Final Day of Tent City Lakewood NJ

[Music] all right so we're we're packing up in Tent City today's the last day uh got to be out of Dodge at sundown 8:00 and uh so just some of the stuff that we use for the community generators wood stoves and just other things that were uh Community items we're packing up and putting on the bus and going to be parking somewhere of course the uh uh the goals the future goals is uh you know a better Community um Destiny's Bridge some some place where it's a sustainable Community where everybody cont tributes to the community uh and they give back uh that's that's the uh hopefully the outcome or you know this is the uh caterpillar and and Destiny's bridge will be the butterfly and so now we're in the metamorphis stage and uh yeah we're going to move forward so again what we've got here what we accomplished in tent city was we brought awareness to the situation we've got homeless in Suburbia and uh we need to address that as a society we just can't continue to push the homeless to other counties and Sher our responsibilities uh as the uh you know the fathers of our community the powers that be they've got to address the situation stand up as men and do the right thing and realize that there's a you know there's a cross uh uh section or AC cross population of all people of all different types you know people with mental illness people with addictions uh in every in every society and so we've got to address that be be Men of Honor men of character and address that situation and instead of trying again to to sh that responsibility and pass it on to somebody else so again we're packing up but again it's uh hopefully uh we'll move on to something better uh we we we'll learn from Tent City will uh you know create a better Society a community where people can feel like they're part of a community of society and um uh it give you know that stuff that brings self-worth and dignity and uh uh builds character and wants people to contribute back to the society and so we we'll create those uh you know create those elements those emotional elements that everybody needs to feel like they're part of the of the society instead of shunning people you know ostracizing ing them uh kicking to them to the curb uh you know let's include them they're Americans uh they deserve the best that we can do to help them in their situation no matter what what it might be
