. Thank you, Hashem. It
was the best interview I've ever done.
So, I'm just checking out of the hotel.
Valet is putting my stuff away.
Thank you so much. How are you?
Wonderful. Thank God. How are you?
Okay.
This for you.
Thank you.
One for you, too.
Thank you, man. Appreciate it.
Be well. Okay. Thank you so much.
Thank you. We'll see you next time.
Okay.
Okay. Have a good one.
Okay. So, I checked out of the hotel and
I am now visiting one of the most iconic
landmarks in Dubai. It's called the
Dubai Frame and it's a massive, massive,
massive picture frame in the sky. Check
it out.
Can't see it so well right now, but let
me get out from behind the trees.
and you'll see it. There we go.
So,
there's an elevator up there. You can go
to the top and there's supposed to be an
insane view, but I don't have time right
now. So, I'm just going to came here to
get that picture and get out of here.
Move on to some other spots.
Okay, so I'm in the old Dubai spice
souk, which is one of the oldest and
most traditional areas of Dubai.
Okay, so I'm here with Ali in his spice
shop in the the old souk. And check out
this mix of spices. They scratch it off
like that and it goes into chicken, you
said, and rice.
Chicken, mutton, fish, rice,
yum. This is just for spice.
This is for spice.
Everything smells so good.
Red pepper, black pepper,
peppers, mixed pepper,
mixed pepper. Wow.
Red, black, mixed, white, and
it's beautiful stuff.
They have also long peppers.
Yeah.
This are sin, cloves, dry ginger,
coffee, coffee. And this is two
different types of turmeric. This is for
cooking. This is for face massage.
Really? For skin massage? Yeah.
Also have salt.
How do you learn all this stuff?
Pink salts from Himalaya.
Yeah.
Yes. Very nice.
Also have oil here for cooking, for
massage, for beer, for paint, Arabic
perfume, chocolates.
You know what's you know what was the
best?
The the eucalyptus smelled so good.
And also the Arabian fruit tea smelled
amazing.
Very.
So this is eucalyptus and mint.
Eucalyptus mint.
And I don't know what just happened, but
he
small like this.
You put it in water
or in a cold blanket cover and smell it.
Wow. Oh my goodness. He just put it on a
coal and he blew it in my face and I've
never felt so clear in my throat in a
long time. And my nose is really good.
Okay, let's let's take some of that. The
small one. Okay. No, no, no, no. The
small one.
Yes.
Fill it up till the top.
We're just getting this Arabian fruit
tea because it's heavenly. It smells so
good. I cannot refuse it.
Okay, that's it. I have to leave before
you sell me something else.
[Music]
Good morning. It is Tuesday morning. I'm
in Abu Dhabi. I got here last night. I
just went to sit down on the bed and I
collapsed and just fell asleep till the
morning. I'm leaving right now. So, I
did not get a chance to see Abu Dhabi,
but I know I'll be back. God willing, I
will be back very soon.
Now, I have to rush to the airport. My
flight is in 3 and 1 half hours. See you
later.
The end. It is time to get back to New
York. Back to normal life. I know I'll
be back.
This is one of my new favorites.
See you later.
